My mission was to bring all the services of a master furrier under one roof to give our customers a complete experience. Furs by Demetrios is Maryland's finest furrier. We sell, store, clean, repair, and update fur garments; but custom-design creations are our specialty. If you don't find what you are looking for at our store, we will design it on paper, and have it finished in a few weeks.
Furs by Demetrios is owned by Louizos Demetrios. He is a master furrier, having apprenticed in New York and later opened his own shop in the fur district where he created custom furs for Valentino, Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein and Oscar de la Renta.

A design consultation is scheduled, measurements are taken, and a design is sketched. Next, pelts are hand-selected, a pattern is made to detailed measurements and the owners handcraft your fantasy. Nothing is more luxurious than having a fur made to your specifications. Our customer had a wool coat and wanted it in Swakara.

The process of "Cleaning & Glazing" keeps your fur looking and feeling good. The cleaning removes impurities and dust from the fur, guarding against insect infestation. Moisturizers are added to prevent the pelts from drying out. Glazing finishes the process and protects and keeps the guard hairs strong while giving them a beautiful luster.
