College Bound Movers

This is my 3rd move with College Bound Movers. Nick and David were excellent. Arriving within the time window, they were down a team member due to illness, it didn't matter. They handled my items with care and were very efficient. The loading took about an hour, from the second floor bedroom where everything was stored to the drive way 3 stories down (2nd floor>1st floor> driveway level with basement floor).

The unloading was into a 1st floor storage unit which took about a half hour. Including the travel time, the move fit into the window they estimated with a half hour to spare. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! If I ever have to move again you are first on my list! And I will always recommend College Bound Movers as a first choice in moving.

If you need a mover, I would highly recommend CBM. They showed up early in the morning at 7:30am, came into my apartment and evaluated the situation. The three men made my move go verily easily and they were very careful with all my furniture and handled everything including all the boxes I had packed. They were very professional and courteous and did everything I asked them to do without question. They made the move in record time and were done well before noon. Moving is awesome!

College Bound Movers followed up consistently with him leading up to my move and everything went flawlessly! On move day, Jack, Max, and Richie provided my family with a seamless move into our new home. They were personable, communicative, and organized throughout the move. Definitely picked up a lifelong customer. Thank you!

After looking into several companies to help us move, we decided to go with College Bound Movers, and I can say it was a great decision because Sebastian, Nick and Collien were an amazing crew. They were careful with everything, and made it look so easy moving all the big pieces. Would recommend to all my friends hand down.

We wanted to go with college bound movers and we signed a contract with them based on the information they gave us. They were not transparent to us completely and gave us a feeling the whole house will come in 1 truck. They did say I some of the stuff will not fit but then later post contract signing they told us that about 30% of items wont fit and if i need - i will need another extra truck.

It was unfortunate for us since we lost 700$ in deposit money to them which they did not return after so many appeals. I would stay away from them since they are not fair and they are not sincere in their efforts to retain or gain new customers. I am going back to my old reliable mover who is bit expensive but really really sincere. Stay away if you can.

College Bound Movers was excellent in all area's! They were very fair on their price and the total cost actually came in under estimate. in a day when some company's are using the current economy to make an extra buck, CBM did not! Very happy with the service! PS - The three workers who did our move were awesome! they even helped with things outside of their job. A+++++++

I can't write enough about my positive experience with College Bound Movers. Right from the beginning of scheduling my move with Zack last minute (3 days before) to the end when Sebastian and David left was nothing but amazing. Sebastian and David arrived to my house in VT on time. From the first minute the were professional, kind and courteous. They loaded up the entire contents in record time.

Upon arriving to my new place, they began moving things in, placed everything where I ask. I can't not say enough about how wonderful they were. I will not hesitate recommending CBM to friends and family and if I ever move again, I will definitely use them again. Ten Stars all around!

I have used CBM several times over the past few years. I find them to be reasonably priced, excellent crews who hustle. This last move I had Nick & Jay and they were fantastic. They got my move done within an hour. Just wish I didn't have to pay for 3.but that is a corporate thing. The guys were on time, hustled and very polite. I will request them next time I need help.

I can not thank College Bound Movers enough. In July we needed them to move our house into storage while our new house was being built. Kyle, Palmer and Joey did an incredible job. We had heavy, large furniture and a curved staircase to the first floor. No damage to any walls or my hardwood floors. January 14th we hired them again and Sebastian, Kyle and Jay cleared the storage unit and brought it all to our new house with incredible efficiency and care. They were so polite and professional. If anyone asks about movers, I will definitely pass your name along. Thanks again guys! Awesome job

I had an extremely easy move with College Bound Movers. I had a large amount of items placed in an awkward area. The two movers did not complain, instead, were more than excited to help me. They moved everything at a safe and quick pace. Although I'd just met the two movers, I trusted them to handle everything in a caring manner - which they did. They were beyond polite, respectful, and kind.

