If i could give 0 stars I would. Since switching management, This company has not answered the phones or fixed online payment issues. I have sent emails and called for months and have gotten nothing back in return. I do not live in Houston so it is not easy for me to go to the facility to update things such as payment. And then on top of that they want to tack on extra fees for not receiving the payment when I have tried to submit online, over the phone through the automated system and through an employee, which none of them work because no one answers the phone.

I'd leave 0 stars if I could. I just went by there to get a new unit because I read great reviews and the place looked nice. I was hurrying there as soon as I could get off work to get a new unit before the Thanksgiving holiday. I arrived at 5:33 pm and the employee told me he would not be able to sell me a unit because they stop showing at 5:30.because it takes too long to show a unit and he needed to close up (they were not supposed to close until 6).
I looked at my phone and it said 5:33 and he continued to tell me why he couldn't show me a unit. Clearly he just did not want to do the work or want my business. I wish I had gotten his name but he was an older man with a beard. I will not be back.

When this location opened, I was one of their first clients. At that time, I needed two units. I have only one unit now, but cannot say anything less than helpful and efficient about the on-site managers that have moved in and off the location. I particularly appreciate the cleanliness and the covered parking that is also kept clean. No trash at any time.

Eric & Jackie Lipinski were both absolute delights to work with. I only needed the space for a short time and they worked to find me the correct size unit with the most convenient access in and out to accommodate my short timeline. You cannot go wrong with this location and level of customer service. Would gladly use them again in the future if ever needed.

Our kids moved to Houston out of college over a year ago and we needed a place to store some of their things. This Proguard location was perfect, we called them and set up was easy. When we arrived, paperwork was done in a timely manner, paid electronically monthly and never had a problem or worry. When we needed to down size to a smaller unit, it was an easy process as well.
We recently moved out of the unit because it was no longer needed. Move out was simple and efficient. Roger and Arlene are very organized, professional, courteous and provide a quality service. I highly recommend this storage location because of the service Roger and Arlene provide.

Absolutely amazing experience here! Jackie and Eric are wonderful to deal with. Very nice security features, including cameras everywhere, coded elevators and doors, mover codes (so you dont have to give out your own), and 24 hour support from office as they stay on site. This will be my choice for storage for a long time.

After hearing some horror stories about some other companies, I had to go with Proguard. The location was perfect and the property itself was beyond clean. I didn't have to worry about bugs or security concerns, everything was perfect. The price is certainly a tad bit higher than other places but completely worth it, at least to me. Dealt with two people from the office, one at opening and one at closing and both were beyond friendly and helpful. Thanks for making it a great experience!

Super easy sign up process and even easier move out. Roger and Arlene are well organized, I setup my unit, moved my things in and paid electronically every month. No issues at all. There are multiple sized units and it is a well secured and climate controlled facility. Not only did I feel confident in the security of the items I stored here, but I felt secure while coming and going in the facility as well. Facility is kept super clean and I had my house items in storage for almost a year and everything I moved out was in the exact shape it was in, when I moved them in.

The good: - one of the three storage facilities on my short list and seems - the staff - location - cleanliness of the units - cleanliness of the facility - the security and overall feel of the facility - shaded parking! The not so good: - unfortunately, they weren't as competitive from a cost standpoint to similar facilities along washington avenue (life storage and community storage)

Arlene and Roger are extremely friendly and very helpful. Their facility is always kept very clean and temperature controlled. Simple and quick to rent a storage space as well as moving out of the unit. Process from beginning to end of your unit lease was flawless. I would absolutely recommend this pristine compound and friendly owners if your looking for a storage unit.

First time using a storage facility but I can recommend this location without reservation. Arlene was particularly helpful and provided excellent support and advice. Unfortunately, this was the move where I got to earn my "let me tell you a horrible moving story, " experience but the Proguard part of the move was a true pleasure.

Convenient location and the managers are very nice. They got me set up quickly and easily and my storage unit was reasonably priced. The main facility is very nice and clean, and their secondary facility (outdoor storage across the street) is ample as well. On top of reasonable prices for their units, even the soda machine is only a dollar! I definitely recommend.

Just tried to reserve a unit with Proguard. They called and said, we can't hold this for you unless you can come in today or tomorrow. It was a Wednesday and they couldn't hold it until Saturday for me, even though I booked through their website, which claimed: This one is reserved for you for 30 days! Wow, great way to make me want to sign with you. What a rude way to treat potential customers.

2013: The storage unit itself is very nice with pretty good amenities. Gives you a secure lock, nice loading area with dollies for carrying your belongings to your unit. Over all, pretty nice. My only complaint is the management. From day 1 and since, I don't think I've meet a more sour person. Has not been pleasant to deal with at all. 2015: New management has made a huge difference in dealing with this place.

I just moved into my storage space at proguard and love it! The moving process can be terrible as it is, but the staff and facility are amazingly helpful and the rates are as good as any I found elsewhere in the area. Overall, just super pleased with my experience here, especially after using a larger chain's facility that were not climate controlled and had pretty relaxed security and cleanliness standards.
