All my new bedroom furniture was damaged chunks taking out everywhere and employees argue over who's gonna lift what up the stairs they couldn't lift my queen box spring up so they told me to get rid and buy split sets. My husband and friend got it up fine. My sons lamp is broke and when they dropped boxes it busted my cleaners all through my linens. FO NOT HIRE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STUFF DAMAGED

I called A + Movers and was able to get a quote right away. They sent out a very polite yet professional crew of 4 men and they were fast and officiant. Very affordable yet careful with my belongings. I would highly recommend this company to all my family and friends.

I moved this past Sunday, after they rescheduled my original move date which was Saturday, they didnt even call or answer my calls, just late texts! My $3000 TV was broken, as well as alot of other things, I had to move in the rain since they rescheduled, if I didn't have a deadline I would have not used them but I was desperate to move, and it was to late to book other movers, Jim made several promises to be on time and to accommodate and these promised were not kept! he jacked up the prices last minute and took over an hour counting every item and talking about nothing! Do yourself a favor and run!

My girlfriend and I were moving in a bit of a hurry and really didn't have time to make multiple trips to do it ourselves. So, we started looking for a moving company. My girlfriend and I called all around, were told an average price but when we started to ask if there were any additional charges, that's when they all started with the extra fees; travel fees, gas surcharge fees, "have to take a longer route because we can't go on a bridge", more cost for additional time so they tried to upsell paying more to add more guys.

By the time you add all that up it was so expensive for us to move literally 14min away from where we were. Then we called Dollar movers. Jim was very specific about his pricing and took the time to explain how their pricing worked. We followed his instructions, we had everything already boxed and we disassembled everything by the time they got there.

The day of the move Jim kept in contact with us and gave us updates on their ETA, which was very nice. When they arrived, Jim walked through, explained how they charge and confirmed we had what we told him on the phone and had already took everything apart that could be, so the quote on the phone was what we ended up paying, which was very fair for everything these guys did.

Once I paid, the guys got right to work, our apartment was empty quicker than I thought. They brought everything into the new house and put everything where we needed them too. They even got our king size bed up the narrow stairs and a refrigerator down a narrow basement. They were kind, fast, and efficient. I couldn't thank them enough for how hard they worked on such a hot day (we moved 6/1). When we buy a house in another year or two, we're calling Jim at Dollar Movers!

A+ Dollar movers should be named F+ as they are extremely unreliable. I had reservations for Saturday, October 27th and admittedly I asked to have it rescheduled for Saturday afternoon for when the rain stopped. The owner Jim said he would put me down for Monday at 9am, but will try for Sunday. I told him it was imperative that I moved that day as it was my last day I could be in my apartment and I was going out of town Tuesday. Saturday evening I received a call and he scheduled me for Sunday between 2-4.

This was great for me as Monday was pushing it. This company never showed even after I texted on Sunday and did not text back. I get a call that night saying it would be Monday at 9 am. I'm was understanding even though I was hoping for the Sunday move. Come Monday, Jim texted me and said he looked at his schedule wrong and can't come until Tuesday. WTF!

I had enough. I called numerous times sent numerous texts because at this point I had no idea what to do and was desperate and Jim never answered, texted back or calledto explain. Thank goodness for Focus Movers, they came last minute and moved me expeditiously. Back to Jim and F+ Dollar movers, Jim contacted me Tuesday to say he had an emergency and can't come until Wednesday. Are you kidding me?

Still rescheduling and being unreliable after I told you my situation? I'm on the plane about to relax in the sun, but I had time to write this and say do not use this company! They will leave you stranded! They are extremely unreliable! Word to wise, DO NOT USE F+ DOLLAR MOVERS!

What a weird, stressful moving experience. I booked A+ Dollar Movers a few days before my Saturday move. On the day of the move, I was supposed to receive an 8:30 AM text to let me know when they would be arriving. I ended up calling around 8:45. Jim said they would be there around 10:15. They didn't arrive at 10:15 but rather 10:55. Due to some miscommunication which was my fault (I am woman enough to admit my mistakes) the price was higher than originally quoted but we did get a little discount which i truly appreciated.