They also handled narrow and winding roads very well. I found the prices to be better than most companies. They cooperated well with my timeframe. I plan on using this company for future moves.

We used College Bound Movers to pack a large MiBox (bigger and better than Pods) to put our belonging in storage after selling our house. From the initial call to the final packing we had nothing but great customer service! All questions were answered the whole process was completely transparent. Nick C. Dan. S. and Savo D. were efficient, polite, and thoughtful throughout the packing process. I highly recommend using College Bound Movers.

Folks, this is only a FRACTION of the hell I've been stuck with due to CBM moving me on 7/13/20. CBM has received these photos - where this is still ongoing, I will not add to this review where else they've been forwarded to. As of 9/8/20 - still no response toward resolution. A real shoddy way to do business. Absolutely outrageous! CBM, were you never bothered to resolve this mess, do not even try responding to this!

Worst Experience With Movers EVER! There are too many things to post about so I'll only list the few big ones! Let's start with, we are in the middle of a Global Pandemic and they were not wearing masks! This move was done into a newly built home, there is now damage to carpet, walls and doors! Handmade furniture with broken wood/glass door - looks as though they ripped the door off trying to lift.

And then proceeded to stuff the broken wood pieces into a nearby box. Have yet find any of the broken glass not the only piece of broken or damaged furniture NOTHING was wrapped in blankets & they had them, there was a pill in the truck. And for the cherry on top, there are missing items

Tyler, Frank and James completed my move efficiently, whilst also being polite and making the move enjoyable. Paul in the office made all the logistics and booking easy. I would certainly use CBM again. Thank you chaps!

This was the best and worst moving experience I have ever had. The best was that they showed up on time and were ready to work. The loading was done quickly (maybe a little to quickly, I will elaborate under the "worst") and the crew was pleasant and seemed professional. They also arrived for unloading on time. The worst is that almost all of our furniture show some effects of the move, ranging from small nicks and dings to total destruction.

My leather recliner has tears in the leather that was not there prior to the move. Some of our outdoor patio furniture shows the same damage. A part was lost from our day bed rendering it useless. Fortunately I was able to source a replacement for it. A chair that started the trip with four legs arrived with three. And when they loaded excess into our storage they gave zero thought as to how to stack it.

It literally looks like they just threw it in. I have a lot of trouble recommending this moving service. The only real positive is that they did not hit me with any up charges to their estimate. I would recommend that you stay away!

I've never actually written a Yelp review but feel compelled to do so after this experience. I'll start by saying, the movers themselves are outstanding. If I was reviewing them alone, I'd give them 5 stars. However, if I had to solely review the company and their unethical sales tactics, I'd give zero stars if that was an option. So, because of your amazing staff alone, I'm giving you three stars.

If you're planning to hire this company know that they will change your estimate two days before they are to move you and not in your favor. We changed nothing. Added nothing. In fact, my husband chose to move things himself and we were still up charged $600 and nobody can explain why. It's a bait and switch since we couldn't possibly find another mover in two days during the busiest closing weekend.

Due to the efficiency and hard work of their dedicated staff, we ended up paying a bit less but I still feel like we were taken advantage of. I'm sure they've done this to others with no remorse so watch out. I'll end this on a positive note. Their crews are wonderful, respectful, and hardworking. I wish the company took a page out of their employee handbook and acted the same way.

I used this company last summer, and it's taken me this long to calm down enough to write this review. Do not use this company if you value your furniture or your new home! I hired them for a scheduled 2-day move. They decided the morning of the move to move my entire house, which I boxed up myself (4 br, 3900+/- sf home), in one day! Huge mistake and I realize I should have not permitted this but I figured they knew what they were doing. However, they rushed the job and basically did not have enough people on the job.

They were actually carrying some of my furniture pieces, one guy instead of 2, over his unshirted, sweaty back out to the truck! Disgusting! They also had truck problems which just added to the mess that day! Numerous problems.scratched and broken furniture - chunks of wood broken off my dining room chairs and china cabinet. Bedroom wall in new house dented due to carelessness.

