UPDATE: Since my original post, I was contacted by EDC and was asked what happened on MY end that caused my order not to be delivered. After a frustrating conversation, my order was rescheduled for a thursday. On Thursday, I was contacted and told that the delivery would be an hour late. Well.once again the delivery window came and went. This time, however, I was contacted at 9:30PM by the delivery driver to say that they were ten minutes away.

This is 3 hours AFTER the scheduled delivery time. I was put into a situation where I had to meet two men outside in the DARK and let them into my apartment so that I could receive my order. I will be calling EDC when they open in the morning because, while I did FINALLY receive my order, I was placed into a very uncomfortable and dangerous situation.

I have been waiting on a delivery for two months now. Earlier this week I was finally contacted to schedule my delivery. It is now the day of my scheduled delivery, the delivery time has come and gone, and I am still without my order. I have tried to call both of the customer service numbers that I was provided in previous emails, but the offices are closed on Saturdays.

If there are going to be deliveries on Saturdays, then there should be someone to contact on Saturdays! This has been a huge inconvenience and I have been left completely in the dark, since there is no one to contact. This is extremely unprofessional and has been a ridiculously frustrating experience.

UPDATE: EDC reached out to me the morning after my original post. We scheduled the delivery for a couple days later and they arrived within the scheduled time frame. Original post: I had tried to call the local office who currently has my cabinets in their warehouse to schedule a delivery, after I left 2 voice mails and and not getting a call back I decided to just keep calling until someone answered. after several more calls I was told told the delivery schedule was done out of the Houston office (I live in the Dallas area) I was given that number.

After it rang about 30 times it just hung up every time I tried and no one ever answered nor did it give me the option to leave a voicemail. I bought my cabinets from Shenandoah, It might be in their best interest to find a company that is more responsive to customers. After waisting an entire day trying to get ahold of someone I get to do it all again tomorrow.

Given a choice ( I wasn't) at this point I would suggest you find another company to assist with your shipping needs. I will update this review once the transaction is competed and my cabinets are delivered.

The biggest mistake that I have ever made in my entire adult life was hiring EDC Moving Systems to pack, move, and store all of my belongings from my upscale 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment. In my personal opinion, this company is the most unethical, most deceitful, and most unprofessional company that I have ever worked with in my entire life. They permanently damaged every irreplaceable item that was most important to me, they failed to make it right, they treated me terribly from the moment they received my initial credit card payment, they lied to me an uncountable number of times, and they never even apologized for the harm & grief & destruction that they created in my life.

They took advantage of me every step of the way. If you value your personal belongings, I urge you to please learn from my gigantic life mistake, and please steer clear of EDC. To say that my belongings would have been treated better by burglars who had broken into my house would be an understatement. I would rather be burglarized than have EDC ever touch my belongings again.

If you are a potential customer reading this review, I would like you to know that I am always available by email or phone to share with you my entire experiences in detail so I can dissuade you from going down the EDC path. Please reach out to me via Yelp or Google or my ScottWorld website, and I would be happy to spend as much time as possible talking with you about my full experiences with EDC.

It would take me hours to document my entire experience with EDC here, but I will continue to come back to this review and update it with pieces of my story every step of the way, until my full story will eventually be written here. I also have many photos of my damaged belongings which I will be uploading here as well. I am so far beyond anger at this point.

I also would encourage you to please take an hour out of your day to drive down to their office to observe the inner workings of their unprofessional operations. My lawyer even discovered that they were lying about the government-required insurance that they are required by law to carry. More details to follow, as I continually update this review.

By the way, the only blessing in disguise that came out of this was that I discovered Einstein Movers, which is by far the best moving company that I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Sadly, I believe that Einstein Movers only covers local moves instead of interstate moves.

There are two EDC places where we deliver, one in Austin the other in San Antonio. The San Antonio is the easiest and Austin being more difficult because of minimum space to maneuver. Both are a drop and hook for us but sometimes the docks are full and have to pull out an empty trailer to set yours in. In both places the un loaders have a tendency of leaving trash on trailer floors.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value DON'T do it. Day labor moving crew, stolen items, and damaged property which their insurance is trying to squirm out of reimbursing. Look elsewhere. Service: In-state moving

Critical: Professionalism, Quality Terrible customer service. I had to deal with them as the furniture company I bought all my furniture from subcontracts their delivery to EDC. Would never trust them again in the future. They are straight up rude and frankly I am surprised they are still in business

This company helped my family of seven move to Hong Kong from Houston. Efficient, friendly, knowledgeable service. Sometimes they got us some information a bit later than they said they probably would, but they would also quickly respond to email inquiries saying something like "We're still working to get you the best price." In the end, the price really WAS lower than our initial quote!

