Loved everything about this moving company. Customer service was on point and the movers did an excellent job. They delivered the boxes and packaging material 1-month ahead so, I could pack at my own pace. The actual move out day, the guys took care of the furniture and other heavy items. Also, prices were reasonable compared to other companies so, this was a great choice.

We have moved 9 times and this was the worst experience we ever had. The experience booking the move was fine. They came for the in person estimate and gave us a figure below 2 other estimates so we hired them. They came on time and packed us relatively quickly. We made the mistake of not watching! Most of our furniture went to storage for 7 months.

We booked the delivery easily but much to our surprise, the cost went up significantly as they said we had more than they had estimated. Again the arrived on time. All was going well until they started unpacking. We then discovered that because of their poor packing, almost everything we owned was broken or damaged! Additionally, a large carton of designer shoes and bags mysteriously disappeared (wonder who owns these items now). The company took no responsibility for this and was difficult to deal with from them on. NEVER use them.

David and his crew from Imperial movers were exceptional! They were on time, kept me i formed of their arrival 1 day before and 15 mins prior to arriving. They took great care of all my furniture and work efficiently. Arriving at the desired location their level of professionalism continued. I tried to assist with some boxes as they were working so hard. But they insisted that I relax and enjoy the day! Thank you so much David and Surgey for making the moving process a breeze. I would highly recommend Darwin and his crew. On time, respectful of people and property alike. No damage or broken items From front office to back of the truck, everyone was super responsive and accommodating. Estimated time, materials, and movers was very accurate. We added one set of hands to our order and believe it was a good choice. Super great team. Will absolutely call in the future.

Yesterday, I booked a last minute appointment to move my belongings out of my old apartment and into my new one. Imperial was very professional. They responded very quickly and offered me a reasonable price (while others demanded hundreds more, wont be available for days and uninsured so I'd have to pay for them to get a license). The movers showed up an hour early (which was a blessing because our building doesn't allow outside workers in the building after 5pm).

They handled all of my furniture with professionalism and care. None of my properties were damaged and they did everything so quickly! I would definitely recommend this company, and a special shout out to the super awesome guys that did the job: Javier and Siarhei!

Great move from start to finish! I had a small order move (desk, table/chairs) from NY to California. Imperial completed the job from pickup to delivery on time, as scheduled, with regular updates, and all items in perfect condition. I initially spoke with Mario about cost and details for the move. He was forthcoming with information about packing and handling my furniture, and the movement of goods from my house to the warehouse to the truck and final delivery.

The price was fair and comparable to the estimate from other carriers. I had seen some negative reviews on Yelp and spoke at length with Kevin about my concerns. He followed up with me by phone and by email. Communication was excellent and I felt assured that my move would go smoothly. Igor contacted me to confirm the pickup date and again the day of pickup to confirm the time they would arrive.

The movers were professional and careful in thoroughly wrapping my glass top table and wood desk. It took 14 days for my furniture to arrive in San Francisco which was within the expected range. I received regular email and phone call updates on the progress of the move and the planned delivery date. I was notified three days ahead to confirm the date of delivery, the day before to confirm the time of delivery and the day of to let me know a few hours before they would arrive. Again, the movers were professional, placed my furniture as requested, and completed the job in good order.

I highly recommend Imperial Movers for their excellent customer service, efficient movement of goods and fair pricing. I would definitely use them again and appreciate their making my move worry free and 100% successful.

Update: I just did part 2 of my move from Manhattan to the Hudson Valley. Sergei + team were great: they came early, hustled the whole time, and moved tons of heavy stuff up two flights of slippery stairs and through the heavy snow. Sergei helped me move furniture around in the new location, unwrapped and reassembled furniture pieces. The guys were friendly and professional.

Thanks Imperial!. From Dec. 5th: Oshane (Roy) + Team were my heroes today! I was ghosted by another moving company and sitting on my floor surrounded by boxes in tears. A friend recommended Imperial - I called and was able to book an emergency move 2 hours later with a very complete phone intake. Oshane was incredible- so though, professional. It was really outstanding service - I feel I dodged a bullet by not working with that other company.

I felt so taken care of and relieved. Though not inexpensive it was worth every penny for piece of mind. I will for sure call these guys again and cannot recommend them highly enough!

We highly recommend Imperial Movers for your upcoming move for multiple reasons. Firstly, the movers took their time to carefully disassemble and reassemble our furniture. The movers handled all of our fragile and delicate items with care. All staff members were friendly and professional to work with. The client manager was flexible to our needs, given that we were moving across state lines. The total price was reasonable, especially considering how our move was a 4 hour drive away. We are thrilled to have chosen Imperial Movers.

