Best Price Moving and Storage True to its name, Best Price Moving & Storage, Inc. offers superior moving services at highly competitive rates. Our company keeps it's moving costs low because it owns and operates its own fleet of vehicles. The company provides customers with a direct price without the necessity of subcontracting any third-party businesses. Also, by directly employing drivers, foremen, and moving personnel, our company ensures a consistently high level of customer service. Every company employee receives specific training in his or her duties and how to maintain a distinct level of professionalism.

Unlike many moving companies, we base it's rates on the weight of the transported objects, instead of cubic footage. This method proves preferable because weight is a concrete number, whereas some moving companies who base prices on cubic footage pack inefficiently to increase the amount of space used. Modern furniture also does not weigh as much as similar items have in the past, meaning Best Price Moving & Storage, Inc.'s billing strategy results in savings for customers. With more than 20 moving trucks currently in operation, our company successfully transports more than 6,000 household items each year.

Specializing in long-distance transportation, our company efficiently helps customers relocate throughout America. In 1997, the company attained its Department of Transportation certification, which grants the authority to transfer personal goods across the lower 48 states.

ZERO stars if that were possible. The following is intended to document the illegal and unethical practices employed by both Compass Van Lines and Best Price Moving. In short, stay away from them both, unless you like to be repeatedly lied to, have your belongings lost and broken, and then offered basically pennies for the thousands of dollars they have taken from you.

I will be clear that we made an uncountable number of attempts to resolve all of these issues with their specific teams, to no avail. I could go into much greater detail but will shorten it here. 1. We chose Compass Van Lines after doing substantial research. We got great customer service at the start; very thorough walk through twice, and was assured that despite our move being contracted to Best Price, Compass would be responsible for everything.

First lie of many. 2. Binding estimate not honored. On the day of the move (7/22/21), the Best Price movers quoted us an additional $400 in supposed cubic square footage after they loaded the truck. They could not provide evidence for this. We had actually used 10 fewer boxes than we were quoted. We later learned that there is actually law (49 CFR § 305.403(a)(6)(ii) and/or 49 CFR § 305.405(b)(7)(ii)) that requires changes to binding estimates to occur BEFORE the truck is loaded.

This new agreement must be in writing. Changes to a binding estimate cannot occur after the truck has been loaded. This unethical and illegal practice was reported to Compass Van Lines yet, as above, they were unconcerned and left the burden of proof to us, despite having violated the law. 3. Lies about storage rates. We were quoted 40 cents/cubic square foot by Compass.

Best Price charged us 50 cents, citing no knowledge of the previous quote. Because we did not have this in writing, later learning it was one of many lures they used to get you to sign the contract, we had no recourse. They will also never put anything in writing after any discussion, which is pretty convenient for them. You also can't get anyone on the phone, especially once they realize you are unhappy.

They state that their calls are all recorded; we asked to pull the recordings. They denied that request. After numerous, numerous calls regarding the lies about the storage rates, Compass agreed that we'd been quoted 40 cents per cubic square foot. They offered us a $120 refund and asked us to agree not to post any negative reviews or file any complaints about the company.

This was before our move was even complete. What a joke. We declined the money because we assumed more complaints would be coming. 4. Terrible, awful, just the very worst customer service, ever. Both Best Price and Compass must employ the worst employees ever. It is pretty laughable that the website touts customer service as the "number one priority." Before committing to work with Compass, the service was great.

As soon as we signed the contract, our POC disappeared. Managers could not be located, and when she was, Kate, was argumentative, condescending, and incompetent. There is no reasonable expectation of the company acting on any complaint. Once that was clear, I asked to speak with a manager above Kate. There is reportedly no one above Kate expect the owner of the company. We've asked to speak to the owner. We've asked for an email address to the owner. We've been told that the owner reads emails that go to the general Compass email address.

Given everything else, I'm betting that's not true. 5. The slowest moving experience of life. It took the Best Price movers quite literally 7 hours to complete the move, where other companies took 2.5 for the exact same items. Two of the three movers spent more time sitting on their phones than anything else. They damaged the wall because they weren't competent or trained.

They required frequent direction and were passive throughout the whole process, even leaving behind items that we asked them to pack. We've had great movers in the past, so this was a really disappointing experience. 6. More money on storage. We provided the delivery address to Compass and Best Price multiple times, yet both companies continued to report that they had no record of an address, so could not schedule the delivery. Meanwhile, we were being charged overpriced storage while both companies attempted to figure out how to manage the basic operations of their business. 7. Missing valuables.

In total, we were missing 7 boxes/bins, totaling about $5100. Other items and boxes were either damaged, soaking wet, or covered in some kind of grease (?). The $5100 claim was submitted to My Move Claim. We were offered $129 and had to agree to not post any negative reviews or file any further complaints, etc. This was the second time we were offered pitiful money to keep our mouths shut. No thanks. Keep your money.