I don't recall anything going wrong through the whole process, except that on pack-up day WE made a mistake and forgot to give them the guitar to pack. Well, this company was friendly and flexible enough to let me drive over to their warehouse with it. It's here with us in Hong Kong now.

Tom Kelner and EDC Moving Systems made my move from Plano, TX to Austin, TX a breeze. Tom coordinated the movers in Plano and packed my 3-bedroom, 2-bath home and moved everything to Austin, TX. He had an estimator review the contents in Plano, had the movers arrive on time and had my furnishings packed in 1.5 days. The move was 1 day and the movers in Austin unpacked in less than 6 hours. I was very grateful for a well coordinated move.

Fantastic service! Delivered a large 2 piece desk and file cabinet. They assembled what needed to be assembled on the desk and placed everything exactly where I wanted it. I was contacted on Friday to select a delivery date that worked best for me. Then they called again the day prior to the scheduled delivery day to give me a 2 hour window. They called again on the morning of delivery to let me know they were on the way. Delivery, set up and removal of packaging was done very professionally! Kevin and Tim, the delivery guys, made sure I was happy with the service! Great job EDC!

Communication was great. Gave us notice on which day our furniture would be delivered & called us the day of to give us a time frame which was pretty accurate. Unfortunately it started to downpour when they first arrived so we had to take some time to assess the situation. Our bedroom is carpet so the concern was getting the carpet wet & possibly muddy.

We asked if they could remove the packaging at the door & carry the furniture into the bedroom & hey were fine with it. Thankfully the rain lightened once they began moving the furniture out of the truck. They were very accommodating. They put every piece exactly where we wanted it & had us check everything before they left. Friendly gentlemen (Kevin & Tim).

One of the drawers for the bed frame was not opening all the way & they tried their best to fix it but wasn't able to do they made a note. Not sure who will send someone to fix it if it's the movers or Costco or not. All in all great experience.

EDC movers came within that two hour window with time to spare. They were able to pull a 26' truck up our very steep and curvy driveway. The movers placed the boxes where we needed them to be in our home and none of the boxes were damaged during transit. I'm not sure why the negative feedback but I wanted to put my positive spin on this company.

Absolutely terrible company. I ordered a dresser from Z Gallerie on August 1, 2015, was told it would be delivered by EDC between 2-3 weeks. On August 17th, I called and was told that EDC had my dresser as of August 10th, and would be calling me soon to set up delivery time. I called again on August 20th, and was told they would be in touch with me within 2 days.

I called again on August 25th and was told they would call within 2 hours. I called 2 and a half hours later at which point EDC did indeed call me. They told me they could deliver my dresser the next day, then changed the day to Friday but they are unable to guarantee any specific delivery time. The woman I spoke to was rude and completely unaccomodating. We will see if I actually get my dresser and I will be reporting them to BBB.

Constant communication, punctual updates, on-time arrival, and very courteous driver and assistant. Most recently I ordered a very large refrigerator from the military Post Exchange and EDC was the delivery carrier. They called ahead of time to coordinate the date of delivery. They called the day before delivery to confirm and know all was well. They called the day of delivery 30 minutes prior so that I would be ready. and then.

Imagine a surprise when they showed up ON TIME and precisely when they said they would. They arrived precisely at 7 a.m. on a dreary morning and without hesitation they got to work. The delivery supervisor was "J.R." and he was straight forward, courteous, and on a mission to get the job done. JR measured the spaces we needed to navigate and allowed me time to take my door off of its hinges so it would be easier. Overall, it is rare in this modern day that a delivery service keeps their word on the delivery time and then follows up with great service.

The EDC team of two were in and out and onto the next delivery. Not a scratch on my appliance, my house, and they left no trash from the shipping/pacling materials when they unpacked it. Great job all around.

This is the delivery company Target.com used to deliver the furniture I ordered for my place in Austin. I received a voice mail indicating my order would be delivered the following Monday. Delivery was not made on Monday, so I waited patiently until Wednesday. I personally called EDC on Wednesday only to have them tell me that an item was missing from the shipment.

They would not, however, admit that it was lost. I followed up with Target.com to initiate a Dock Search and was told to wait 24-72 hours. A week later, I tried to leave several voice mails only to find that their inbox is full. I called Target.com again to complain. This incompetent company only initiated the Dock Search yesterday. As a result, I have canceled my order with Target.com and will be spending my money elsewhere.

