This company met expectations. We had some issues with the movers mistakenly not picking up some of the items to be moved, but the manager quickly acknowledged the oversight and rectified the issue the day after! The owner even stopped by during the move to check on his crew at which time he introduced himself to me and provided some cold drinks for the hard working guys!

Tate the great came through when we needed a mover within 24 hours. Eric was the driver and lead and did an excellent job along with his 3 side workers. Derrick in the office got us set up and made sure we would be taken care of all within a short period of time.

Everyone was extremely professional, polite, and attentive. We asked for a quote online and a representative called immediately, after receiving the quote, we did a deposit and was all set. The value of having piece of mind with such a big day! Our moving day came, there was 3 gentleman, all 3 were early, the customer service was top notch. They were fast and organized. They actually secured a few things that I thought I had packed well. Moving into a new build our concern was the walls and the floors. They took care of all our furniture along with our new home. I moved from an apartment to a house through Tate the great and i was left 100% satisfied. Eric, Tobias, and Rafael were the movers and they were awesome! Very friendly, nice, and understanding. All 3 were great men who got the job done! It sure was great.

We hired Tate the Great to help us move our display wall items into our office from the delivery truck they came on. The process was excellent from start to finish! The office staff was responsive, the crew that came to our office was on-time, friendly and worked really hard. Eddie and his team are great! In all, I could not be more pleased. I have moved 24 times in the last 40 yrs and know a thing or two about it. I am beyond pleased with Tate The Great Moving Company. They picked the right name for their business. Thomas was very thorough in preparing me for a move/long term storage. We had 5 gentlemen take care of our move led by Eddie. Eddie's experience really showed and was extremely helpful on a stressful day.moving always is. Tate's whole crew was phenomenal. Professional, friendly, hard-working and always checking in with me if everything was up to my expectation. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this moving/storage company!

EDIT UPDATE: In response to the owners comment. The last minute change was to ask if they would quote on a second job in addition to the first. It was irrespective of the first. Accommodating false 'last minute' changes wasn't the issue they cancelled. Below is why. Paid a deposit with Tate the Great yesterday on the recommendation as a strategic partner for the self storage company I had hired.

I had reached out today to see if they wanted to quote on a smaller additional move. He had said it was possible and would add it into the move I already had booked with them. In my conversation with Thomas I raised my concerns that he had spoken to UNITS Storage about the unit I had requested and not come to me directly. Instantly the second move was not available and could not be accomodated. 10 minutes later I get a call from UNITS storage saying they are pulling the container job and the move job. Tate's didn't even bother to call to cancel they would have been a no show. Both jobs were booked for today and tomorrow. Do not hire this business as if you raise concerns with them about your job they do not like this and just cancel.

Very responsive and friendly professional management and Movers. Called to ask if they could come several hours earlier than scheduled because they were finished more quickly with an earlier move. Was able to make it work but I think they would have stuck to the original schedule if I couldn't. Two big thumbs up!

Had a couple of issues with some damage done to my dresser and bed. The owner did contact me pretty fast to get it resolved. Dresser did get fixed but, it doesn't take away from it being damaged in the first place. I would refer them to friends but, don't know if I would I hire movers in general again.

Company cancelled my move 10 days prior with no apology or compensation, after it was their scheduling mistake. I had paid a deposit and booked 3-4 weeks earlier. Their guys were courteous and did a reasonable job. Not super efficient, but I would not trust their dependability, especially after I spoke to the owner, Thomas and he had nothing to offer for this error.

I want to advise that if you have any problems, the owner or insurer doe not cover damages that they cause. Eddie shattered a dining glass table January 31 and we have been denied replacement costs. The owner does not stand by his word or meet you at least halfway. He only communicates through his administrator Connie. I found him on Thumbtack and cannot recommend either at this point.

Superior in every way! It would be a true challenge to find a moving company to match the Professionalism, promptness, conscientiousness and fees that are provided by these movers! In six hours they emptied a 10x20 storage area, unwrapped all the furniture packing and assembled the parts, and never stopped for a break. Had to convince these fine men to stop for lunch! And then, the big surprise was that the charge for the move was below The estimate. One rarely sees that! I had to wait for them to move me as they were booked. Easy to understand why!

From my very 1st encounter over the phone with Mr. Crawford, until the job was complete, he exemplifed the utmost professionalism & personality that I give an A+! True to his word & professional! Some of the gentlemen/crew even arrived before Mr. Crawford with the company truck & were very personable & respectful. They all took extreme care & moved our home as if it was their own. VERY hardworking crew with NO laziness at all! I had an AMAZING experience with Tate the Great Moving services. I used them for packing and moving. I provided all of my packing materials and hired the staff for packing. They packed my materials with care and labeled all boxes appropriately. I then used them for moving from Acworth, GA to Atlanta, GA. The guys handled all of my items with great care and treated them like they were their own. They packed the truck very meticulously and ensured all of my items were safe during transport.

Before this move, I moved from North Carolina to Acworth, GA. The movers I used then damaged a lot of my items. Not only did Tate's crew take extra special care of my damaged items, they also made recommendations for how I could have them repaired and in some cases they made the small repairs for me. Dexter, Will, and Shaheed were GOD sent! I could not have asked for a better crew and I told Tate that I want the same three guys the next time I move. You will not be disappointed with this moving crew. They have an excellent spirit, and excellent leader, and they truly do LOVE what they do! Two thumbs WAY up!

Tate the Great was recommended to me by my realtor and they did not disappoint. We had a 1,000 pound safe that needed to be unloaded and put in our garage and they moved it carefully and did a wonderful job! They also unloaded the entire POD and made sure to take great care of all items when transporting them into to our house. They were professional, kind, and worked well together as a team. Will definitely hire them again in a heartbeat if we ever need to move again!

AWESOMENESS!!! I cannot say enough about Tate the Great Moving! I discovered at the end of last week that my move that was supposed to be scheduled for Monday had somehow been mysteriously dropped from the schedule of another moving company. I was desperate and in full on panic mode. I called Tate the Great and spoke with Mr. Crawford. He heard what was basically me at the end of my rope in my voice and he worked it out so that he could have a truck with a 4 man crew at my home first thing Monday morning.

I got a text the day before confirming my move and a call about 30 mins prior to the truck arriving. 4 guys (Carlton, Rafael, Maysoe, and Tobias) showed up as scheduled and did an amazing job with my move. They were very efficient and took great care with my things. Even Mr. Crawford made an appearance during my move. I was happy I got to be able to personally thank him for what he and his crew were able to do for me.

Wish I was better at finding words other than just THANK YOU to let them know how much I appreciate them going above and beyond to eliminate a lot of stress I have been under purchasing a new home and getting moved in.