One guy had the nerve to say they had never moved such nice furniture! Seriously? Well, thanks, you all did your best to change that! Brand new wood floors have deep scratches thanks to their careless handling of my wall units. My driveway was marred by their truck. When I stopped up to my old house I found some of my deck furniture sitting on my front lawn! They'd never made it to the truck!

There are so many reasons I will never, ever recommend this company. My daughter is a realtor and she won't recommend them either. They are the worst. To top it all off, I did email them right after this mess and they never called me to discuss this, so buyer beware!

Moving is stressful for everyone. We have moved 6 times in 11 years and used movers every time. We decided that saving up for this luxury is worth it both mentally and physically. College Bound Movers is By FAR the best experience we have had. Tough move, moving from the first floor. to the 3rd floor. These 3 guys were professional in their work, so friendly, happy and just really awesome. they are very cognizant of time quoted for move (you never see that).

Our move was exactly as quoted, no surprises. I would highly recommend them. if you get Juan, Emmanuel and Kyle. you have the dream team. thanks for jumping in last minute Kyle! You Rock!

Firstly I have NEVER reviewed any business in my life. Typically I would rather just not use or recommend a bad service company. I've chosen to write a review based on, without a doubt, the worst customer service and business practices I could have ever imagined. I prefer to use local business as their is a sense of local support and of course local recourse in the event something went wrong.

Without spending hours in describing my horrible experience with CBM. I will just summarize some key point that make up a very bad, unorganized and highly unprofessional company. My entail call to, I guess to be a call center was fairly, what I thought, was straight forward. Please if anyone calls this company ask questions and make sure you get a straight answer!

On moving day 3 very young boys arrived. The appearance was not the best as they all looked like they just rolled out of bed and had no real sense of hygiene. They came in my home, which I consider a modest to average home, about 1500 square feet, All my worldly possessions are packed and items broken down. They, the movers, smelled like marijuana and stale cigarettes!

It took these 3 guys 5 hours to just load the truck, which was not packed very well, the truck. They had little to not blankets to protect my more delicate items. They trashed my floors and walls and took at least 5 cigarette breaks. They ask if I was buying lunch and they just seemed to be not in the mood to do much. I actually had to help one of the movers move a few things.

The unload or delivery of my things took equally the same amount of time. Mind you I do not have a ton of things and was highly organized as I was trying to keep costs down, At the end of the day it was time to pay the boys over $3000! Apparently over time rates kick in after a certain point, fuel charges, truck charges, mile fees, stairs or steps fees, tape, shrink wrap and drive time are all added in as "extra" fees.

They advertise $42 per hour but do not point out the extras till after the move or bill time. Damages to just about everything from both homes to all my items. I talked to a few people over the phone and all I got was the run around. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the attorney generals office for unfair business practices. Do not be like me and hire these guys. You will regret it and will be wasting your time writing another BAD review about this "company"

-10 would have been too good. I had to calm down a month before I wrote this. MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER. Lack of communication between crew and office staff. They were late, stressed out because they said another crew should have come. Complained most of the time.told them to complain to management. I expected some sort of professionalism but what I got was a crew that wanted to get it done as quickly and carelessly as possible because they had other commitments. I could go into a litany of MANY COMPLAINTS and damaged goods but I don't have enough room. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

This was probably one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. Stressed out about moving. Pressed for time. Three kids arrive two hours late with the wrong truck smelling like weed. Then they stood around looking at each other like they forgot why they were there. My husband had to finally pitch in to get things moving. They proceeded to throw things in the truck with no organization.

I was promised by the sales guy that they would pack and take apart furniture if need be and pack all my wall hangings with great care. When the kid moving my stuff Informed me he had no "picture boxes" for my wall hangings. I said "Mike" the sales guy assured me you guys would take care of everything. I was then informed that their boss always makes those promises and it just "pisses people off." Anyway 6 hours later they're still trying to pack the truck and decide they need another truck.