Now the fun stuff. Two of the workers were CLEARLY high, drunk, hungover, whatever. They clearly had an altered state of mind. The manager at the storage unit where we were commented on it, as well as two other men there. At the end of packing up the storage unit, Tony, one of the workers, proceeded to argue with me that we couldn't fit a bed, vanity, and desk on.

There was clearly enough room. I have moved 6 times in 7 years so i kind of know how to pack. Tony was clearly messed up on something. Needless to say, we were able to fit everything. I believe he just wanted more money as he had stated the belongings wouldn't fit and an extra stop would be $300 when i had already paid $50 to go to my apartment to pick up the bed, vanity and desk.

The workers were very nice except for Tony. They worked hard and were pleasant. But they were not trained at all. They didn't use the blankets to cover my furniture or floors. There are scraps on my wood floors and dings in my walls. I tried to save some money on our move by going with this company. But in the end I wish I had gone with someone else.

I gave two stars for the discount and the workers were very nice. But this was the most stressful, weird, and exhausting move. Our move from Missouri to Hawaii was more pleasant than this small, 20 mile move.

I highly recommended that you research your moving companies before hiring this company. When they moved me they were late, they had attitudes, I lost 2 boxes that never got off the truck, they loaded all boxes in the home lopsided in a corner with fragile marked boxes places in the bottom. All my dishes were broke along with some wine glasses, I asked the to place an air conditioner in the basement and they left it on the front porch (single older female) and an antique piece of furniture fell off back of lift and broke into many peices.

I called owner he said he would send a gift card for inconvenience and never did. I guess I got what I paid for because they are very cheap but I lost so so much. They are AWEFUL. Please do your research

I made my reservation for my move more than a month in advance. I confirmed the day before and receceived a confirmation email in response. The day of my move i received a call saying that they would be a little late. Then at the time when they should have been arriving i received another call asking to push the time back further I reluctantly agreed as i had already broken down the beds, turned off the cable etc.

I then get a call saying that they will not make it at all that day but would make me first for the next morning and i would receive a discount for my inconvenience. What choice did i have, i said ok. The next morning when they should have been arriving, nothing then i hot text saying they would be there an hr later. They still didnt show i get a call saying they will be on their way.

They finally show up 3 hrs late and complaining about everything and telling me what couldnt go on the truck demanding that i show them the email/invoice i had received. We still wound up putting things in my car. My son and i had to take the sofa out of the apartment because they said they couldnt get it out. I paid the originally quoted price no discount as promised and they claimed to not have change so they kept my $5.

Once i got to my end point they did not offer nor did they put one thing togther. I called and spoke with the owner/manager he sounded very apologetic and offered a $120 refund that would be issued the first of the month. I sent and email that day ro confirm and it went from the 1st of the month to the 1st wk of the month when it didnt arrive and i questioned it i received an email that said it would be sent the middle of the month when i asked for an exact date i was told May 21.

I got curious so i checked the BBB site and it looks like they have several other similar complaints. I personally think he only offered the refund because my mom was scheduled to use them and he thought she would cancel so he is stalling until after her move and i'll never see the refund. I wouldn't recommend them ever to anyone. Then i got this email

If I could give them a zero I would. This company is a rip off and just out right terrible. I had many items damaged during the move. They showed up over 2 hours late. When I confronted them about the damages the owner wanted me to just sign the form stating the items were delivered in good condition and when I would not he became hostile, disrespectful and unprofessional.

