DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS! We recently hired them to move us from NC to CA. They were very helpful on the phone, talked a good game and seemed to have all the proper insurances in place, but they didn't. Two small guys showed up at our home to start packing and demanded that we pay 100% of the move up front. We fought with them and dwindled it down to 50% upfront and 50% at delivery.

Since we were doing a cross country move and closing on our house the next day, we didn't have much of a choice. They told us it would take them 4-5 days to make the drive but they ended up calling us on day 3 saying they were close by and would be delivering at 10pm that night. Then they called back several times delaying the drop off to midnight, 2am then 5am.

My husband stayed up all night and was calling to check their progress around 3am but they didn't return his call. Almost 6 hrs later, we finally got a call that the truck had crashed around 4am and all of our things were thrown in the dessert. Our car was totaled and we lost everything. It took several hours to figure out exactly what happened and where they were.

My husband had to threaten them to get the information and talk to the police. At that point we were told to contact Penske Truck rental and work with them for the insurance claim. It sounded very fishy but we went with it out of desperation. Penske was extremely disorganized and it took them forever to finally deliver all of our stuff which was literally thrown into dumpsters and 2 trucks.

We still wanted the items delivered to us to try and salvage photos and things that were irreplaceable. After Penske delivered our items (which was so badly destroyed we had to shovel the items into trash bags off the truck), they denied our insurance claim and told us that Central Valley Movers didn't purchase any additional insurance and that they only covered the truck, not the cargo.

So that was lie #1 from the movers. So we tried to contact the movers insurance agent listed on the movers insurance certificate (Meyer Komar Insurance) but could find any contact information for him. They finally sent us a phone number and we contacted him. The agent told us that we needed to contact our own insurance to handle the claim but assured us that the movers had the proper insurance listed on their certificate (lie #2).

Upon research of the insurance agent, there seems to be fraudulent activity there as well.the insurance agent appears to be selling insurance under someone else's license! We didn't listen and contacted their insurer, Nationwide to enter a claim. Nationwide denied our claim immediately and told us that the movers only had basic liability coverage which didn't include any of our cargo.

Since then, the movers have disappeared and we are fighting with insurance thru our own homeowners policy. This company is fraudulently claiming that they have insurance and they don't. We also have several items that were stolen like jewelry, laptops, phones, etc that never showed up in the pile of junk they delivered to us. AND the movers still expected to get paid the other half of the fraudulent contract. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS.and my advice for anyone moving is to call and verify a moving companies insurance before you sign a contract and definitely get a 3rd party insurance policy on your belongings.now, we are starting from scratch and trying to list out everything that we owned in hopes that our insurance company reimburses us for part of it.

This has been a total nightmare and has taken months to resolve.the accident happened on June 22, 2016 and we're still cleaning up the glass, diesel fuel and debris from it!

My family and I have used this company 4 different times and had excellent service each time. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat to all my family and friends.

I can't say enough good things about this outfit. They gave me a package price that says they will stay on the job until it's done so I knew ahead of time what the price was. I asked for two strong guys and they sent three. They were careful and took care of my things. It was a tough job as I had way more stuff than the truck I had ordered.

I had two other companies lined up but both cancelled me out just a few days before I needed them and these guys took me on just the day before- very last minute. Five stars to Central Valley Movers!

If you call 2094160441 and visit centralvalleymovers.net to contact this business beware that it is a SCAM and they are fraudulently posting information about their licenses and abilities! They are not a licensed business and yiu shoukd not trust them! After attempting to research the validity of their business license on my own with no luck (even thru the hyperlink provided on his website! ), I asked the "owner" for more information.

He told me "if you don't trust me you should go with someone else). I asked the "owner" to provide a copy of his business license and he told me he couldn't because it would be like me showing him my birth certificate.ummmm.pretty sure those are not synonymous at all! He then quoted that "Thomas west" is his insurance carrier.no such company exists.

Still wanting to give him a chance, the "owner" agreed to meet me to show his license as well as proof of insurance to satisfy my need to know before I agree to spend nearly $1000 on something that seems a little off. He NEVER showed. No surprise really.but just proof that this was a scam. Later, my research showed that the department of consumer affairs sent cease and desist letters a couple of years ago to this company for advertising a company without adequate licensure. Finally, BBS records show that a complaint was filed in 2011 but the BBS was never able to make actual contact with this company so the complaint was closed. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR VALUABLES!

These guys are great. I recently moved my mom from Stockton to Davis. They bid the job and were willing to work with her on price. The day of the move two guys (I think it was Jeremy and his brother Shane) showed up at the house and started loading. It was a hot day and these guys just booked and got a 2 bedroom house loaded in about 2.5 hours. They even went into the basement and helped me bring up her holiday ornaments.

They moved her fridge, outdoor fountain, stone bench, all the furniture and electronics and nothing was broken or damaged. When we go to the new house, they placed all of the furniture where we wanted it and had the tuck unloaded on a little over an hour. These guys were friendly, professional and super efficient. I would recommend them and Central Valley Movers to anyone considering a relatively local move.

I called Central Valley Movers because my 1947 Hammond organ (all 400 pounds of it) was in my enclosed trailer in the driveway. I've owned this instrument for 46 years so the emotional attachment is far far beyond its dollar value. I've played it so much over the years that it should be worn out by now. Instead it just keeps on chugging.

I needed it moved from the trailer into the house. I found the man I spoke with very eager to help, even though it was just a 10-15 minute job for them. He came to the house and looked at the trailer as well as the access to the instrument's new location. I made it clear that I just needed the trailer empty by Tuesday afternoon so I could use it to haul the last load from our old home.

He said he would have it done Sunday. I told him we had tickets to the Nuts day game. He told me to call after the game. I called after we got home from the game and we set a time for later in the afternoon. The crew of 2 men showed up on-time and moved the instrument without causing any damage. The price was right, too. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Not sure if these are the same people are not because I have a different phone no. But if they are the same, then FIVE STARS! They came on time, handled my junkiest junk with care and worked fast with fair prices. I had Jeremy, Robert and Peter and all three were all top notched professional movers. Thanks guys! Just called them and they are the same guys. However, phone no is different. It's 209-416-0441. Happy Moving!
