Best moving experience ever. Moved many times in military; this was the most professional and efficient process I have seen. Despite a rain delayed start movers had positive attitude and handled all items with great care. Hunter Armstrong and his team made moving simple and easy.

They did a great job! The guys who moved us worked so hard and were so responsive to anything we asked. They were professional and polite and it was amazing how much they accomplished. Would definitely recommend Bluewhale to anyone we know if they want to feel their possessions are well cared for by professionals when they move. Hunter has walked us through the process and is available and patient whenever we have a question, let's us sleep at night knowing he has it covered!

I was so desperate for ANYONE to help us move. It was EXTREMELY last minute and this company was timely in responses and extremely helpful. The movers themselves were personable and professional. I felt our things were safe and they were communicative through the entire process. I will definitely use this company's services again in the future.

60-70% of our items were damaged. Unprofessional behavior during move. Insurance is a joke, only pays 50 cents per pound on damaged items. Overcharged an 80 year old lady.

I scheduled a move with this company in October of 2021 and these came and moved all my personal items from one house to another. There were several items which were damaged and damage to my property. I scheduled a "claim" with Ashton their claims specialist who was extremely unhelpful saying they are having trouble supporting any repairs due to a labor shortage.

What is strange is that they can operate their business but not repair a broken monitor and damaged handrail. I had waited over 3 months for a resolution but these guys have been ghosting emails and calls. I eventually had to find my own contractor for the handrail repair to complete the work and ate the cost of my monitor. They eventually sent me a check after 4 months of me calling/emailing with no response.

I called the company and said I was a reporter looking to address customer complaints and that's when I got someone on the phone to help me. Based on reviews it seems this company used to be good but it seems there has been a change in leadership which is impacting their customer service. Would not use again as they do not take care of their customers

I used them to pack my things and it went great. I called them back a 2nd time to move my things to a storage unit and one mover insulted me by saying I didn't get my house inspected correctly and continued to argue with me on how I handled my property. He was short with me and was unable to give me a "rough" eta on how long the move would take and kept saying he didn't know, despite the moving company claiming they were able to give estimated items.

The second mover overheard our exchange and apologized for his partners behavior and claimed he was always like that. I made the mistake of using them for a 3rd time to move me into my house and the couch was damaged. I can understand things like that happen and I was fine with filling out an insurance claim. This was all back in January and here we are, calling this company every week, sometimes several times, emailing and just trying to get ahold of the manager.

My thoughts are that they are hoping I'll go away and give up on getting my check. Here's to hoping the manager can see this and finally call me back. Oh and let's not forget the lost remote that was packed and never found. It's not a very organized system.

Company was great. Got move scheduled on short notice, twice. Movers on both moves were very careful with my furniture. Brett and Osborne were especially careful and friendly. They stuck with their estimate, which was very fair. No increase once on the ground. Since it was by the hour, they also didn't try to slow roll it, but hustled with care. I'd definitely use them again.

We did a cross town move. While the movers were polite, they were in a hurry - many boxes were dropped which resulted in extensive damage to our belongings. Plates/bowls were shattered - most of these pieces are irreplaceble. Every piece of furniture they moved was scratched. It has taken 3 months to receive a check for the broken items. Out of the approximately $550 it will take to replace the shattered items, they have offered me $200. Buyer beware!

I've used Blue Whale repeatedly for several moves here in Austin and they are by far the best in class. Professional, polite, responsive, expedient, friendly, and also entertaining! They tried to overcharge me for delivering items that were on my quote and then they would not contact me concerning the damages they did to my home or furniture. I submitted the damage claim form to them several times and also called to speak with the owner but got no response. Finally filed a claim with the BBB thinking they might make good but nope, they don't care that they did damage since they got paid. Don't use these scammers, but if you do don't pay them until you are completely satisfied, which will probably never happen!

Excellent in customer service, care in making sure my things were protected and secure. The movers were hard working and fun and were professional. I went through several moving companies then was quoted a decent price by Blue Whale. I would highly recommend and will be using them for any future moves. Bret and Ethan, you ROCK!

Zero stars. Horrible. They broke several items. Some glass items were wrapped with just a single layer of paper and placed at the bottom of boxes. One of the movers dropped the glass top to my coffee table. One of the packers decided to use packing tape to wrap various like silverware. I've spent a lot of time trying to get all the tape off. So I filed a claim about the broken stuff and it's been over 2 months, and beyond the initial response from them, I have heard nothing, even after contacting them twice. I DO NOT recommend Blue Whale and WILL NOT use them again.

Blue Whale movers helped move furniture from a townhouse to our home across town. The team, Arthur and KT were courteous and efficient and careful. The cost was by the hour and they worked fast and solved getting items down tight stairs effectively. Blue Whale stayed in communication before, during and after the move. I would highly recommend this company. This is out third time using them.