He told the movers to just get in the truck and leave. Try to threaten me with calling the police and when I welcomed him to call the police he wouldnt. Do not use this company. I repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The owner stated I needed to seek help for my behavior because I was ticked on the care they gave of my own property. They do not care about your property and dont care if they damage it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Hands down the WORST! The workers do not take the time to wrap the furniture before moving it. They arrived very late, appointment was at 10:00 am. They arrived at 3:00 pm, very beat up and tired. One of the workers actually got into an altercation with my significant other after damaging our furniture. I contacted the owner Jim and got no response. Jim does not care about providing quality service. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Don't use these unprofessional off the books crooks. I had a quote for weeks, but then the asshole came to my house and attempted to charge me $200 dollars more than the quote arbitrarily. He wanted cash only so that he could pay the 4 guys he drug off the street with him. Be warned!

30 minutes before my move I receive a text message of cancellation due to the truck broke down. No phone call from anyone to apologize for the HUGE inconvenience that I was left in. Needless to say I called to confirm my reservation and ensured my move would go as smooth for them as possible to get this. As a business it's your responsibility to make sure you can still operate in a situation like this.like rent a UHAUL to continue your day not inconvenience your customers. Did I say I will NEVER use this company again and I mean NEVER! Hope you think twice before reserving with them they might leave you in a bind like they did me.

I have never had a good experience with moving companies but I highly recommend this one. The movers were on time, very respectful, and the overall pricing of my move was lower than what a lot of other businesses in my area we're asking for. The customer service was great; I could tell they were careful with my belongings and the workers didn't rush the process which is something I have dealt with in the past.

I also expected the move to take all day but they did everything within a few hours. I will definitely keep them in mind for my next move. Thank you Jim for all of your help!

Review will also be on "A+ Dollar Movers" Bottom line: I would NOT recommend them to anyone. The owner (whose name I forgot because I did my best to block this experience out of memory) is very personable. Don't let that fool you into hiring them though. Pros: 1. They were available last minute (hired four days before moving). They were probably available because of their service/reputation though so, maybe that's not a "Pro"? 2.

Owner is personable. 3. Competitive prices (but not worth it!) 4. Little was broken (a few plastic lamp shades broke), nothing was missing. Cons: 1. Arrived FOUR hours late. Received an update on arrival time but only after I called to check on where they were (1.5 hours after they were supposed to have arrived). They were at Home Depot buying boxes. 2.

I was told there would be 4-6 men but only two were there for the majority of the packing and a third near the very end. 3. They did not finish packing my house. I had to leave three pieces of gym equipment behind (over $2k worth of equipment). Had they arrived on time, this would not have been a problem. 4. Employees didn't give me the warm fuzzies. Only one would speak/look me in the eyes. The other avoided all eye contact (language was not an issue).

A+ Dollar Movers I was referred by a coworker that this moving company was reasonable in price and has good business methods. Therefore, I used them and completely regretted it. I had a scheduled appointment with A + plus movers for 9 am pick up. At 830 AM I received a text saying our appointment is at 1030 AM. After 25 minutes of trying to contact the company via text, phone, and email, the company representative Jim finally reached me and apologize saying that they are running late, and will discount me and will be there at 1030 AM.

At 11 AM still no arrival I attempt to contact Jim by via text and phone, and received no results till 1230. Jim stated he was with another client, and promise a continued discount, and promise to be ready by 230PM. I again attempted to contact Jim and met with no results until 330 when he promised to be there at 530PM. As they arrived I met with Jim who had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person and breath. Jim also had bloodshot and watery eyes, which is a sign of being intoxicated. Jim brought five of his movers to help with the move.

As Jim conducted an inventory he had trouble counting items an accused me of trying to get something by him. Luckily his coworker had straightened him out and assisted with inventory. Afterward, Jim was negotiating a price with me which was two hundred dollars more than my initial quote. Then he stated there is a charge of 25 percent to have the movers move items to the truck from the house to the street, where the truck was located.

After failed to negotiate of pricing I just wanted to get the job done since the day was wasted by this company. The movers proceeded to move the items, while Jim informed me that he preferred cash because If I utilized credit he had to go to the office first which would delay the move and he would charge me more money to utilize credit. Which is a shady practice however I was desperate to get the job done since the day was wasted by this company.

