Please reach us at holler@allamericanstorage.com if you cannot find an answer to your question. Yes, the lock must be removed prior to your install. Please check the calendar so you can plan accordingly that your lock is removed. If the lock is not removed prior to the installation date of your new latch, we will be removing latches placing your lock inside of your unit.
