We have used MEI a few times in the past for crating decorative stone pieces for shipment domestically and internationally and have been very pleased with the professionalism and quality of the work. Unfortunately - today the Houston MEI fell far short of our expectations. We had scheduled the building of three crates in our warehouse with a 7:00 AM start time. At 8:00 AM no one had arrived so we called MEI and let them know that we weren't happy.
The coordinator of the effort told us that the driver was on the way but that they had never wanted to do our crating job and would be happy to cancel. Possibly our job was too small to be of interest to MEI (?) but since we accepted their bid - we expected them to follow through. At 8:30 after waiting an hour and a half we cancelled. The driver showed up a few minutes later at the wrong location. The Houston division of MEI is a service company that apparently doesn't know it's providing a service.