The movers finally transported my items to my new house, then the movers wanted to drive on my grass which was wet with their moving truck, and became disappointed when I told them no. Foremost my items arrived in poor shape. There were parts of my grill scattered through my front lawn. Water bottles which were given to the movers for hydration were thrown in my bushes.

My dining room table and chairs have a piece of the trimming that broke off during the move and occurred several scratches. My exercise machine's the plastic pieces that cover the motor, were broken off and one piece is missing. I recommend that persons to stay far away from this company. I really don't understand how this company received BBB rating, however, it needs to be revoked or reevaluated.

DEFINITELY AVOID! They charged me more than the amount we originally agreed on. I had to be out of my apartment by the end of the day so I had no choice but to use them. If that's not bad enough, they were hours late, used horrible profanity in front of me, broke 3 of the pieces they were moving, and then when I complained to the Better Business Bureau about them, all they did was make personal attacks against me and tell multiple lies about the details of the move.

The Better Business Bureau had to close the case because the company refused to cooperate. They also originally wouldn't take my credit card, claiming they "don't take credit cards on Sunday" (not what I was originally told). When they finally got the message that I didn't have over $600 in cash lying around, their credit card machine suddenly started working again. Sketchy as hell. Worst moving experience ever!

Alexandra, I really wish I had read your review prior to hiring this company. My experience is almost exactly the same. They were scheduled to arrive at 9 AM but called at 8:30 to tell me that they had to unload other items out of their truck and would be about an hour late. Not a problem. I'm still sitting here at 12:40 PM waiting for them to show up.

What an inconvenience! I need to clean and vacate my apt by 5 and I'm getting a little nervous. They may be incredibly efficient once they show up but definitely not reliable. They finally showed up 6 hours late!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They have the worst customer service, and reliabilty I have ever seen! We hired Dollar Movers to come and move just a few pieces of furniture this past Saturday, and they said they would be there between 2 and 4, Possibly earlier. They said they would call to confirm Friday evening, and never did. We called them and they returned our call very late that night.

The owner, Jim said he would call in the morning to let us know if they were able to come around noon instead, but again, never called. On Saturday morning, we had to call them again to get a status update which was 2 - 4. They called back in the early afternoon to say they were running behind, and it would be closer to 4:30 or 5 now, but they were bringing 5 guys at no extra cost to help out.

We waited until around 5, and still no calls. We called and left several messages, and when they finally called back, they said they would be there about 8pm. When we asked why this turned from 1/2 hour late to 4 hours late, they replied with "its only an hour and a half late at this point!" Yes, but 4 hours to the time they were now giving us. Every time we spoke to them, they said how hot it was out, and it was really hard on the guys in the heat. Yes, we know that, we have been moving all day too!

Maybe they shouldnt be in the moving business then. A few minutes after the last call, they called back and said that they did not like our "tone" or "attitude", and would not be coming out at all. I cannot believe a so-called "reputable" company would act so completely unprofessional, and leave paying customers hanging at such an already stressful time. Honestly - I would give them a NEGATIVE rating if I could.

I would not even choose one star, but there is not a lower rating option. These guys were scheduled to arrive from 12-1. Did not even get to the house until close to 10 at night. Every time I would call to get a status of the truck I would either get voicemail, or get the run around they were still busy at another job. Then they not only busted my 42' TV, but once they found out it was broken because of them they have ignored my phone calls by picking up and hanging up, or it goes to voicemail and they won't return the call.

Please take your money somewhere else where they are actually going to care about giving good customer service, and care about your stuff! I will never use this company again and would highly recommend if you are considering to use them look elsewhere!

Very impressed with the professionalism of this company. I received a phone call early in the morning confirming the appointment and verifying my address. The men were polite and worked hard to protect my belongings. The weather was less than ideal for moving but they got the job done before the storms came through. It wasn't easy because I moved from a 3rd floor apartment to a home across town with a steep hill and many steps. I certainly got my monies worth and I am very pleased with A+ Dollar Movers. Highly recommend this crew.

