Most unprofessional, unreliable, untrustworthy and horrendous set of people to do business with. A true bunch of scam artists you need to stay away from. You're better off just taking all your belongings and dumping them into the Atlantic ocean. 1 star? Really these guys don't even deserve a tenth of a star. When making the sale and convincing us to do business, they came across as real stand up guys.

The minute the sale was made, it was like dealing with the Italian Mafia. The sales agent who convinced us - Wayne Townsend - vanished entirely - has not received a single call since then. Then the logsitics team kept sending us bills upward of $150 in addition to the $2500 they already collected without any justification. The shipment which was promised to be shipped out in March, sailed 3 months later. Finally, when it did arrive, it was missing a large number of items.

Time and again we requested an inventory check which was promised at the time of sale but never wad this provided. Steve on the logistics team kept brushing off all concerns and was very hard to get a hold of. Over those months, I called NY Shipping more than anyone else in my phone book with very limited luck. This entire experience has left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth and I do truly hope that thugs do not manage to deceive anyone again. The good news from all of this is I have learned "NEVER AGAIN" am I going to do business with these crooks.

Great movers who know what they're doing and quick to pack. If you're moving short distance, I'm sure they would be efficient. However. if you're moving abroad and decide to go with NY International Shipping, be prepared to wait 3x their estimated arrival time and pay unexpected extra costs. I moved to London from NY in May and was given an 8-12 weeks ETA.

I was also told that there is a vessel leaving within the month and there would be maximum $50 extra cost at the border. We're currently on week 10, no estimate on when my furniture will arrive andd in addition to all this uncertainty which definitely wasn't disclosed at onboarding, they recently asked for more money. In their own words, "we're at mercy of vessel lines along with port congestions, equipment and driver shortage" and "sailing dates are fluid and change often". Soooo if you're looking to secure a fast and reliable long distance move, you're better off going with a company who can give you an honest estimate BEFORE picking up your furniture and not after you move cities. Echo every one-star review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are not only unprofessional and unreliable, they are predatory. They are bad people who are disorganized (not what you want from a moving company) and take advantage of you whenever they can. We hired them for an international move from NY to Australia and they were IMPOSSIBLE to work with - never answered their phones - took days of calling and begging them to get back to us with ANY detail. Movers showed up five hours late to pack with no apology.

We called and called and emailed when they didn't show up, no answer. Finally they called back hours later and then were once more late for the new time! When we asked David for an explanation or an apology and told him it was incredibly unprofessional, he refused to apologize and told us they "probably just stopped for some food." Are you kidding me? Is this how you run a company?

We hated every second of working with them. It was a nightmare. It took weeks just to get an estimate - then it took weeks, literally weeks for them to give us a final cost, which was $2000 above the estimate even though we had exactly the amount of boxes they gave us the estimate for. They only told us the final cost weeks after they had already taken our stuff and they'd already charged us for some random high amount, so we had no choice but to pay.

They were completely dishonest and unclear about the costs. They wouldn't even tell us if they charged by box or by weight. There were all these extra charges like a "rescheduling fee" when we never rescheduled anything. Every single thing we needed from them, every form, every piece of information, we had to pull teeth to get. This company is truly awful.

They lied to our faces about when the shipment would arrive and didn't see fit to mention the original flight has been canceled until we inquired. I was losing my mind. Originally told us air shipping would be 4 weeks. Turned out to be more than double that. We were expecting to have our things soon after arriving - instead we had to wait six weeks.

I waited until we got our shipment in Australia before posting a review because I was honestly terrified that we would never ever see our things again. Also due to poor packaging several valuable ceramic items were broken, and we're still trying to get the insurance reimbursement from them. Don't trust the google reviews - look up reviews of this company on other sites and you will see that they have consistently awful reviews. DO. NOT. USE. THIS. COMPANY.

If I could give negative stars- I totally would! This moving company is a complete SCAM and the owners David Mafazi and Duane Townsend are complete scam artists. We used their storage services and paid them on time every month for 3 years. After 3 years when it came time to take out our stuff from storage- they STOLE a very expensive TV set and misplaced a container into another storage unit that was kept in hiding from us (thinking we wont realize our belongings were not there).

When it came time to ask where our stolen tv went they had no solutions and kept trying to go around in circles and hide the fact that it was their mistake for loosing 1 container and stealing our TV. They also changed accountants numerous times and mis-charged us in the books and blamed us for it when it was their fault for being totally dis-organized! Avoid yourself the trouble and stress and do not work with this FRAUDULENT company! If anyone can report this company please do because they are scamming people.

