I was just there this morning to move my things into storage. While moving, another person who owns a boat pulled up. Apparently, my movers' moving truck was parked in their boat parking spot. The people who needed to park the boat asked how much longer, my movers said 10 minutes. Next thing you know, an employee who appeared to be the business manager - came running towards my movers and he proceeded to shout at my movers to move their truck.

I then proceeded to advise there should be a sign or something indicating that is someone's parking spot. Which clearly is a valid point. Because, nobody should have to deal with what we dealt with today, not people moving in and definitely not people who want to use their parking spot. Moving is stressful in itself. To have to deal with little nuances like we did today is more stress on top of it all!

A shouting storage facility manager who then proceeded to tell me, "if you don't like the way I do business then leave lady!" That was his response to me suggesting a sign be placed to indicate that is a taken parking spot. Then, the guy who was parking his boat in his ALSO started an argument with me asking me, "what's your problem". Not even processing that I was on his side.

Not even registering that I had a valid point. Not even realizing or having the thought "damn, this person is probably really stressed from moving all weekend". Nothing. Just a harsh and rude remark, "what's your problem". People are such a$$holes these days. THIS is why I moved out of Valencia. The arrogant entitlement mentality of the people without the capacity to think critically and with compassion - who destroy the well-being of others without a care. Now, this all could've been avoided WITH A SIGN!

I was treated very respectfully; even though I didn't rent a storage spot from this place, their customer service went above and beyond. I always appreciate businesses more when they treat the customer with respect--worth going out of your way to see for your storage needs.

I would like to start by saying they have great staff Bryan is very nice and helpful. good deals, clean and safe place.

Collene was amazing! I was going through a personal issue and she made it seamless. She was professional, understanding and extremely compassionate. She made it very easy for me to handle my issue. Aaron was very helpful with showing me my unit and walking me through the process of getting in and out. Thank you Collene and Aaron for your amazing service!

Our experience with Golden State has always been positive. We truly appreciate the team that manages/owns the facility. They are friendly and accommodating.

As a first time storage renter, I wasn't sure what to expect or even really know much about storage. I'm very happy I chose Golden State Storage! The gentleman that assisted me ( I believe his name was Art) was very helpful and went over everything with me. I liked that there is extra dollys on site to assist in moving items. I appreciated the free lock as I did not have one. I look forward and have no worries of storing my items here!

Loved this place. We made at appointment and came in Saturday. They have the cheapest rates in town and the lady at the front desk is super nice and helpful. She even gave us a free lock. Highly recommend for their rates and service.

Very happy I found this storage facility. Since my first call for questions regarding the rates, the customer service has been exceptional. Went in to get a unit and again the customer service was perfect. Everything was explained to me in a very detailed, professional manner. The employees are very friendly here and make you feel very comfortable. The facility is very nice and clean. I'm looking forward to continuing my storage needs here.

I've been a customer for a few years now. The hours aren't too convenient but I've always been happy with the location & customer service. Not happy to hear the facility will be closing down for construction.

Exceptional customer service from your newest employee Ulysses. He goes above and beyond for customers and for the Santa Fe Springs facility. I have always received great customer service from Wyman and Cindy, too. Just wanted to make sure you know that Ulysses is a great asset to your business.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Only needed short term rental. Process was easy and they accommodated me for a next day rental.

Aaron is the best! Very courteous, helpful and just great personality. The storage unit is very clean. I'm pleased with the ease of securing the unit.

We came to Golden State Storage because they had great reviews. At 12 noon the office was closed but I was on the phone with a company representative. My husband and I were standing in front of the office when a man (50's) pulled up in a blue Intiniti G35 (old) and yelled, "What are you doing here!?". I told him we needed to rent a storage unit.

He told me, "Didn't you read the sign on the door, It says closed" When I turned to look at the door he yelled "Get out of here!" and said they don't rent storage units to "Karen's" anyway. LOL. He then drove into the complex at a high rate of speed, revving his engine and screeching his tires like a teenager.

The people in the front office are great. They're helpful and knowledgeable. If you need to keep something, this is the place.

Aaron is "THE BEST "! He is accomodating, patiently explaining to me everything that I need to know regarding renting a storage, the facility is clean and security camera is all over for safety purposes! In addition, Aaron gave me a blockbuster deal for the monthly payment! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I never thought I'd be writing a yelp review for a storage unit. What an easy sign up process, Covid safe and friendly staff. Can't forget to mention, how clean it was! Happy to have found Golden State Storage.

Golden State Storage was absolutely incredible. We were running late on our move and weren't going to make it to the storage facility before they closed. It was a Friday evening and if we didn't unload, we would have had to pay for the truck an additional day. They told us, don't worry, we'll wait for you! Very clean, safe facility as well. High touch customer service. I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful facility.

Needed December storage for a few bikes from Santa - rates were reasonable and staff very helpful. Reminded me about Yelp discounts for a free lock etc. Site is maintained and very clean. Would definitely return in the future for storage needs!

Terrible Service. As I was securing my load and getting ready to leave some lady came up in her pickup truck and started to yell we're closed. I said Ok I'm just finishing up and kept driving closer to my truck and yelling we're closed. Then began too ask if I was moving out and what I was leaving in my storage shed and what was I taking.

We've rented a unit from Golden State for 9 years. We've always been very satisfied. However, lately we've been especially impressed and grateful for their awesome customer service. We recently sold our home and have to wait to move into our new home. We needed to rent another, larger unit and were given a great rate. When we realized we might need to rent a third, Wyman actually encouraged us to try and squeeze more into our existing units.

We tried, but ended up needing a 3rd unit after all. Again, we got a great rate. I can't say enough about how professional, courteous and accommodating both Wyman and Cindy have been over the years.

Such amazing customer service, I literally couldn't believe it. The woman, Gina, is a sheer delight. And you cannot beat the prices or the service. If you check in while you're there you get a free lock. They also give you a free keychain for the keys that go with the lock. Literally the only place I will ever store my stuff. They are very committed to you and your savings. It's incredible.

Aaron and Colleen were amazing. I have never needed to use self storage in the past, but we needed short term storage in between a move situation where we could not move into our new home for a month. After looking for a storage facility for a few weeks I came across Golden State Storage. Great facility and management team! Brian Hills made my moving experience so easy and pleasant. His service was exceptional; in addition the facility is clean and secure.

I found the facility clean, well secured and most of all the staff very courteous and friendly. I was kind of sad to close out. Should the need arise in the future, I would definitely return to store my things again.

Peggy was very helpful in assisting with storage information. The move was easy and location is close to my job. The property is clean, very impressed with the cleanliness of the unit and property.