Seems like my review got remove and the owner didnt follow up on his resolution as he promised. ONCE AGAIN DO NOT THESE GUYS TO MOVE! They will try to scam you by under quoting you online and extremely over quoting once there on site. The guys and the Manger are not on the same page and I dont know if its part of their system but the manager will tell you one thing but the team lead will try to charge you for another.

I went from having a $300 online quote for 1 bed apartment where the only major items I had was my bed, a couch, and elliptical to move 15mins away to a quote of 900+ by the workers when they came on site because they wanted to nickle and dime me. Never again will I use these guys are suggest to use these guys. The owner even called me about my previous review ( which disappeared) and promised he would resolve the issue.

Almost 2 months later still nothing. Goes to show its bad from the top all the way down to the workers. I suggest using another company if you dont want to get scammed on moving day at the last minute. Oh I let one of thier workers borrow my phone charge and even after he reassure me he would return it it took it with him and when I tried to call him after he left they didnt answer the. I will repost this if it gets deleted again so people are aware of this company's practices.

WARNING: DO NOT USE A+ Dollar Movers! I moved to the neighborhood two weeks ago and got about 5 estimates for moving costs. I went with the cost in the middle, certainly not the cheapest estimate received. I also went on previous recommendations received. The job was supposed to be from 9-12. At 8:30 the day of they called to tell me they were running late and would be at my house at 10:30.

At 10:30 with no movers and no phone call I called them, they indicated they were in Owings Mills but were finishing up and would be at my house at 11:30.they showed up at 12:45! Granted they came with 6 movers instead of 3. And had they provided great service I wouldn't be writing this review. However, the not only dropped a box (witnessed by my boyfriend) and didn't tell me, but they also tore up a piece of furniture by trying to force it around a corner.

Okay okay fine, I get it, things in moves happen. But they also didn't use any blankets when dragging my furniture across the wood floors and now there are not one, not two but three long scratches throughout my place. I have since called twice and left messages asking for a call back to see if there is anything that can be done and have received no phone call back.

They are wonderful with communication before you pay them but once money is in hand.don't expect a response. Please, do not use this company for your moving needs. From one angry neighbor trying to make sure no one else has to go through that.

I'm simply amazed at how this company even has a business license, where do I begin? First off I don't even have Internet. I came to the library, took a class on how to use the Internet then wondered on this site for about two hours just to post this because it's that important to me. Now onto my experience, I truly believe that "Jim" if that's even his real name, should be running a circus or brothel!

The way he parades these workers around and demands superior respect. So I'm home eating when the workers arrive, I leave for a few hours because no one likes to be watched while working unless your a dancer but when I return I find ripped up toilet paper all over my living room like a few cows were let loose and only one slice from two whole pizzas left!

And also 2 empty whipped cream cans in the trash. The movers were gone at this point. So I figure after the horseplay from the 3 workers like grade school girls I would at least have my belongings in my new apartment only next door! WRONG! These "Movers" said there was a clause to the contract to where my things had to be moved at least 1200 miles in order for it to constitute a move! Outrageous! Now they are demanding I pay for another 1200 mile move from costa rica to bring my things back to Baltimore! Update to follow

If I could give this company NO stars I would! Jim is very unprofessional and I will NEVER use his services again! I used them a month ago and my UGG boots (which btw were picked out of a box of 100+ shoes) came up missing along with some other items. He called me and told me that they did not have them when I was 100% certain that the boots were missing.

To make a long story short, he told me that he fired 2 employees and found out that the guy had my boots in the trunk if his car! I wanted to file a report but he refused to give me the names of the 2 men. My shoes in NO way should have been placed in any if his movers trunk! His excuse was "it's hard to find honest people". I will NEVER use services from this company EVER!

Terrible Service. No business etiquette. The owner here is named Jeff. He's a very impatient, unfriendly, unreliable business man. He will change the estimated quote price on you at the last second depending on how desperate you are. Very opportunistic selfish business person. Please do not waste your time trying to get a quote from these guys.
