Indiana and Illinois Intrastate: Any move within these states, over 30 miles is based on weight. Day 1- Movers were polite to speak with but smoked in my garage. When moving large items they did not use a ramp instead banged it down the front steps and scratched the composite decking. The home's new owner was present and I was mortified. They left early because they were sure they could get everything done the following day. I was told that they were only scheduled to do everything in 2 days even though we originally were told 3.
Day 2- Movers were polite but one had the worst hygiene. He smelled so badly I had to open windows in my house. They informed me they'd need a 3rd day because they didn't pack enough on day 1. Luckily the hotel reservation I had made was able to be cancelled since I didn't need it now. Day 3- Movers were again polite but the same gentleman still smelly and my toilet was used and the toilet seat left up.
When I asked for it to be put down eyes were rolled, sighs given. It was raining so instead of crating things up they decided to leave and do it at their yard. They still didn't get everything done and had to come back 3 days later to complete the job. Today we call to see where our stuff is and the lady operating the phone was nothing but rude. She spoke like it was an inconvenience to share the shipping company's contact info.
Information we are entitled to have. So if you want disorganization, disregard for your personal schedule, your home to smell and to be spoken to like you are an inconvenience by all means, CALL HENDERSON
