Scanio Moving & Storage

We are Scanio Moving & Storage, a family-owned moving and storage company founded in New York City in 1941 by Frank Scanio. For more than eight decades, we have built our reputation on honest work, careful handling of client belongings, and unwavering reliability. In 1999, Nir Shuminer acquired the business, preserving the core values that defined our early years while integrating modern operational systems to improve service quality. In 2015, his son Idan joined the team, and we now operate as a true father-son leadership team dedicated to upholding our legacy. That family-focused commitment extends to every member of our team, many of whom have been with Scanio for decades, bringing unmatched industry experience to every job. We specialize in residential, commercial, long-distance, international, and storage solutions for clients across the New York City metro area and beyond. Our crews are trained to handle moves of all sizes, from small single-apartment relocations to full estate transfers, with meticulous attention to detail.

We prioritize transparent communication with every client, from the initial consultation through the final unpacking and placement of items. Every item we handle is treated with the same care we would give our own personal belongings, regardless of its value or sentimental significance. We hold all required New York State and federal moving licenses, and we carry full insurance to protect our clients property at every stage of the move. Our commitment to client satisfaction means we go above and beyond to resolve any issues that arise during a move, with no hidden fees or unexpected charges. We remain dedicated to the same principles that guided Frank Scanio when he founded the company: doing right by every customer, every time.