We moved few months ago from NYC to Israel. After a long research, I came across NY International Shipping. I spoke with David, which was very professional, full of knowledge and accommodating from the first minute. In such stressful situation, he was on top of everything and made assure that the whole process will go smoothly, The guys arrived on time in both locations and we received everything on time and in great condition, nothing was broken / missing, no hidden fees or extra charges. This company is the worst experience I ever had with any company. I wanted to ship my items from NY to London and at the beginning they were quite responsive until I signed the contract and they got my dreid card info and then they never answered my calls or emails for a couple of days. Until I realized that they had charged my card and I file a dispute and sent an email to them and said that I don't want their service anymore.

And then suddenly all their staff started calling me! However, I didn't use thri service and they never did anything to me excpet they got my account info and after that they charged my card for NO ANY SERVICE! I still have a dispute with them! BE careful and do not use them!

We had a horrible experience with them. Our shipment to France took twice as long as they had predicted. The people they work with in Europe are awful. Not responsive and outright rude. After our shipment finally cleared customs it took another month for it to be delivered. When we inspected our things close to 50% of the content was actually broken. Things were handled so roughly that a table was broken in pieces, metal frames of our chairs were bent and most of the glasses we shipped were crushed. Hard to imagine how one could treat things so roughly. Most of these items were packed by their shippers too. I would never use these people again

I was given a quote for my move from NYC to Toronto. I was told that I should receive my stuff 7-10 days after packing was completed in NYC. It took 3 weeks for me to get delivery due to delays caused by NY International Shipping. In addition I received a bill for additional charges increasing the final bill by almost 50% vs the original quote. In NYC the movers packed my stuff and disassembled my furniture.

I was told I would be unpacked in Toronto and that the movers there would assemble my furniture. To my surprise I was told by the moving company in Toronto that NY International Shipping told them I did not pay for this service (even though it was in the agreement) and that if I wanted them to assemble my furniture there would be additional charges.

This all took place during the holidays so my holidays were ruined. Throughout the experience NY International Shipping provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They rarely answered the phones, responded to voicemails or emails. I've moved many times and this was the worst experience I have ever had. Avoid NY International Shipping.

Stay away from this company total lack of professionalism, when things go bad like our shipment that was "lost" for several months nobody, not even the "director" of the company responds to your emails, calls and close down all lines of communication. My original post is no longer showing, so here I am writing it again as a social service for people that may need international shipping from New York to London as we did.

Use other company that is recommended by a reliable person. We chosen this one because it gave us the lowest estimated and we had regretted deeply. Our goods arrived "8" months, yes eight months later with several items damaged and no compensation from this unprofessional company.

I hired NY Shipping (NY Moving Group) and was highly disappointed. My stuff was picked up in September from NY with delivery date of middle of November to middle east, however I didn't get my stuff until February. Company gave me invoice and asked me to pay $3,000 in September but they asked me $2,500 more in November (yes, they kept the stuff in their warehouse and told me it is already shipped).

Reason for this hike was estimator provided incorrect invoice. NOT MY PROBLEM. FIRE THE ESTIMATOR. After hundreds of phone calls (which nobody picks up or returns phone call after two days) and emails, I paid $2,500 assuming I will get my stuff soon. After 8 weeks, I got a call from local movers that my stuff is here but destination fee is not paid and asked me to pay more $1,500 if I want this to get delivered. $5,500 I paid to NY Moving Group was supposed to cover this. NY Shipping didn't reply to my 5 emails on why local company if charging when I already paid to you.

Local firm said it wasn't. I paid $1,500 to get my stuff delivered. However, my sofa came without parts and now not usable. I will have to buy a new sofa. They messed up this as well. Entire process took around 5 months instead of 6 weeks they promised. This company is a SCAM and if you still hire them for your job, be ready to experience unprofessional service and more than double the money that they originally asked in first invoice. Wayne and Isaac would lie at your face and David (the owner) would sweet talk you into paying more if you want your stuff delivered. I am going to complain to Customer Dept as well. DO NOT HIRE THESE SCAMMERS!

David and Wayne were extremely helpful and diligent through out the process. Due to work circumstances I had to move to London to NYC on a tight time-frame. Their partners in the U.K. that delivered my items were top notch as well.