Finally another truck comes. The movers are all cranky now and complaining. "I'm hungry. "Are we done yet" "dude I'm not packing those pictures" I just want the job done so we bought them a pizza to keep them motivated. Im paying for these kids to keep going back to the truck to get high Next day they have to bring the trucks to my new house.

I call in the morning to explain my bad experience and request more help because I'm not having a repeat of the prior day. They send 3 or 4 EXTRA kids that help out for a few hours which definitely made a difference Long story short it ended up costing 2500 bcuz they had no clue how to do the job. Broken mirror and lost pieces to my daughters bed frame "oh it might be in the other truck.

I saw it somewhere." I had to pay for second truck and the extra man power even though this job was easily a 3 mover job. HOW ARE THEY IN BUSINESS? Don't use this company.ever!

I had heard good things about College Bound Movers so I didn't expect any problems. I had nothing but problems all day. I was quoted an 8 hour job with 3 guys for $1,700. At the end of a 12 1/2 hour day they tried to charge me $2,600. The crew I had was so slow. They spent more time talking and being on the phone than working. I had to keep on them and finally had to help move every box just so we could get done.

They even had to call a 4th guy in when they realized how long it was taking. I only had 1 truck of items and was only moving 15 minutes away! They also scraped my wall and put a hole in my ceiling, which now has to be patched and painted. I had scratches on almost all of my furniture. My mattress was filthy from being dragged on the ground. I would not recommend them to anyone.

College bound movers did a move for a friend of mine that I set up and they were supposed to pack the furniture with protective paper and load the freight. Many pieces were gouged and paint was damaged and pieces were broken. They took zero responsibility for anything that they did. Read your contract before you allow them to do anything for you. They will not make things right. If problems occur, you will be left holding the bag because their company will not pay anything to fix any damage that was possibly caused by their packers and loaders.

Horrible experience. Once I signed the contract with Mike Muchmore, he would not answer any telephone calls about schedule etc. Overcharged us by about $1000 dollars from the estimate. Ran out of truck space and charged us for 5 men for several hours for sitting around while they arranged another truck. Broke several things and said they will take pictures and get back to us, but they never did.

We paid $145 for insurance with zero deductible for breakage etc - never even contacted us once the money was paid. When we complained about the delay in the truck and things not being packed properly, there was a concealed threat of - do you want us to continue with packing and moving or should we leave you in the lurch. Never go with these guys. We have moved several times in the last decade and we have a big house, but never have I met such an unfriendly group

College Bound Movers did an absolutely fantastic job for me. The movers were very professional, careful, and FAST. They ended up finishing under the initial time estimate. Really liked all of the movers - Would definitely recommend this company.

April was our 3rd move with College Bound Movers. We chose to do our own packing, have them load a trailer (provided by another company) with our things. Nothing was broken or damaged in the loading. They loaded out of a 3 story town home, with 47 boxes of books on the top floor. While this move was not a 5, I would have rated the previous one as a 5+, and the 1st one as average.

We would have booked with them for the entire move, but did not realize until 8 weeks out that they could have done it and the quoted price for everything was far out of our budget. A word of caution - time estimate was dramatically under-estimated ( for this company as well as another one used at the other end) Plenty of contact by phone & email to confirm and prepare, with paperwork to read through that also provided clarity. Polite & professional handling by the office staff.

A lot of care and attention is given by the guys onsite. Ask for a quote discussing the services you are in need of - they do A LOT. I was even contacted after the move due to co-workers on the team reporting slacking to the office manager of a worker and offered a refund because the services they provided me were not up to their standards. This raises the level of service provided by CBM in my opinion.

I have and will continue to recommend CBM to anyone they can provide services to. We've moved 16+ times and they take just about the best care I've seen. They are young, fit, and treat your belongings like their own, perhaps better.
