It all began over 85 years ago when Earle W. Noyes Sr. began hauling trunks in his used REO Speedwagon from Portland's Union Station to homes and summer cottages in southern Maine. By 1947, Earle's company had grown to include his son, Lester. Lester's son Peter joined the company in 1977 and became President in 1987.

Location is easily accessible (although the short road to it is bumpy with cobblestones). A flag flies outside to signal when they are open. Unloading or loading vehicles is also easy. Building is well heated and lit. Many size options for storage units. Costs are reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful (and leaves you alone if you don't need help).

I would give them a zero if I could! I stored my stuff with them a few years ago during and move and they were great but this business has gone seriously downhill. They have a ridiculous reservation policy (if you could call it a policy, I'm still not clear on what it is since they told me multiple different things) that is not flexible if you are planning a move. I wanted to support a local business and go back to vendor I had previously worked with, but no way am I ever trying to work with these people again! Consumer be warned!