If I could I would give negative stars! F**king worst moving company. All they do is offer "apologies" but no solutions. I was told my things would arrive between 7-8 weeks and it is taking double the time if not more! We'll see when I actually get my stuff! I was told that my things were ready to ship and I had to pay asap over a month and a half ago and my things still have not shipped!

I send emails that don't get answered for days and only when I call and leave a message do I get another "apology" email. They just cheat people out of their money. Stay away from this company! They're the most dishonorable company I've ever dealt with.

By far the most dishonorable people my items that are now 2 months late arrived without the crates I paid for leaving me with damaged and destroyed antiques and valuables. They only contact you when they want money. When you ask them direct questions they side step and ignore. DONT DONT USE THIS SERVICE! Do anything but not use them

I'd give negative star to this company - too bad, Yelp doesn't have negative star. This company is a total scam and their owner/employees are shady, unethical, and criminals committing fraudulent activities using online wire transfer and Craiglist - how do I know? Well I was the victim via the transaction with this company on September 10, 2018.

Never ever use them, pls - I want to save any potential victims and you don't want to become one of naive sheep killed by these evil fox - NY International Shipping company. You will regret and will become a financial/emotional victim. If not $$, you'll lose your valuable stuff and they don't give a thing to you and for you. This is flat out crime and fraud - intentionally manipulating for incentive and collude with other online account holders.

I guess their business is so bad that their owner/employees are committing a crime like this to pay for their rent/food. They committed a fraudulent activity and still in business. Unbelievable. By the way, they are not located in Jersey City. They are located in 111 John Street #610, New York, NY - another lie. Shaddy.

This is the first time I am doing a review because I truly want to help other people to avoid the hassle we had. I regret to have chosen NY International Shipping. They never replied to our emails, gave misleading information, were very rude and extremely difficult to deal with, refused to book the moving date ahead and claimed to be fully booked when finally accepted to book the date which delayed in 1 week the delivery of our cargo, overcharged and never provided supporting documentation for the charges!

I am currently experiencing an absolutely horrific situation with Ny Moving Group, and it does not seem I am the first. I wish I would have read more reviews before entrusting them with my life's belongings. The customer service has been extremely poor, and it seems they have 'accounting' issues with their subcontractors, which essentially means they are not paying!

At this point in time my possessions are being held, and I fear I will be forced to bring in a third party to release them. You've been warned, please seek out another service to fulfil any moving needs to spare yourself months of emotional turmoil.

At the very end of my rope with this extremely unprofessional company. My possessions have finally arrived at their destination after 9 weeks (when I was told 4-6), and are now being held from me by the subcontractor as Ny Moving is having 'Accounting' issues. Which essentially means they are not paying their subcontractors, with the money YOU entrusted them to do so with.

At this point in time I feel I am going to have to pull in a third party (which it seems other people have had to do) to get ahold of my life's belongings. I'm feeling betrayed, lied to, ignored, and most of all scammed. Please save yourself from this extremely painful and stressful experience.

I used this company for international relocation from Ohio to the UK. Pros Excellent communication - frequent emails, replies, phone calls, updates. Price - extremely competitive, main reason for choosing this company. Cheap insurance - speaks for itself Efficient packers/movers - arrived when organized, very fast. Cons Packers were too quick - they did not allow us to complete insurance/inventory list Broke an antique desk Lost one box out of 70 (not bad, but not 100%) Overall, I probably wouldn't use this company again. Essentially all people want from your company is for their stuff to be taken from Point A to Point B without being lost or broken. For that you have failed me.

They were very nice and informative after they picked up my things in NY.They promised me my things would arrive in London the 1st week of August. I contacted them several days in a row, sending emails back and forth for weeks and they told me nothing. So I contacted Eurogroup whom sent me an email prior saying they would be completing delivery on 8/21.but they never did.

I called and emailed Eurogroup who then said I might have a balance and my shipment couldnt be delivered yet which was untrue because I had paid in full. My fiance got so frustrated with the back and forth emails that he went to Eurogroup offices directly and spoke to manager who told him that NY Shipping owes his company money and thats why they were holding my items.

Well after getting this information my fiance followed up with an email with out lawyers name and let Eurogroup know he would be contacting the BBB or a similar company they have over there. They met on Monday my items were delivered by the following Sunday. Im currently in the process of filing my report with BBB for NY Shippings horrible customer service experience and lack of information and broken agreements. Picked up shipment June 5th to London arrived 8/12 and cleared. Not released until 9/15 after countless emails and in person visit. Also! They post numerous fake reviews and create profiles on facebook! Use at your own risk!