I would leave Blue Whale a 0 star review if possible. We used them when the father was running the show and had a wonderful experience. Now that his son has taken over I would not be surprised to see this company go under. What a disappointing excuse for a human being. Run in the opposite direction if you are considering Blue Whale. They moved us from TX to NC and caused so much damage and refuse to take responsibility.

They will not replace your damaged items. They do not understand how to pack household items. They destroyed a seven thousand dollar Restoration Hardware leather sofa with packing tape. They tore my wedding dress apart. They do not have any sort of customer service or integrity. I am grateful to be in a position to replace my damaged belongings. I know other families do not have this luxury and may be looking at using Blue Whale as a locally owned family business.

They may be thinking that their belongings are safe with Blue Whale. They do NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR BELONGINGS. They should do the right thing by their customers and I am afraid their poor business skills influence their poor decisions. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Amazing company owned by equally amazing people. They have very competitive rates and are very punctual, my last with them (I've used them more than once) was just furniture so they were going to my parents house and then to mine and my parents live kinda far out there. They found managed the massively steep driveway and arrived on time. Then they managed to find my place when a rideshare I won't name can't find my house. I've decided if I ever move one of the pieces just comes with the place because it was so large I don't even know how the guys managed to get it up my stair case that does a complete turn. I was sure I was going to be asking them to take it back to my parents house instead but they got it up there unharmed!

I hired them to pack my house for staging. They sent 2 guys for $120 per hour. I had and still have several moving boxes. Because they charge for boxes, they didn't use mine. I'm selling my couch before moving. While packing they packed a power strip with a plug for the electric recliner. Literally detached it from the couch and packed it.

I went in the pod to see if I could find it. I have not yet. What I did find were several half packed boxes. I've attached some photos for reference. And so many gaps that should've been filled to save space. I was happy to spend $700+ to not have to do this myself and now I have to do this myself.

If you have the furniture that you value, do not use this company. We had a very expensive henredon entertainment center. they broke off two of the metal handles. It was very obvious when we found the broken handles inside the unit. They never said a word. The handles cannot be replaced without replacing all of the hardware. That was one of several things they broke. Not to mention the big dents and inholes left in our wallsBy very puny guys trying to move furniture up to a second story.

The main problem with Blue Whale is that the president of the company seems to be the only person that can handle any issue and he does not return phone calls or reply to emails. It took me over 3 months to get a refund for unused storage time. Blue Whale managed to 'lose' a TV and no resolution after 8 months subsequent to filing the claim. Since October no response to my email inquiries.

Please DO NOT hire Blue Whale Moving Company for your moves! I was one of the many people that suffered a pipe burst during the Texas Freeze and decided to have Blue Whale move my undamaged furniture down one floor to a new apartment unit. The move only took 1 hour, but when they finished and left, I discovered that two of my watches that were hidden under a dresser were missing!

My father and a hired contractor saw the watches before the move, as I have pictures and videos taken to document the damage and send to my insurance company. Hunter Armstrong tried to tell me that I may have misplaced the watches in my car. I filed a police report and am currently working with an attorney to get the watches back or the value if they cannot be returned. If you value your personal property, DO NOT use Blue Whale Moving Company!

They never call me back for damages claim after moving. Wait for last three weeks with several calls but no answer. Now the lady who received my call says "There is nothing that I can do. What do you want?" This is very frustrating experience.

I had a great experience with blue whale moving company. I booked within two days of my move. The guys moved my 1/1 within 2 hours and unloaded under 2 hours. They were fast, efficient, and super friendly.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! First of all I only needed them to move one room full of furniture and they were both on time and got the job done quickly. So point one for them They clearly don't have common sense though because they put my flat inch 65 inch tv standing up in a corner with nothing to keep it from falling so guess what happened? It took a week for ME to contact the company to follow up with the claim I filed and she said she would have to confirm the settlement for my tv with the president even though the movers flat out said it was their fault and I provided a receipt for the tv I bought less than six months before they broke it.

They never called to approve the settlement and Hunter the so called manager can't seem to call me back even though he's apparently the only one who can give me any info on where my check is or how much it is for. It's been two weeks of "we put the check in the mail." And there is still no check. I had a package from New York get here in three days but a check mailed from Austin to Austin is two weeks late?

I call bullshit. I have not heard from anyone and no matter how many times I call, I can get no real answers. The cherry on top? The mover decided after breaking my tv it was a good idea to get my number off my paper work and start texting me to ask me out. WTF? This company is complete trash and I wish I had read the reviews first. Never again.

Do not use this company. Look at other reviews beyond Google. They broke items during our move and also broke the valve connection to our fridge when they offered to disconnect it. Even though at the end of the day when we signed our contract it stated "they aren't plumbers and aren't liable". If they aren't plumbers why are they offering to do work that they aren't capable of properly doing?

The fridge was the last item out of the house, after it was almost forgotten by the crew; a water leak occurred when the valve broke, which we learned about a few days later, well after we moved out. The company took zero responsibility. There are so many other choices in the area - do not use this company.