Moving is super stressful. These guys make it easy. My elderly folks were moving out of state and dealing with all the big names (Mayflower, etc) getting the run around on dates, pricing, etc. We connected them with BP Moving through a referral and WOW were we pleased! They pick up the phone on the first ring, are polite and super professional. They know the business, bust their butts to get the move done, and came in thousands of dollars less expensive. Look no further for your move. Every single person we dealt with their was top notch.

Sales person promised a 2 day delivery window. They missed that by a week. Getting in touch with these guys always went to voicemail. The biggest problem was the amount of damage on so many pieces of furniture. The delivery driver was rude and charged me extra without ever going to the place (and wouldn't unload until I paid the ransom fee). If I could give a 0 stars I would.

I used best price moving last year in September but am only now getting to this review. I had to reschedule my move a couple of times because of Hurricane Irma and the new complex I was living in was undergoing a substantial clean up. Best price moving was the only company that was able to get out to me asap once the complex gave me the okay. The three gentlemen came in and did a great job wrapping everything up and moving them.

There were some stuff we ended up moving after but I should have let them do it, they even offered to move it without me ever mentioning anything. I now know for next time to trust them to do it all. Moving is one of the most stressful things you can do, this company helps alleviate that, so much so that I cannot imagine ever moving without professional movers. Thanks again!

Used this wonderful company for a second time in 3 months. They did such a good job packing and wrapping my things that I overlooked an 8 foot mirror that I thought didn't make it on the truck. The crew once again were very nice, worked really fast, and were patient as I had to go get a larger uhual to for my belongings. I've moved over 10 times in 3 years for work and they are the absolute best hands down.

The owner came in and immediately gave us a very fair quote & the day of the move, the price didn't change. The moving crew were all very respectful & courteous. Moving day, each employee introduced themselves & shook our hands, which I believe was very professional. These guys have this moving gig down packed. Everyone is doing something, team work at its finest.

They were incredibly careful with every piece of our belongings. When it came time to unloading, the same care went into it. Every piece of furniture, they asked where it should go & after it was placed down, if I didn't like it, they were more than willing to change it around. These guys were a joy to work with, especially during such a stressful time. I recommend them, without a shadow of a doubt will you be happy too. Thank you.

A bait and switch company, they tell you a price about $2K lower than the bigger moving companies and on moving day extra charges which of course holds you hostage. When they damage stuff, they use some bullshit on the bill of lading to pay you pennies on the dollar, they are the ultimate business scam

Use them second time. This time to 6th floor apartment with a complicated path. They got it done so fast and with such a positive and great attitude. They beat the rain too. Incredibly impressed. We all know how stressful moving is, let this company take out the most stressful part of it all. I won't hesitate to recommend them to everyone, and will definitely use them each time I have to make a move. Pricing is very fair, and very competitive if you shop around for quotes, but you can't top what they offer and how quickly and efficiently they move your stuff. Great job.

Do not use this moving company. When they gave me my first quote, they gave me a low price. Then when they checked my items again, then said many of the items were not on the list and the price went up. Trick people into paying more money. None of their email addresses work, they never answer the phone, and do not respond when needed. I called about 12 times within a week to finally get my delivery information.

I received all my items within the ten day window as promise which was the only thing done right. However, many of my items came broken and damaged. They make filing a claim difficult as well. Everything must be mailed and a bunch unnecessary of paperwork for items that they clearly damaged. It's 2021, fix your email.

We, unfortunately, chose Best Price Moving & Storage for our move between Chicago and North Carolina. The salesman explained that it was cheaper because they consolidated moves so that it would take 7-10 days, and at no point did they say otherwise. We were willing to put up with that for a -, which would take no more than three days. There are four reasons I regret this decision. 1) : We hadn't packed when we hired them, so it was hard to estimate how many boxes we needed to move.

They told us they would call us a few days before picking up the stuff to finalize the quote. And when they did, they weren't very interested in adjusting the quote with the details we were trying to give them. This would have been the opportunity to cancel or get rid of items based on a revised quote. Also, any adjustments on the day of the move would be more expensive so it wasn't in their best interest to help us minimize this cost. Therefore, when they arrived to take our stuff in Chicago, our initial quote increased by over 60%. 2) : Now relocated in North Carolina using cardboard furniture and plastic forks/knives, 7-10 days came and went.

When I called them to inquire, they said that was their "courtesy estimate", but because of COVID they were taking longer. They pointed to the contract. The contract said they could take up to a month and a half. Thankfully they ended up taking half as much but still twice as much as their "courtesy estimate". We could be blamed for not reading the fineprint, except the contract was signed on the day of the move in a rush because everyone had to go (first time we saw this document btw). 3) : the day scheduled for the delivery was a Saturday.

I called the main office for Best Price Movers to ensure that it went without a hitch. I asked if they would be available on Saturday, and they said they had one person scheduled to come in to deal with issues. On Saturday, I called the office all morning, and that person did not answer. When the moving truck arrived, the driver measured the distance between the truck and the apartment. Then, he calculated that it would cost us over $500 in additional costs so he could unload the truck.