Would not recommend using this moving group. My items were picked up on May 31st, and I still don't have them three months later. Worst of all, communication with the logistics team has been pretty much non existent - except when I email multiple times or they wanted me to pay. I was told my items would take ~6-8 to ship, depending on customs clearance.

My items "did not fit" in the shipment they were scheduled to depart on, so ended up leaving the states mid/late July. I got a notice that my boxes arrived in the UK at the start of August, but now have been selected for extra review. I have all Customs approval paperwork, so I was surprised. I realize this last snafu is largely out of their control, but I have had zero comms since August 10th. * Update 20 days later: Items are now "held" for release, but I can't get anyone at NY Moving Group on the phone to clear up the communications. I keep getting emails that my issues are being "escalated" to the owner, but the owner is non-responsive.

**REVIEW UPDATE** (still no solution) Hands down the absolute worst moving company you will ever use. My husband and I used them to move us from Philly to NYC, just a 1 bedroom apartment. Upon arrival the complaints from the foreman started pouring out. Brought the wrong truck, our stuff might not fit. He must not have checked the contract that I had in my hand (which he gave me to sign) which detailed all of our belongings.

This was very enjoyable to hear first thing in the morning moving day, pouring rain in a time crunch -_- They proceeded to badly damage the apartment while wrapping and removing our furniture. Banging furniture into the Sheetrock making dents and holes. Then, they dragged our metal trunk coffee table across the hardwood floors creating a deep scratch about 6 feet long and 1/4 inch deep!

I attached some pics for reference. Of course we freaked out as we really wanted to get our security deposit back ($3,000 of our money we have yet to see because of the poor customer service of NY Moving Group). The "boss" rushed out from Cherry Hill to assess the damage. Our apartment was completely bare and he asked us over and over again if we had "anything to buff it out".

No sir, there's nothing in this apt besides this gigantic scratch! We notified our landlord immediately to tell him. We were in a time crunch since we had to get up to NYC before 5 when the service elevator was closing. Fortunately they didn't damage our new apartment. 2 months from our moving day we are still in an ongoing battle for this moving company to take responsibility and for their insurance to cover the cost of fixing the floor that their workers damaged, $5,000, which our landlord now is asking us to pay. Getting ANYONE to answer the phone or an email regarding our problem has been like pulling teeth.

My husband has called the insurance company multiple times, he was hung up on when he asked them "when will you reach out to my landlord to start processing this claim" click, hung up. Very reassuring. Moving is stressful enough! Unless you want to deal with months of arguing over terrible careless damage I suggest using a different company that can help make your day stress free and seamless. After all when you're paying someone at least $2,000 (plus tips) to move your belongings you expect some respect and customer service to come in the package.

Beware so unprofessional we send 10 boxes from ny to Italy in march and today in may. We didn't still have our stuff. just now we got the call from them about 7 boxes went lost. people beware!

I do not recommend this company at all, I had a lot of problems with them. When I first asked, they told me that my one-bedroom furniture would take 5 weeks from the Us to the UK, but only after I payed a 1k deposit they updated that estimate to 8-10 weeks. But even that was not nearly close. In the end it took more than 15 weeks. On top of that, the communication with their logistics team was terrible, they almost never answered my emails.

After I payed I didn't hear form them in two months, until the moving team showed up to pick up my stuff I was not sure if they were coming. To top that, many things arrived damaged. The only good thing was the moving team, very friendly and efficient. Edit: In response to Einat's comment I would like to add this screen capture (http://i68.tinypic.com/nv346.png) of the email that they sent me when I first asked for an estimate. Maybe my English is not very good, but I understand that it will take 5 weeks from pick up to delivery

Words cannot express my deep appreciation and gratitude to this amazing company. I had a life changing event where I moved from UK to FL to NY. and everyone at NY Moving Company, especially Eric, Rosalyn, and Paola went above and beyond to accommodate my request and very specific needs for this relocation. The movers themselves, we're fantastic as well.

We used them to move from NJ to CT and they were great! Rosalyn Nailes was a pro and we didn't make it easy on her with adding/deleting contents and even switching the delivery location. Such a pleasant person to work with. Abraham, Noe and Billie were prompt, clean and fast with no damage done to our stuff. They were a blast to work with and treated my 3 yr old great who was constantly in the way. We will use them again for sure!
