Always a solid experience with Chelsea Moving & Storage. I've used them for the last 3 moves I've had and they are unfailingly accommodating, flexible and friendly. The move teams are fast and strong, respectful, and very careful with my things. This last move, not even a glass was broken! They're also reasonably priced. I will always use Chelsea Moving & Storage

Chelsea Moving & Storage were beyond professional and on time! They were patient and responsive during the entire moving process. None of my belongings got damaged in the process. They moved fast but professionally wrapped and secured my items. What made the experience enjoyable because I absolutely hate moving is that they were nice and friendly. I highly recommend to family and friends! And most certainly I'll keep them as my first choice if I should ever need their services again!

The movers were incredibly professional, prompt, and quick. They took great care when they moved large furniture items with no damage to any items or to either apartment. Absolutely AMAZING! The movers got us out of our third-floor, two bed, two bath apartment and into our first floor, three bed, two bath new place in just 4 hours (and I have a lot of stuff). They wrapped the furniture better than I probably would have. They were careful and QUICK. I honestly can't rate them high enough.

Chelsea Moving and Storage made my move easy and stress free! I have never used movers before so I was nervous before hand. Chelsea Moving and Storage was super communicative from the time I submitted a quote request all the way until after the move was completed. Everyone was so kind and helpful.

I cannot recommend them enough! We had a very unusual and very sensitive situation to deal with. Naomi in the office understood, and was beyond accommodating. They came when they said they would. My ill father was literally dying in the next room -- they were super efficient - and quiet as mice. They called when the items were delivered. They charged what they told me they'd charge. I am beyond grateful for the personal service! Wish I had more moves in Manhattan to hire them again. Honestly - the best ever!

This was the best moving experience I've ever had. Nothing was broken or damaged and the team went above and beyond to help reassemble furniture and move things around. The movers were professional, polite, and efficient, and followed Covid safety precautions. Highly recommend.

Donovan and his crew are the absolute best. Both times I've worked with him now, not only has he been reliable, but I feel truly taken care of. Moving can be super stressful and Donovan brings an energy of calm and "we've got this", the exact energy that is needed during a move. In terms of logistics, they have everything you could need, and are patient and so caring with each item. Hire these guys, they will become "your moving guy", I guarantee it!

Donovan and team was professional and pleasant from start to finish. Great with scheduling, ON TIME, careful and quick. Chelsea took a lot of stress out of a crazy move. Will definitely be using them again.

DON'T GO NEAR CHELSEA MOVING! DON'T GO NEAR THESE ASSHOLES! THEY WILL CHARGE YOU TWO OR THREE TIMES WHAT THEY QUOTE, AND THEY NEVER TELL YOU IN ADVANCE THAT THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE YOU THIS! Not to the very end when the whole move is totally done then they pack on all these extra extra charges that they have never never told you about! They quoted $190 an hour but it only took 2 hours and they charged me for 3 hours because they said that was their minimum hours but I was never told that.

So that's $180 extra! Arrived at 7:00a.m. instead of 7:30a.m. as they were supposed to. And expected me to pay that extra 30 minutes that would be another $90. Then tell me if they got to the new apartment building, before 9:00 and the building would not let them in, we would have to wait one whole hour that would be another $180. Then they said they were going to add on another 30 minutes for $90, for them to drive back to the office! WHAT INCREDIBLE STUPIDITY IS THAT! They're not even working for me anymore and they won't meet to pay another $90 for them to drive back to the office!

I never was told about any extra charges for packing materials, I didn't have any furniture or anything to pack. They did not pack one box or anything else whatsoever, not one box whatsoever! That added another $32 to the bill. Was never told that if they get a parking ticket I would have to pay that. Which would have been about another $135.

I went into the office FOUR times, FOUR times -- TO GET THIS WORKED OUT CORRECTLY! The Moving Manager was very arrogant, paid no attention to anything I said. That I didn't know about any of these charges that were here now that I'm ready to pay the bill and the moving is totally over. The moving manager acted like he never had any conversations with the office manager about any of these issues whatsoever no matter how many times I mentioned it - and didn't give a crap!

So the whole bill went from $360, to $707, a double increase of $347! THESE ARE THE SAME EXACT COMPLAINTS YOU WILL SEE ABOUT THEM ON YELP BESIDES ME! DON'T GO NEAR THESE ASSHOLES!

