As much as I was looking forward to my move to city, I knew I had my work cut out for me. This wasn't my first move, quite the contrary, but it was my first move "by myself" so to speak. The day before Serenity movers scheduled, I was feeling overwhelmed sort of had a packing "meltdown". I texted my sister saying I was doomed, there was no way I was going to be ready for the movers in time.

My sister kindly reminded me that moving sucks and things would get better once the movers got there tomorrow. I took a breath and called Serenity Movers next because I had run out of boxes. In my trying-not-to-cry voice, I asked Maxwell at Serenity if the movers would boxes with them tomorrow. In his calm, reasonable voice, he told me the movers would have boxes and not to worry, that tomorrow would be fine.

And they both were right because things did get a lot better when Serenity movers arrived the next day. First, there was no judgement, they communicated with me the whole time, it was a team effort, they listened to me, they were accommodating, careful and efficient. Second, before I knew it, we were at my new place. It stated raining when we got there and I ran up to unlock new apartment.

I went back downstairs and saw that my big items had been brought into lobby and my other items, now covered, being quickly and carefully unloaded. Nothing got wet. Everything handled with care and protected. Serenity had been able to block off the street when the rain started (!) unloaded the truck and then unblocked the street so timely, no one had noticed.

Except my new Super who was super impressed. Lastly, the initial, agreed upon estimate is what you pay, no surprises (Maxwell therapy sessions included). The boxes Serenity helped me pack the day of the move were labeled clearly- unpacking is a cinch. I have a first edition book of Jim Morrison's The Lords and the New Creatures- it's rare and even though missing the dust jacket, very important to me.

I had it wrapped in a plastic bag in a brown paper bag to protect it and I remember the day of the move, before Serenity movers arrived, kicking it accidently and thinking to myself "that looks like garbage. Remember to pick it up". But I didn't remember to pick it up. So I start frantically opening boxes of books in my new place convinced it was thrown out (probably by me).

But it wasn't - it was safely packed with the other books in its "bag" wrap I made. I realized there were 100 things that could have gone wrong with this move. But nothing did. I breathed a sigh a relief and you will too if you choose Serenity Movers.

This company is a class act and Maxwell and his team was extraordinary in keeping our move in tact and seamless. From beginning to end, they were completely professional and made our move easy and stress free! Thanks Maxwell, Jesus and team!

Serenity Movers really made my move a seamless experience. Maxwell, the booking agent, was professional and responsive to all my questions and concerns. On the day of the move, the movers arrived within the expected window, and promptly packaged and delivered my items with care. The movers themselves were also very polite and responsive to my questions. None of my belongings were damaged in transit and I had a generally positive experience throughout. I highly recommend and would rebook Serenity Movers.

Very rarely am I impressed with a moving experience, but the entire crew at Serenity movers is polite, professional, and prompt! Everything from the quote, working with the landlord, and the actual move is performed smoothly. Even with extra items moved; the move was UNDER the quoted price. I will definitely be calling this crew up for my next move!

Me and my fiance booked with serenity movers almost a month in advance. However the moving truck was a hour & a half late to my location and did not alert us. Then when we got to our home they couldn't move my couch downstairs. I understand we have narrow stairs however I feel as if they were rushing to their next job and didn't try enough. But that's not even why I'm upset, when they were done we paid and tipped them I must add.

Later that evening my fiance noticed a big gash in our headboard (see pictures attached). This was a 2 month old bed with nothing wrong with it until them. Then at 3am we ended up on the floor because they didn't not screw in the bed correctly. So all the wood gave in under the bed and it broke my bed. I called and wrote emails to their insurance asking for them to replace my bed.

However their solution was 400$ when a new bed is going to cost me 1,142. I am very unsatisfied with them and I will NEVER use them or recommend them to anyone. I would recommend you not use them either.

I can't tell you how amazed I was by the professionalism and care this team has. I was pleased from the first time I spoke to Maxwell. He made me feel comfortable right away and felt like I knew him all my life. He answered all my questions and concerns and his team went above and beyond. They made sure the Job got done and we're so amazing. Don't look any further. This moving company is truly amazing from start to finish. Thank you so much Maxwell, you are heaven sent.

Very disorganized. They put packing tape on my wooden dining table, which I cannot remove because of the adhesive. Dissatisfied with the service. Would not recommend.

I can't imagine a better moving company. Last week was out third move with Serenity, and from my first call with Maxwell I felt I was in good hands. He was professional and thoughtful at the same time, making sure with follow up calls that our moves went well. The actual moving men were above and beyond experts. They were cheerful, efficient and helpful during all aspects of the actual move. I highly recommend Serenity Movers.