Contracted with Blue Whale to move my goods and furniture. They moved them on schedule and damaged a lot of items. They claim climate controlled storage, but my goods were stored for two weeks, and looking at the truck upon arrival for delivery, all the items were stored on the truck exactly as loaded, no climate control. After delivery, and upon submission of claim, the owner apparently disappeared.

All emails went unanswered. Finally, after I contacted the Better Business Bureau, the owner contacted me via email and had his newly reestablished "claims department" contact me. They have promised to move the claim along after 144 days when 90 days is the stated time limit to resolve or attempt to resolve claims. I would not recommend Blue Whale under any circumstances.

Lost my belongings during a storage move. Broke a lot of my porcelain items. Dentend my appliance, They said it would be cover under their insurance. Every email we sent about it they said they would never get. them but every other email they would. We filled out the paper work for the damage items with the movers for the report TWO times and they "never" got those reports either. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone

Hunter and his entire team at Blue Whale were fantastic. Moving a house of 35 years to Dallas had its challenges but the packing/move part was made seamless by Hunter's expertise in inventory and quote and for phone and email updates on schedules. Linda and her team for their thorough packing of the chandelier, mirrors and art. They called me to give me a quote. Their earliest availability was two weeks out. Which was fine. But the lady was extremely rude and just kept repeating the date her workers were free rather than explaining that was truly the earliest they could come. Even when I politely asked if it was possible she could help me out because I literally needed help for 2 hours worth of work.

She basically kept yelling the date on the phone and I ended up politely hanging up. If they were that rude before even getting started, I cannot imagine the trouble people have had going through the whole process.

I have done several office moves and none have gone anywhere near as smoothly as the one we did with Blue Whale. They were able to get a sofa out of an office without taking the door off the hinge, touching the walls/floor or taking the legs off the sofa. All of which the original people that delivered the sofa had to do and they damaged it as well. The movers were so friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend them and use them for our next move.

I rarely write reviews on Yelp, but we just finished moving and it was easily the best experience we've ever had and we have moved 12 times in the last 10 years since we've been married. From the beginning, the owner was extremely responsive, they came out and gave us a very thoughtful quote and took inventory of every item. When they showed up this morning, they took a detailed inventory again and explained that we had a few more boxes then they expected, but told us if we wanted to take some in our car they wouldn't have to charge us for them.

We knew exactly what we signed up for, which is never the case when using movers.we even were given almost a $100 credit due to the finally inventory count! The rest of the day was extremely pleasant. All 5 of the movers that showed up were all extremely polite, professional, courteous, and even with this quarantine going on! We also have 3 kids under 7 and they didn't complain once.

They wrapped all of our valuable furniture and belongings, and we never for a second felt they were not trustworthy. I can't say enough about TC, who was our main manager for the day.he was helping set up beds, coordinating what went where, and at one point took apart our fridge so it would fit through the door and told us to not worry about a thing. And we didn't. This will be the only moving company I ever recommend or use. Period.

We moved yesterday with Blue Whale and it was a good experience. The guys arrived on time, carefully packed our furniture and got everything loaded. At our destination they placed the furniture and boxes as we wanted. We are almost unpacked and everything arrived in good condition. Well done!

We had a few snags along the way...the truck was too small....the storage unit I rented was too small....yikes! In the end, Jimmy and Hunter showed up the next day to finish the job....said we are not leaving until everything is where you want it....they were tireless, pleasant and made a stressful situation so much easier. Nothing goes perfect through a move, it's how you solve the problems along the way and for that, this company is five star!

Great experience! They charge by the piece not by the hour ... the 2 guys who moved us over the 2 days were amazing. Final bill was exactly what I expected based on the estimate. All boxes are opened and not a single thing was broken, damaged or out of place. Have already recommended them to so many people.

Scheduling was a breeze. There was so problem with the date and time I chose. I really like that they charge based on what they move. It made it easier for me to manage my moving budget by shifting some things over to my new house myself to bring down the cost on my scheduled moving day. My movers were professional and personable. There was no hesitation once they showed up, they just got right to work. It was the fastest and easiest move I have ever made. I will absolutely use Blue Whale Moving again if we ever move out of this house.

Two young men showed up to move my son across town. They were visibly hot and tired since this was their 3rd or 4th move of the day, but still smiling with great attitudes! I was impressed with the level of care they took with wrapping and taping items to prevent possible damage. These guys work hard and fast. I would give them 6 stars if that were an option!

I was apprehensive about using a moving company, but can honestly HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one. Their boss even came and helped out. Super nice people! I am so grateful for all they did.

I've used this company in the past when moving to a new home and the service was outstanding. So I called them again when I relocated my office to another part of town. They're very professional, so careful when packing and moving my things. The driver was careful and drove slowly from the old location to the new one, and did some impressive maneuvering at the new space. I would definitely recommend these guys again!

I had used another moving company 3 1/2 years ago and they did not take this much care with my things. Sorry unmoved out of the city or I would use them again.