We can't say enough positive comments about this moving company. We had a particular crazy move out-of-state with not only a full 3-bedroom apartment, but 3 storage units. Donovan and Naomi came up with a realistic plan and the entire crew executed everything beautifully. We were so pleased with their professionalism and responsiveness. We knew we were in good hands. Our possessions arrived safe and sound and on time. This is the third time Chelsea Moving helped us to move. We highly recommend them. Top notch!

Donovan, Claudio, and the team were amazing! They did three moves for us and we couldn't be more please. The jobs were done very professionally and team couldn't have been nicer. From Naomi picking up the phone to all the furnitures assembled, it was 5 star service all the way!

Moving is generally considered a dreadful experience by most. However, Donovan and his team made a complicated move seamless. They arrived on time and were totally professional and respectful. We had two spots to pick up from, including a basement apartment and 3rd story walk up, before moving everything 3.5 hours away (in state). Everything was broken down, wrapped up and reassembled carefully and efficiently. I'd recommend Chelsea movers to anyone in need of their services and the next time I do, they will be my first call.

Hired these guys for a move between two Chelsea walk ups. They showed up on time and worked super efficiently. The crew had their system down, protected everything well and handled it with care. They got the whole job done in 3 hours. Everyone I dealt with was honest and straight forward, pricing was clear from the get go, no hidden fees. Highly recommend!

Amazing service! The movers were right on time, very fast and professional! I also haven't expected the rate to be the same as we agreed, it is usually higher that quoted, but here we've payed the exact amount with no hidden fees. Very grateful to Chelsea movers to have this done so easily!

I highly recommend Chelsea Moving & Storage. They are a great team to work with, beginning with the estimate, scheduling, through to the end of the move. They were on time, professional, and very experienced. My building management said that they were one of the best moving companies that they have dealt with in terms of how they loaded the elevator and moved boxes and furniture through the building to the truck. Recently moved from Hudson Yards to Harlem and was referred to Chelsea Movers by a friend. Let me note that I moved from a 5th floor walk up to a 4th floor walk up (hence why I was not about to do it myself). Three movers arrived 5 minutes early. It was 5 degrees out that day and windy. HUGE kudos to these guys. They moved my furniture, crates and bags without a scratch and very quickly. The price was extremely fair (even with a tip I added). I highly recommend to anyone in NYC! Very easy to work with yet very professional. From the first call with Naomi through unloading the final few items, they made things a breeze. I'll be using them again. Pros: -Prompt (arrived exactly at the stated time) -Quick (we were finished about 40 minutes ahead of schedule) -Had no problem with non-standard items (end tables, shelves, etc.) -All items well-wrapped so everything kept in perfect condition -Quickly provided a last minute COI request that my building asked for -Hauled away some extra items cheap -Worked around me packing some final few items because why would I ever have everything done in advance? Cons: -They'll charge you for non-reusable materials involved in packing (e.g., tape, wrapping, mattress cover) so you can either do some of this yourself or pay their prices, which are reasonable but still can add up -Got a parking ticket while loading the truck which I was then on the hook for. The guy was in the truck yet they still gave the ticket. Sucked All in all, it was a great move at a very reasonable price.

I need a last minute move so I contacted Naomi at Chelsea Moving & Storage. She was straight-forward and easy to deal with. She gave me a rough estimate of the time it should take to perform my move and it turned out to be in that range. The movers worked hard all day to carefully pack and move my stuff. They were also really nice guys who were easy to communicate with. When we unpacked, not a single thing was broken. We are satisfied customers.

Great moving company. I have used Chelsea Moving for close to 7 moves and they have always been very professional and competitively priced. Only once did something break, it was a chair, and the cost of the repair was technically outside the scope of my insurance coverage. That did not matter, Naomi took the time to have my chair properly repaired, without me incurring any additional cost. I would highly recommend this moving service.

We used Chelsea Moving & Storage for our move this past weekend. We got 3 quotes before deciding to go with Chelsea Moving. Their estimate was a few hundred dollars under Flatrate. Schleppers was twice the price! They were the only mover who agreed to take out our A/Cs. Their estimate was based on an hourly rate, whereas the other two companies based it on an estimation of boxes. Donovan, who did the estimate, was extremely professional and quick.

When I booked the move, I dealt with Naomi, who was extremely helpful. They did not require any credit card or deposit up front. They arrived on time and worked very hard on a very hot day. They were careful with our things. At the end of the move, the bill was $400 under the estimate! It was much cheaper than I expected! I highly recommend them. The only thing that was not a problem for us, but might be for others is you must pay in at least 50% cash.

