Avoid the spam company. I saw them originally on a Facebook Ad. I was potentially relocating for work and thought I'd see what an estimate might be. Their form implies they will email you a quote - they will not. They will email you to call them for a quote. I have been inundated with emails, calls, and texts ever since from dozens of moving companies. They sell your info and don't look back. I am drowning in spam now.

I decided to cancel the day after because of the pressure to put down an initial deposit. I wish I really hadn't talked to then at all because they force you to pay through Zelle, which can not be easily disputed by your bank. I thankfully have everything in writing, but have not been refunded for the initial down payment for about a month now. This is definitely a scam and I'll be suing soon. Update: I was able to get my money refunded, but only after an entire month and threatening to sue.

Whatever you do, do not give them your phone number! It says they will email you a quote if you fill out your info. I was looking for a general idea of what it would cost to move. Against my better judgement I gave them my phone number and verified it. I have received probably 20+ calls from all sorts of moving companies. I never got a "quote". I think they are lead generator for other businesses. The spam is unreal. Run!

I used their online website to get a quote. Guess what? you cannot get a quote online, as their website states that you can. They say a "representative" will call you. Guess what? NO ONE FROM Budget calls you, but 100's of other companies call you. Companies you've never heard of before. Not only moving companies, but insurance, and companies that you didn't need or want to talk with. Budget sells your information immediately and you can expect 10-20 calls within the first 10 minutes after giving your phone and email online. DON'T DO IT! Very unethical business. I will NEVER use Budget Van Lines.

One star is generous for this company. I would give it a negative if that's an option. Do not use them. They hire an actual moving and storage company, LD which is another company you need to avoid, to do the job. They make a lot of promises like be with you every step of the way of your move but they disappear as soon as they get your money. They're like a used car salesman, by the name of Selvin, who will pressure you to make a decision right away and take advantage of your stressful situation.

They gave me a quote of $7k for my move from San Diego to New Jersey that turned into $11k. There were hidden fees, charges and adjustments that were not explained. Sampel, the dispatcher was unreliable and a liar. Their customer service by the name of Ronald is a joke who never followed-up and just disappeared. It was a nightmare from the beginning. If you want to be lied to, aggravated, and pay be forced to pay double then go ahead use them. On top of that, I'm missing a box and a few of my belongings were broken. Moving forward, I'm looking at making a complaint to the better business bureau so this doesn't happen to anybody else