I contacted Serenity for an estimate for an upcoming move. Maxwell answered my call and walked me through the estimate by having me send photos and answer a series of questions about the specific items I had. I called multiple times with various questions and he was very helpful. I do wish someone would have come to do an estimate in person, but I was happy with how communicative Maxwell was and would have used their services if they had a sooner move date available.

Serenity Movers and Max are awesome. A little over a month ago, I reached out to them for a quote. Max responded and asked for a detailed inventory (with pics of items), and approximate date of move. In no time I had a reasonable quote and within a week, I finalized the move. Tim and his crew got to my apartment just a tad late (traffic, previous job), but they were fast, efficient and got me out of the Bronx and into my new apartment in New Rochelle in the allotted time frame. No tacked on fees, no drama, no missing and broken items. I highly recommend Serenity Movers.

Best moving company in NYC. I'd love to give more than five stars. This company made my move so effortless. Great job guys. The whole process was non problematic. Bringing the boxes over a few days prior to our move was very helpful. We picked the " pack your own" clothes shoes dishes option and they showed up moving day to take our larger furniture apart and wrapped it up securely. They reassembled it all in the new place. Two days later I'm already unpacked and settled. The whole moving day was not like any other move I've had. PERFECT!

We were referred to Serenity by our realtor. He assured us they were always professional and careful. We hired them for a local move within NYC. We purchased our first home in a co-op and even before the move started they were great. Maxwell was always quick to respond and very understanding when we had to move our date around a few times. The movers arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They finished ahead of schedule and everything arrived in the same condition it left in. Definitely will use again if I need movers in the future.

I encountered a lot of personal issues on my end, waiting for an apartment was a main concern. I kept a close communication with Maxwell and things went as best as I could have hope for, they were able to cover all the unexpected occurrences. I definitely recommend this company as they are able to handle any type of situation at a moment's notice, they were professional and efficient on their timing and also very conscious of my budget. Serenity Movers, and especially Maxwell who organized our move, are FANTASTIC. Our moving and packing needs were so irregular - 2 out of 3 roommates moving from an apartment, 2 out of 3 painters moving from a shared studio, weird art supplies that needed to be specially boxed. Maxwell took it all in stride and was totally response and kind throughout. The company is also super honest and wound up charging us less than they'd quoted us when things went more easily than anticipated. Highly recommend!

I LOVE MOVING says no one ever! I will say when you hire the right moving company it does make things a little more tolerable. My real estate agent recommended serenity movers to me saying they were great and familiar with doing moves into the building of our new address. I spoke to Maxwell who answers the phones and coordinates the moving date time and coi.

He was professional and very helpful. I sent him a quick video of my apt so I could get a quote and have boxes dropped off to my apt as we chose the "pack your own stuff" option. They do still dismantle your actual furniture and wrap it nicely as to not do any damage while moving. Pack your own stuff is the clothes shoes dishes kind of stuff. The moving team showed up on time and finished two hours early of our estimated moving time.

I almost didn't even feel the burden of moving bc they were so efficient in how they packed moved and unloaded. They were super clean, organized and wore masks for the covid regulations. Not one piece had a scratch or dent. Let me also add that I had mattress and a table/chair delivery from two additional companies and everything worked out well beyond my expectations. I'm moved a few times in my life and I can really say serenity movers is the best nyc moving company in NYC so definitely feel really comfortable hiring them. Mowaly, Harry, Jose and Alvaro are the names of my moving squad so request them.

Was wonderful! Max called me as soon as I filled out the inquiry form online. He was so helpful and easy to work with and got me by far the best quote in NYC/NJ area for moving a 1 bedroom apartment. Prior to moving he was extremely responsive to any emails or questions I had. Movers arrived on time, were extremely safe (amid COVID) and fast, finished before estimated time. Very happy with entire experience!

Our move was in the middle of the COVID pandemic and many uncertainties about the move were unresolved until the last minute, but Maxwell and his team were able to accommodate us in every way we needed. We LOVED Maxwell, the point person, who we dealt with to negotiate time/rates, etc. He was SO wonderful! Our team was on time, very efficient, kind and took good care of our stuff. Amazing service--start to finish. Max was professional, the bid was in the ballpark of other quotes I got, but he was able to accomodate a slightly complicated itinerary with no hassle. The crew led by Tony were efficient, careful, and nice, even though they were dealing with some raw, wet weather. The best move of my life!

Moving is a very stressful experience but these guys made it so simple & easy. The movers were quick, efficient, and professional. Nothing was broken or damaged. We hired Serenity Movers twice and I highly recommend them. Their prices are competitive and their service is fantastic. They were very professional, arrived on time, and provided very efficient service. Avi and his team were awesome.