This was my 5th move with Chelsea Movers and I'll never use anyone else. Always efficient, always on time, and always pleasant. Alex the owner helped me out 10 years ago when I first moved to this city and I am forever grateful. I have sent many friends to Chelsea Moving, and all have been very satisfied. They make it as painless as possible and prices are fair. Highly recommended.

Our friends recommended Chelsea Moving & Storage, and I have used their services three times (I move almost every other year) already. They were always been on time (if not a bit earlier), and all the guys worked really hard without anyone slacking off. They handled all our antique furniture pieces and fragile china boxes with special attention and care.

And during our last move it was pouring cats and dogs, and they made sure to cover everything and used the time to move things up to the apartment. They were very efficient and price was great. We made sure to give generous tips to everyone because they deserved every bit of it! I recommended them to my friends and co-workers whenever they ask me if I know of a good moving company.

Don't go with this company unless you are totally desperate AND are willing to get jacked on the fees. I used them for both moving and storage at the end of July (the move) and November (the move-in). The quote they provided me did not include a $25 fee for the COI or any disclosure that the $115/hr for 3 men included a 3-hour minimum. When they moved me in, they showed up 15 minutes before my building closed and then attempted to charge me for gas, tolls and other extras after I had laid down and picked up my own masonite.

The lead guy, Victor, even had the gall to ask me to help him unwrap my stuff and take the packing tape off the blankets. If you use them, get everything in writing and ask for pricing on everything. They will charge you for things you wouldn't even think to ask about. When I chose these guys, I didn't have the benefit of Steve G. or John B's reviews. Don't believe the 5-start reviews.

There are so many BS reviews on here. Anybody who says these guys are polite are fake reviewers. Guy goes to the wrong address, calls me, then when I correct him on the address he curses and hangs up. As I'm in work at the time my friend is there to let them in, and they immediately start complaining about the 4th floor walkup (hello? welcome to nyc you idiots) and basically worked on slashing their tip as much as possible. Was a small move and they still claimed it would take 4 hours, so no, they are NOT cheap. Never again. You have been warned.

These guys dont even deserve 1 star as far as customer service goes. I am moving a small amount of stuff 2 blocks (a bed and a sofa) and about 10 boxes and was quoted a 3 hours (which was fine) I asked if 2 hours was an option since it was so close and both were elevator buildings and Alex (the owner) decided to say he didn't want my business and hung up the phone mid-quote. I'm really glad I didn't work with this company because I couldn't imagine having to deal with this sort of inferior service if something went wrong. He could have just said no it's a 3 hour min and not hung up on me; I was just asking a question.

We went with Chelsea Moving after interviewing several moving services because Roxanne and Alex were straightforward, highly responsible and had a long track record. They carefully explained all the details of the move in advance and took the time necessary to make sure with were completely comfortable with their procedures. In addition, Chelsea Moving has sufficient insurance to cover all eventualities which is crucial to management companies that have to approve a move in advance.

We were completely satisfied with the actual move; the team 4 of four movers were careful, efficient and thorough. There was no waste motion, and their efforts generated complete confidence. We are delighted to give Chelsea Moving our highest rating.

I have used Chelsea Moving for four different moves, in both Manhattan and Brooklyn, and every occasion has been as pleasant as a moving experience could possibly be. From scheduling and organizing insurance requests with Roxanne or Naomi to the actual move date itself, everyone is professional and polite. I've never had anything arrive broken, or not arrive at all.

The guys are fast, always on time, and take great care of my belongings. I even used their storage when I lived abroad for four years, and they moved my stuff to the storage space when I left and back out when I returned. By the way, I'm writing this from the bathroom while they race around in the rest of the apartment packing and moving things. LOL.

BRAVO! What can I say-----been here for over a decade therefore I've moved a lot---these guys are very good at what they do. Starting with Alex, Roxanne & Naomi---they coordinate your move and manage your expectations-----down to Newton and his two man team---who moved me fast, worked like dogs and took personal ownership of my belongings. This is no MAN WITH A VAN.

I was never placated, no bait and switch. In fact, my relationship with them started when Chelsea Moving delivered boxes to my apt a week earlier. Then a week later--they moved all my belongings. If you want a personal reference, feel free to contact me. I would recommend them in a heart beat.