Unfortunately for Target, I refuse to order from them if they continue to use EDC. After reading other reviews, it seems that I will probably not order from Costco either and will simply go pickup from the store, as inconvenient as that is.

Terrible business! Unfortunately I did not have a choice in picking this company to deliver a desk I ordered, otherwise I would have chosen differently. The company had the desk a whole week before they would deliver it. The delivery was to a business, and a desk is a critical function in your daily work actions. The desk would have taken 30 minutes tops to deliver, and they still would not deliver it.

On the day that it was scheduled to deliver, I received the phone call saying it would be between 1-5pm, and the driver would give me a 30 minute courtesy call. IT NEVER CAME! I even stayed 15 minutes past 5 and past the time I was supposed to be off for a phone call and I never received one. When I got in the next morning, there was a note in our office for us to give them a call to reschedule.

When I called, they wouldn't be able to deliver the desk until another three days away. \ ***Basically, this company is very mishandled and not professional at all! They do not perform timely or efficient moves, and do not care about the customers or the customers products!***

I have not personally used this company, but my neighbor did today. I'm reviewing because these are the noisiest, most inconsiderate movers I have ever had the displeasure of suffering through - as a non-customer at that. They've spent hours moving my neighbor's furniture and rather than tape things inside her apartment, they do it outside, which is normally noisy as it is, but the corridor makes it echo, thus magnifying the noise.

This is, of course, highly distracting and the process lasted at least 45 minutes on and off. Additionally, rather than placing the dolly down in a normal fashion, they slam it down and then proceed to let is slam down every single step all the way down (we live on the third floor, so that's quite a lot of steps) over and over again. I get that people move in and out, and that the process tends to make noise, but I've just spent the last 2 hours (and they were at it before then) dealing with ridiculous noise and and some serious vibrations shaking my entire apartment. I've been in this apartment specifically for 5 years and have seen many, many people move in and out and *never* has a neighbor moving been so disruptive.

We ordered a mattress set online and they used EDC Moving Systems for their delivery service. We were told that the mattress would be delivered anytime between 2/1-2/13. As it turns out, the mattress was to be delivered on 2/1. EDC called the day before and set up a delivery time. They gave us a four hour window between 9am and 1pm. They called at 8:15 on the day of the delivery and said that they were on their way.

They arrived at 8:45 am. They unwrapped the mattress, brought it in the house, and set it up on the frame that we had already set up. They were done in about 10 minutes. Very friendly and polite. So, not only did they show up early, but they freed up the rest of my day. I didn't have to spend half a day just sitting around waiting on them. Awesome!

I have known EDC Moving Systems owner, George Gilbert for 30 years, we retired and was moving to the country; so we call him. We were totally satisfied as I knew they would do a great job. The best endorsement I can provide is that we will always recommend them to others. Prior to the move I received excellent guidance on packing and preparation as well.

Great customer service and confirmation call all around from everyone involved with the move. On the day before the actual load day, a team of 5 packers showed up, packed everything in our 5 bedroom house. The next day loading crew and drew showed up on time and loaded everything (including some pretty heavy couches) in the truck within about 5 1/2 hours!

Not a single item was broken or damaged, the team was very friendly, and they communicated with me throughout the day. They were as careful as they could be in our brand new country Home; there are a two unavoidable marks on one of the walls, but they send a service team out to touch up the blemish the next day. Now I'm spoiled and hope I never have to move again; if we do we will EDC moving Systems.

Incompetent and thieves. This is the delivery company used by Costco. I had a living room set scheduled for delivery as well as an older one for return. They picked up 4 pieces but reported only 2. Even speaking with their supervisor who was adamant that they only picked up 2 pieces and that "I must have had another company pick up the rest!" I am now considering filing a police report for theft.

They also are very disorganized about their delivery schedules. They called me to schedule a delivery time 3 weeks after it already took place. If you are considering doing business with these guys (or ordered from Costco) make absolutely sure you document everything and take pictures. These people cannot be trusted. Update: The supervisor called me back saying he "did some additional research and found out what happened to the other 2 pieces." So the issue has been resolved. I'd still be wary of these guys.

We ordered a commercial treadmill to be delivered to our home in Austin. The treadmill was shipped via EDC from across the country. It arrived in Austin in the expected time window, EDC called when it was on their dock in Austin, and delivery was scheduled. The delivery took place on schedule and the giant box was placed where we wanted it. The treadmill arrived in perfect condition and there wasn't a single mark or dent on the box. I can't imagine a better outcom.