We have a TON of stuff. We knew this was going to be a tough move. But they did the most fantastic, careful, caring and wonderful work. Max is absolutely wonderful and truly serene at a time when our instinct is to stress. It was such an excellent group of people who helped us move and the customer service could not be better. Hiring movers can be scary.

I felt completely at peace with them. They came on a cold snowy day and even had to make two trips but all was so so well done. No other company goes out of their way to do the things they did. Just really good humans and super hard workers.

This was the move from hell! Serenity movers did not unpack us as contracted to do; they left cartons and the goods they had unwrapped scattered indiscriminately all over the apartment; they damaged furniture, destroyed very expensive lampshade, broke silver coffee server, and much more. They were rude, aggressive and hostile. We have moved before. Moving is always difficult. But this was worse than even imaginable. I believe Serenity Movers should have their license revoked.

Working with Serenity Movers was the best experience I've had with movers by far. They were easy to contact and flexible with scheduling (even a week before my move date). I received a referral from a friend to use this service and received a discount on top of already very reasonable pricing (couldn't be beat). Moving is already a stressful process of estimating items and Serenity Movers was awesome to work with because they base pricing on time, not per item like most other movers in NYC. Movers were very friendly, respectful and on-time. I will only work with Serenity Movers from now on.

Serenity was recommended by a friend who had a positive experience so I was eager to have them handle my move of exactly one avenue. Max and Roni were so wonderful over the phone and I was certain I had made a good decision. However, when the three movers showed up I had a very different experience. First, the driver locked the keys in the car and he had to wait outside for 2 different locksmiths to come.

As the remaining two guys started moving some of our more delicate items like lamps, pictures and an expensive wooden bar, it was clear they didnt care about what happened to our possessions. A glass lampshade fell onto the street as it wasn't wrapped. A table lamp was punctured because it was simply thrown in a bin with other items. The bar was badly scratched- an $750, 50lb piece of furniture which was in mint condition. Boxes marked glass, do not stack were crushed and several glasses and corningware plates were cracked in pieces.

When I called to report my experience, I was unfortunately only compensated for the weight of the items ruined, which is only a small fraction of the actual value. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed and had to spend a good amount of money to replace those items which broke.

My mom passed away in January of this year. All I have left of her apart from the memories are her things. I needed to make sure that all her belongings were packed up and transported with care to a secure place until I could figure out what to do with them. I asked friends and family for recommendations on moving companies then I started researching them through Yelp.

What got my attention was another review for Serenity movers where they helped another person with their loved ones belongings. I read the other great reviews and gave them a call. To coin a phrase. Maxwell had me at "Hello" the man has a voice of silk and was gracious, kind and patient with all of my mumbling and scattered thoughts. I explained about my mother's belongings being in Manhattan and me living in Upstate NY and wanting to bring the items to a storage area near my home.

He simply said "Yes we will take care of it for you", and I believed him. They did cost more than some of the other places that quoted me, but when I got off of the phone with Maxwell I wasn't left with the feeling that this moving company would just throw my mom's stuff in the back of a truck and screech off hitting the brakes hard at every red stop light.

The movers were Teddy, Ricky and Jason and they took time and care to wrap, take apart, and boxed whatever needed to be protected. Teddy stayed in contact with me during the drive upstate and I knew where they were down to them driving up to the meeting spot. They had everything off the truck and tucked away in the storage unit before I could even finish the payment process. Thank you Maxwell, Thank you Teddy, Ricky and Jason for making this the best moving experience ever. If I ever need movers again I know I'll be calling Serenity Movers.

Have used Serenity for our last two moves! Love Max, makes you feel like moving is not stressful and easy. The move crew is professional, polite, and fast! And careful, set our things up with us as they moved them in. Cannot say enough - will never move without them again in this area. And, when the last move went quicker than the estimated time, they dropped the cost. Thanks Serenity!

These guys are WONDERFUL, I cannot recommend their moving services enough. I was moving from Manhattan (2 floor walk up!) to Brooklyn and on the day of the move they were right on time, made sure I had everything nicely packed and worked FAST! They really know their job, were super careful (and reassuring, which I appreciated) with my things, and did everything with care and dedication.

Once in Brooklyn, they made sure to put everything where I requested and even helped me decide a couple of times! They made my move truly SERENE and I am forever grateful to them for it :)

I can honestly say that I have zero complaints about my move with Serenity Movers. I had a morning appointment and not only where they on time, they were early. It took them an hour over what was estimated, but this was mainly due to the fact that my roommate and I were not fully packed (we had a lot of small boxes and soft bags that needed to be combined) and the guys spent extra time putting things in boxes.

Most importantly, we had a lot of breakable items and delicate furniture and the team wrapped everything and moved it with diligence and ease. Max, the person who I booked through, was very attentive. He called to confirm the move the night before and followed up afterwards to see how it went. Would definitely recommend!