I spoke with Marshall, he was quite informative, a pleasure to deal with, he is solicitous without being overbearing, the price is the best, based on my experience so far, I want to use this company for our move this March. Excellent customer relations so far. After the Holidays they will contact me, we can schedule then. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value BEWARE: these people destroyed almost every single piece of furniture they touched. Leather sleeper sofa: torn. Leather ottoman: ripped. Velvet sofa: marked up. Framed artwork: damaged beyond repair. Suitcase: crushed. And they tried to overcharge me repeatedly, and then demanded 20% tips. Just a terrible experience top to bottom

We did a local move within NYC late September 2021. Initially we felt good about the communication and booked the move through Mario. The movers were to pack our items (less many big furniture items since we weren't moving those) on one day and move the items the following day. They literally had boxes and a few big furniture items (two sofas, a dining table, chairs, the TV, and a lamp) to pack and move.

The movers showed up late on both days. The first day they were supposed to come at noon but showed up at 3pm. This meant they only had a couple of hours to pack. The next day / moving day, they were supposed to start at 9am but showed up at 10am. The foreman on the job was nice-but clearly lacked experience. They were soooo slow. They barely had the truck packed by 3:00, which meant literally only two hours to move us in by 5, which was the time cutoff imposed by the building and well known to all parties in advance.

The real kicker, however, is they broke our TV and KNEW they broke our TV. They even tried to unload it last, after making us pay for the move. It literally was the last thing to come off the truck. And to top it all off, they guys put two dents in our newly resurfaced and professionally wallpapered wall. Now they claim that they won't reimburse us for the damages which will cost us thousands.

This should've been a fairly easy job, but clearly they couldn't handle it properly and with care. This company is shady and unprofessional. Steer clear and go with a better company.

These people changed my 12:30pm moving time at the last minute to 9am less than 24 hours before my move. After I called management to advocate for a reduction due to the inconvenience, I was met with an insulting $25 reduction. Not to mention, the total cost of the move exceeded the quote by $400 even though I included all items. I was also swindled by one of the movers: he made me pay $80 separately to remove/install my A.C. whilst including that time in the hourly rate-he didn't even install it correctly. If you want an honest and reliable moving company, I would recommend steering clear of this moving company.

I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but this was honestly a really bad experience. Based on other reviews I see here Imperial may be good at local New York moves, but I would not use them again for a long distance move such as mine (Chicago-New York). They did not stick to timelines, continuously promised to call me back and failed to do it and they outsourced the move on both ends.

Here are some more details Pickup: Pickup was pushed off the day before my pickup day (even though I had a paid my deposit) and I was only alerted when I called to confirm what time they would arrive the next day. That's right, Imperial never told me they could not make my confirmed pickup day. I had called them to confirm on a Wednesday for a Thursday pickup and they told me they could get me in on Monday.

This leaves me to believe that if I had not called, I would have just been waiting Thursday for the pickup that never arrived. I was lucky my lease was not over that day or I would have been in a terrible spot. No concessions were granted for the inconvenience and delay. The lack of communication was a problem throughout, including when it came to pricing Price: I had a quote for my move in which I sent pictures of everything and asked specific questions. However, on the day of the move I was told my quoted price was different than what my email said. Turns out that either they never sent me an updated quote, or this was a tactic used.

No email was able to be provided for the new quote price. Additionally, the subcontractors charged me for things I was specifically told in writing by imperial I would not be charged for. These charges imperial eventually took off my bill after some discussion ( so I don't fault them for that except shows lack of communication between the two companies) Delivery: Delivery was not the speed I was originally told by the sales team. Fine, I can live with that since its still within the contract window. However, they moved my delivery time and date TWICE AFTER IF WAS CONFIRMED.

I was called on Sunday night at 7pm to accept delivery on Monday morning. I did not know if my building would agree with so little notice, so we agreed to Tuesday Morning. On Tuesday morning 10 minutes before the delivery time I was called and told they would not make the morning slot but would be there in the afternoon. Then in the afternoon I was called an hour before the end of their delivery slot and was told they will not be there, and would come Wednesday morning.

That was just another full day of mine wasted, taken off from work to sit in an empty apartment. For the price of the extra time I took off from work and discomfort, would have paid for some better service. Lesson learned don't go for the low quote go for the better service Items: A few minor items were lost or damaged, but this is not where I would take much off. The sole person that I felt wanted to help me out in the process was Kevin

These guys are crooks. Their social media manager - Michal Pescovsky, contacted me 3 months ago saying the company wants to make good and so we're offering me money back for my bad experience a couple of years ago. Which I thought was a good gesture by the company and decided to upgrade their rating to 3 stars. Michal told me that I should give them another chance and contact him personally for a move in the future.

