Did you get water or mold damage that ruined your belongings? EZ didn't care? I had a unit here for a couple years. When I came to get my belongings most of my stuff was ruined due to the ceiling collapsing due to water damage. I paid my bill on time for years, did anyone ever say there might be potential damage to my stuff when there were obvious repairs done to the ceiling down the entire hallway. NO!I walked around and saw there were tarps hanging from the building.

Other tiles that were also damaged and the whole building smelled like mold/mildew. If you have had a similar situation, please contact this email address so you can join us to stop this guy from ripping more people off and hiding behind a contract knowingly renting out units with a damaged roof damagedezunit @gmail.com

Mr Deak is a super nice man, very helpful and professional. I was in need of a small storage space and i have never rented before from anywhere. Upon searching for the best rates I found EZ-Access had the lowest rates and insurance was optional also there were no other fees it's a month to month lease and it was perfect for me. I had my own lock but couldn't find it and not only did Mr Deak stay after hours because I was stuck in traffic on my return to the facility he provided me with a temporary lock to ensure the safety of my belongings.

From my interaction with this small local business the manager Mr Deak is a kind an genuine person who treats people fairly and honest. I am so happy to have found this place. As far as the negative reviews I read, any building can leak and it isn't climate controlled which i was informed and insurance is offered if you want it. So if anyone had furniture that was ruined they could get it replaced.

You should also consider other factors to see if this business is a good fit for you. it's a flat roof building in southern Connecticut the snow melts and anything can happen. This may or may not be the environment for your things and that's ok, however for me I am 100% satisfied and will refer this storage facility to anyone.

Do not rent here unless you want your belongings ruined! Roof leaks horribly. There was water coming down the stairs the last time I was there. Went to clean the unit out to downsized move to a dryer storage facility and everything was covered in mold and our wood furniture was warped. Horrible!

The rates are wonderful and the employees are extremely friendly. There are security cameras as well. Changing my review because we lost all of our things to mildew damage due to a leak from the locker above. Staff is still friendly, but if you want to keep your treasured possessions in good shape. Don't come here. We're also still being charged despite the guy voiding out our payment and telling us we were all set. This place is a joke. Good people. Awful storage environment.

I was inside like a month ago and it looked really nice. There was construction going on there for ages, so I'm guessing they renovated. I was inside to to help my cousin pick up some furniture she was storing. The guy at the front desk was super helpful. The building was nice. Huge.

TL;DR: This place leaks from the roof (a lot), smells heavily of mold (heaaaavily), is cheap because its crappy, and has no controlled access (anyone can come and go as they please). DO NOT rent here unless you DO NOT VALUE your possessions (at all). Also, its completely unheated/uncooled. Its hotter/colder than outside so prepare to bring a jacket or sweat.

Full review: The roof LEAKS like a sieve. It smells heavily of MILDEW and mold. The elevator for the 2nd floor is rusty, NASTY, and slow. Everything about this place is terrible. Its cheap because its crappy. I moved in my stuff in the winter and it was frozen so I didnt think too much of the smell or suspicious water stains on the ceiling. As soon as we got a warm day the smell got much worse (heavy mildew smell.

It was so bad my wife wouldn't even come in the building). The mold smell was a result of POOLED WATER on the floor in multiple locations in the hallways and I could hear water dripping inside other people's storage units (water dripping on cardboard sound). I should have know it was a bad sign when a mop bucked looked permanently stationed in the hall. Also, the ceiling tiles are all brown, water stained, and drooping.

The (crappy) cherry on top is the freight elevator you use to get to the 2nd floor. Its something out of a creepy novel. The floor is rusty, the gate is heavy and it is borderline dangerous. I wouldn't let my kids come here. Anyways, I moved all my stuff to a different storage unit within a week. The review by Loralee is a complete lie based on what I experienced.

I recommend paying more at a different place so your stuff ISN'T DESTROYED by water and mold. (although the 1 good thing is the manager Deke is very nice, easy to work with, and generally a good guy. Sadly, he cant make up for the terrible conditions at EZ access)

Don't do it. Leaks, mold, SMELL. You'd think that if the building smelled like mildew and mold, you're belongings would be safe in their own unit. No way. I stored off-season clothes in the unit, in Tupperware storage, and still had to wash all my clothes because they smelled like mildew. The building is old and not temperature controlled in any way. Freezing in the winter, and hot and humid in the summer. (Which makes the smell unbearable.) We chose this place, from out of state, based on the rate we found online. It is the cheapest in the area, but I would highly recommend paying $15-20 more a month to make sure your belongings stay safe, clean, and odorless.

I just wanted to say that this place did everything that I needed and even went out of their way to help me when I arrived after closing time. They are a bunch of nice people and it is a clean decent well kept place. Also want to point out that when I came in I did not know about a special they were running and without even asking they let me take advantage of it. Experience there was simply very pleasant and I feel I got more then what I paid for.

The staff and manager are absolutely incompetent. They had a "deal" going on where you got the 3rd an 6th month FREE but when they charged me I was told "I" had to call and remind them? Are you serious? It has been over a month and I am still trying to get refunded. Funny that whenever I call to speak to the manager (who is the only one who can do refunds) he is never around.

The staff either hang up on me or give me some pitiful excuse. They don't even ask to take a message. As if that wasn't bad enough it is moldy and damp and a lot of my stuff suffered damage from that. Pay the extra money and go to a respectable storage place. You'll be glad you did. Trust me.

I had a great experience here. Good people. Best price I could find after calling five different places. My furniture was in perfect condition when I moved out - and this was right after the Hurricane. (My friend was at a different storage place in Milford, and her things got damaged - all wet and moldy - ew!) EZ Access is just a nice, reasonable converted warehouse with nice, reasonable prices.

No marble floors in the lobby, but I'm pretty sure my sofas didn't care. :) It's a big place - two floors and an industrial lift in between them. They've got everything you'd expect - heat and AC, good moisture control, security cameras etc. The people at the front desk are super nice - two different guys helped me move in and out, just as a favor. Anyways - this was exactly what I was looking for, and I got it at the lowest price (after really shopping around). Thanks!

I had my entire belongings in this unit for about 12 months until i noticed everything started to mold and get mildew on it. Water stains were on the bottom of anything on the floor after winter. Half of the stuff was destroyed by water/mold or mildew and went straight in the dumpster. The remaining items still smell like the inside of the storage building 2 years later. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID.

Prices are average. The building is old and smelly. Just horrible. There is lots of mold as I constantly would sneeze and my eyes would get watery. There are Air Fresheners all over the place trying to disguise the smell but only make it worse. It is freezing cold in the winter and sweating hot in the summer inside, especially on the second floor.

I have found it warmer outside than it is on the inside during the winter. Its more humid inside than outside during the summer, and naturally in the summer the smell gets worse. There is no climate control. If it rains the parking lot is unusable unless you have a canoe. In the winter time bring ice skates. The elevator is a disaster, it is constantly broken down. The staff are kinda of rude and creepy. This whole place should be condemned. So if you don't want to keep things of value than this is the place for you.
