These guys spam blog posts with fake comments just to sneak in their URL. Seriously, any business that relies on dishonest, shady behavior shouldn't be in business.

I HATE moving, but I'm an adventurist at heart so I've moved 5 times in the past 4 yrs. A year ago I moved back from Costa Rica(shipped all my furniture) and needed to find a moving co. asap because the shipping co. was much quicker than they had expected. So my cargo was waiting to be picked up in LAX before I had even left Costa Rica. You can only keep your cargo in the holding department for 3 days before they start charging you insanely high fees. Needless to say I needed to act quick.

I used La Pro Movers. They had decent reviews and I was on a time crunch. The day I arrived in LA, I was out of my mind because I was sent on a goose chase trying to get all the proper credentials to be able to get my sh*t released out of customs. thankfully the movers were pretty chill about giving me a good deal and not charging me for wasting their time while I was still figuring things out w customs.

They were quick and efficient, however they told me they normally charge a lot for everything. wrapping, stairs, (etc.) I was surprised because on their website it did not mention any of this and is major BS in my opinion. I was thankful that all my crap had been superman wrapped before being shipped to the US. SO just a heads up that this company has a lot of hidden fees.

I normally give myself a mini panic attack before moving and wish I had advice on who to choose, and who not to. I really rely on these reviews. I just moved yesterday(yes, again) but this time I used movers that were highly recommended. They are a small referral business called Artist Movers. They were a little bit late but traffic was bad for them because they were coming to me in Santa Monica from Sherman Oaks. and if you're in LA county you know the 405 is a real bitch in the AM. Sean and James moved me.

They were pretty quick, efficient and super nice guys. They are a little spendy but I think spending a little bit more money on quality movers is better than having to replace all your belongings.

I booked 3 weeks in advance, paid a deposit, and they NEVER SHOWED UP. They did not answer my calls, never got back to us about rescheduling, never apologized. That was 2 weeks ago and they still have not credited me the deposit. They put us through total HELL--AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