I wrote to him yesterday requesting for movers for a move within our building. Surprise! No response back. It's safe to say I'm never going to be using this moving company.

I'll start by saying that the list of things I planned to move ended up growing after my quote so I knew that the $750 quote for 4 hours would end of being slightly inaccurate. There was a blizzard the day before and the day I was supposed to move so Imperial called me to confirm they would be there. I told them I would have a few extra items like a love seat I wanted to bring, they said it didn't matter cause I'm paying hourly.

Then they proceed to tell me that because of snow my move will probably take an extra few hours and I would have to pay for that. I have to pay because you choose to operate in a snow storm? My being responsible for mother nature was the first red flag. But what was I to do? Most NYC move-out dates aren't exactly flexible. I paid for 3 movers and really only saw 2 doing any moving while 1 stayed in the truck.

In fact, a few hours in I finally went out to the truck and saw him-- he hadn't yet stepped foot in my apartment. They had a legal parking spot directly in front of my building so not sure why I was paying for a mover not to move anything. Keeping guard over my stuff on my small West Village block? I also walked every one of the 35 gorilla bins I had rented and put outside the apartment door to make it easier on the 2 movers.

The lead mover probably brought up giving a good tip at least 6 times. Uncomfortable and unprofessional but times are tough so I just kept letting it roll off my back. My contract says that basic assembly/disassembly are included. Well cabinet doors were screwed on inside out or not at all, saying they couldn't finish or they'd have to charge me more as it's not included.

No where in my contract did it say that large bags weren't able to be moved so then I'm told they all have to be shoved into boxes-- that will cost me between $37-$60 for a freaking cardboard box. Nothing was fragile, forcing me to use these boxes was ridiculous. At the end of the day, my total bill was $1000 OVER my quote. I was so exhausted and over it that I paid it just so I could sit alone on my couch and cry. Gave a cash tip which was very generous based on my original quote but wasn't good enough and I was pressured to wire him more money.

I PACKED MY ENTIRE APARTMENT BY MYSELF AND EVERYTHING WAS READY WHEN THEY ARRIVED. There are moving companies that will pack and move all your stuff for $1500, don't make my mistake.

Not satisfied with these movers. you get an estimate and at the end they always ask you for more money, like tolls or packing that they didn't do. I had to negotiate at the destination. I had done all the packing. Then, i had packed most of the frames, except 4 with glasses that I wanted them to pack and it was on the estimate (they were supposed to pack 12 of them) When they arrived at destination, (Long Island from NYC) everything looked ok, but the morning after when i hung one of the glass framed picture, I found out that the glass had been broken, and carefully taken out.

I was lucky that the lithograph was untouched, but the dishonesty of the movers, removing every bit of the glass.i can't believe it. I called customer service, they indeed offered for the replacement of the glass, but it doesn't cover the fact that the framer has to reopen the frame, put the glass, and put the frame back. So.$200 against $70 refund!

I called the movers they looked like they didn't remember that they broke the glass of a 40 x 30 inches frame, very heavy. I hate dishonnest people I will NEVER use their service anymore. And i was kind enough to tip them. in these difficult times.

The team at Imperial reached back out to me this Fall to provide their apologies for my experience. They made it clear that they were working on improving various systems and that they were making important changes so their communication with clients was much better. They also provided a monetary compensation for my troubles. I appreciated them reaching out and making this positive gesture.

The new manager, Avi, called me and in the spirit of the holiday, he offered to solve my previous issues with Imperial Moving & Storage. He assured me that if I move again, he will take great care of me and will give me a great discount. I am so impressed that this new manager seems to genuinely care about even past customers' experiences so much that he is calling unhappy customers from over three years ago!

I will certainly be reaching out to Avi when I move again. They seem to have made a great choice in hiring Avi, who provided excellent customer service and care and made me feel so much better about my experience! Seeing business make such a turnaround, especially during this difficult time, really gives me hope for a better future and a better NYC!

Loved my moving experience. We worked with Sean to set up the move from our apartment in Brooklyn to a storage unit in NJ. Seam was amazing, explained everything, and helped us get organized. The day-of team of 4 was led by DR who was reliable, fast-moving, organized, and flexible. They packed up our entire apartment and loaded the truck in under four hours. The timing and everything worked out perfectly and we could not have been happier.

