The management staff of their properties and they rude and their property in Knoxville Tn has the worst property manager I have ever had to deal with in my life. When I called corporate to ask for help with the situation regarding the rudeness of the property manager in Knoxville, I was basically blown off and excuses were made! DO not let your students rent from Muinzer properties because when you have lived with them for 4 years they will still do absolutely nothing for you in let their management treat you terribly

Purdue apartments feel worn out and overpriced but i guess that is a question to Purdue residence and not Muinzer. The office is efficient and responsive, maintenance problems were resolved the day they are assigned. The property on Waldron however is dirty, rust all over the places and dust in unreachable areas. I am allergic to dust and have to constantly be on antihistamines just to live here.

Gives good response to concerns about property and provides affordable rent. Furniture provided by apartment was good also. Shared laundry room took some getting used to especially since machines would eat quarters when full and would sometimes not dry fully.

Overall, I've had some complaints but I would definitely recommend Muinzer. My lease started in June and that's when I moved in. The unit had not been cleaned beyond the carpets (cobwebs, dirty microwave, hair on bathroom walls, etc) and had some major maintenance issues with the sinks and under-sink cabinets. This was disappointing, but Muinzer responded quickly to complaints and genuinely wanted to apologize and resolve any issues. They sent someone to clean and had maintenance in and out for about a week to replace drains, faucets, doorstops, and the toilet seat. Maintenance was friendly and helpful.

I have had a very good experience living in a Muinzer apartment. Maintenance was on time and well done. The only problem I ever had was that the water heater was broken when I first moved in, but that was quickly fixed after reporting it. Great Job!

I really enjoy living at a Muinzer property for the year and the place was very clean. The staff and maintenance are always nice and fast at getting back to you!

Overall, I enjoyed living here. I did not get along with my roommates but everything about the apartment was nice. During my stay here I have had a lot of maintenance issues; however, maintenance has been the absolute best and are very quick to resolving the problem.

Muinzer properties are some of the best value you'll find on/near campus. Everything is handled efficiently and easily, and I was impressed by the clear communication and good service. Would recommend!

Village West was incredible because it was independently managed before Muinzer bought it out (and so this review is not for them). However, I lived at 422 Vine St the year before, and Muinzer charged my roommates and I ridiculous fees for things our apartment didn't even have. We were charged a carpet cleaning fee even though the carpet was replaced and advertised as new as soon as we left.

My roommate and I emailed management constantly asking for "proof" of hiring cleaning people and for rationale how our damages/cleaning was beyond "normal wear and tear, " and they kept passing us around in an email chain without ever addressing our concerns. They definitely take advantage of students from far away who are not willing to sue in small claims court to regain as much of our security deposits as possible. Know your rights. Document everything (which we did), and I highly recommend going to any other management company.

Don't lease with them. They've just been buying up properties and increasing rent significantly without even making any updates or renovations. I speak for myself and others. The quality of the units is not worth the prices they ask for.

After switching management mid lease from Cochran, who was amazing, over to them we had trouble getting maintenance requests in. I requested our air conditioning to be fixed on the 22nd of March and today is July 13th and we still have yet to see anything fixed. All through finals week, which is the toughest week for students, we could hardly come back to our own apartment.

I followed up FIVE TIMES about our request on the 16th, 17th 25th of April and the 3rd and 7th of May. Just followed up for a 6th time today. Update: Jay, the general manager, gave me a call directly on the 13th and got someone right on making right of the situation. Jay had someone come in on their weekend off and go out to buy a brand new window unit air conditioner and installed it within a few hours.

I updated the review to 2 stars for the quick fix but left it at 2 due to the lack of communication between what was going on and how they reason they couldn't fix it was due to a part being on back order for the last few months.