Great experience! I was scheduled for a move that would start between 3-4pm and guess what? The movers, Georgie and Alfredo showed up at 3pm ON THE DOT, so super appreciate the punctuality. I was nervous because I had packed some last minute stuff that I thought would take up more time and space but they were super cool about it, put it in one whole big box for me and we didn't even go over the time limit!

I wanted to discard some furniture and that was also a snap for them Both of these guys were super polite and friendly and handled my stuff like pros. Hopefully I'm never moving again but if I am, I'll def call on Imperial again

The absolute WORST moving company in NYC. The staff is EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful - specifically Ruma and Mario. I would recommend using another company. This company is a complete and utter scam.

DO NOT USE! I hired Imperial movers to pack up my apartment on March 24th and put everything in storage. I could not be there to supervise it because of Covid-19 (I was out of town and could not get to NY). After the move was competed, my super called to say that they left quite a few things in kitchen and the bathroom so they had to send another mover to complete the job.

On May 25th I finally could get up to NY and get the stuff from storage in my new apartment. It was a mess (see pictures below). But more importantly after the movers left, I discovered that my MacBook Air was missing or stolen and still is as of today. I filed a complaint with NYPD and I am trying to put a stop payment on my Visa card. Note that a few other items of no value were missing/broken but did not make a fuss about those.

I have moved with movers 5 times now (several transatlantic for work), and while Imperial has great communication they have some execution and and followup issues that leave a little to be desired. The communication leading up to the move was great and the estimate was very accurate, the problem started day of. They were supposed to get to me between 3-4pm but arrived around 5:30 to begin.

Nobody called me to inform me they would be late and their office (while online they say it is open until 5pm, nobody was answering the phone at 4pm). A move is stressful enough without a company lacking in the communication department. When they got there they were quick and efficient moving things out and getting it on the truck. Once they were done they packed up and left quickly.

It was dark and late (about 10pm) so I wasn't able to assess until the day after. In their rush they damaged the floors, a wall, and my bed frame. No representative reached out to me and my calls were not returned. It took posting a review online to hear back from CS. He is a nice enough guy and did his best to rectify the situation. Ruslan, Vladimir and Alexander were incredible during our move from the Upper West to the Upper East side today. We have used this company before and they have never broken anything, are always very tidy and do an overall great job. We will be using them again for our next move and you should too! So I was in a pickle, and I needed to move fast. Although I did not have much to move. about a room's worth of belongings, I did not want to deal with the move alone. Enter this company. Imperial was recommended to me by my broker, who helped me find a decent apartment close to school. The price they quoted me was reasonable, and the time frame in which I was able to hire them was great.

I needed to move within 24 hours, and I was able to schedule them on short notice. I got three guys helping me move. They brought a large truck, which was more than enough for all my stuff. They brought several boxes with them, and packed all my belongings efficiently. The entire move took less than two hours, and I had to do afterward was unpack and organize my stuff. These guys are great, they worked hard, and were friendly people. I tipped accordingly.

PLEASE DO NOT USE FOR MOVE OR STORAGE. TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY BEFORE THEY WOULD UNLOAD TO TRUCK AND THREATENED TO TAKE MY THINGS BACK INTO STORAGE WHEN THEY WERE 3 HOURS LATE I have moved with them 2 years ago was very happy. This 2nd time around has been a disaster. I schedule a move into storage for a month and then a move back into an apartment. My tabletop had chips and scratches. Mattress had a punctured hole and rips in it.

Picture frames were shattered. They were 3 hours late because the movers went to the wrong location to pick up my stuff. I wrote a complaint and they said that they would reimburse me $120. My table is from Herman Miller (retailing at $2160) and I have a Casper mattress (retailing $1195).

STAY AWAY! This was the worst experience of my life. We had 3 stops. The salesman completely underestimated our cubic feet to get the job. There is nothing you can do they can charge you anything at the end and hold your stuff hostage. This was a big job and they were unprepared and sent a too small truck. The guys were tired, rushing and overworked.

The customer service agent was like talking to brick wall and would not listen to me. We had to drive back 2 hrs to the city and move again the second day. They threatened to stop on the highway with our stuff until we payed for the the second trip. They will hold your items hostage. They will not release your things until you pay whatever they ask.

They are like mobsters. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. On top of holding our stuff hostage and at the end of a very long and stressful day, they only take square credit card payment - we moved to the country with no reception so my husband had to drive the guy into town to get reception to pay the bill. Mind numbing. Unpacking I'm finding broken dishes! And dented dressers. I want these people to go out of business. I'm still angry. They also dented my new wooden dresser on the top corner.