It wasn't accurate so I called the office again in front of him but nobody picked up. He seemed offended and proceeded to allegedly call the office worker directly to "her cellphone", and then apparently verified his calculation over the phone but at one point "accidentally" mentioned the elevator. He told me that since he reported the elevator now the cost would increase to $700 - it was my fault because he wouldn't had called had I not questioned him.

It seemed very fake that in such a short conversation, so many numbers were crunched. After that charade, he said that the only way he would unload the truck was to transfer the money or hand over the cash. It was a hostage situation. It only surprised me a little bit when the Zelle transfer was direct to him and not the moving company that hired him.

It took him 90 minutes to unload that truck with one helper, so all the additional distance and the elevator weren't so much more work. During the ordeal, he bragged about how many jobs he was doing because of the pandemic and how people were desperate. And that what I had paid so far for my move "was nothing". He had seen people spend much more.

To me, it was a big deal. I paid almost the same amount for mediocre and slow service I would have paid for a reputable moving point-to-point company. 4) / : the kicker is once they had left and we were unloading boxes we realized one of the boxes had been repacked. Inside, there were bits of items that had broken and a few missing items. Again, nothing of great value but what offended us is they hadn't notified us that an accident had happened with our stuff. Also, we hadn't paid the high cost of insurance with them, so we would have got pennies if we would have made a claim.

In summary, don't hire them. I regret it because the move was manageable enough to make with a U-Haul, so if I wanted cheap, I could have made that happen and hired professional movers at each location to load/unload and I wouldn't have to wait weeks for my stuff. Alternatively, paying for the dedicated moving was, in hindsight, also a better alternative than Best Price Moving, because they have better guarantees in place.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY! Our whole move, from Michigan to Nevada, with this company has been a complete NIGHTMARE! Here are the issues we had: 1. 8 pieces of our furniture were damaged, some beyond repair. 2. The cost of our move MORE THAN DOUBLED! 3. They claim all labor is included but in our bill we paid $1900! 4. The company called me the night before they were supposed to arrive and said the needed to push us back 1 day because another job took too long.

We had to negotiate with our buyers to let us stay an extra day. The dispatch simply said they would be there a day late or they would give us a refund of the deposit. This would have left us without a moving company the night before we were supposed to move across the country. There was no apology or discount given for this inconvenience. 5. Best Price moving company was the actual company that moved our items.

They came in with their own boxes, took our personal items that had already been packed and put them in their boxes only to charge an extra fee. We had their own personal trash packed in with our stuff. No joke, drink bottles, napkins, etc. 6. The guy who was driving the truck called and said, based off google maps, he didn't THINK he could fit the truck through the gate into our community.

There was no attempt even made and there are 2 other gates he could have come through. We tried to explain this to him be we were met with complete disrespect and were told we had to pay an additional $1300 to move our stuff onto a smaller truck. At this point, we were at their mercy because they had our stuff and it was a Saturday. I checked with our HOA, on Monday, who said in over 3 years, they had NEVER had the issue of an 18 wheeler fitting through the gate. 7.

The guy in charge, Mario, was so disrespectful and unprofessional. He was yelling at me, telling me I needed to tell them where to put the furniture. I was trying to explain to him that I didn't know what piece of furniture it was because it was covered in blankets. He interrupted and talked over me, so loud that my husband came in from outside because he could hear what was going on.

My husband had to yell at him to leave me alone, but that didn't stop him from yelling at me again to move my car as I'm already walking with keys in hand to do so. The other men who were working with him, apologized to me and I overheard 2 of them saying they were going to complain about him after they got paid for the job. 8. We have multiple items missing, including patio furniture cushions, tools, a ladder, and at least 1 box of personal items. Filing a claim for the missing/damaged items is pure torture. I'm currently in the process and I'm sure it will take weeks if not months.

Of course, they want receipts, 2 estimates for repairs, etc. The movers kept saying "it wasn't us" as piles of damaged furniture were being collected in our front yard. Please, learn from our mistake and move your stuff yourself through a POD or rent a U-Haul. We will never again use a moving company because of this one experience. Save yourself the money, heartache and disappointment.

I was moved from Indiana to Ohio. I have moved 4 time in over the past 5 years. I I have never had an item broken or received items from another household until now. We received a quote and it ended up being double once they came to my place of residence. I am not sure how the delivery team has that authority. I believe this team did an ok job until I realized they taped directly on my ultimate sack which pulled off the upholstery and also did not dissemble my elliptical which the delivery crew didn't do as well.

Instead of being in my work out room its sitting in my garage along with a punching bag I asked at least 5 times to put in the basement and that as well is in my garage. We used this company for storage as well and received several broken items including a dinner table that my wife and I first bought 5 years ago when we started dating. They also dropped off boxes from another household and when I called the movers to pick them up since I knew they were in the area.

They said they would and never showed up. I have checkbooks and other valuable items I am sure they would need. The delivery crew also didn't show up to my house until after 4pm and couldn't get items into areas I wanted them too because they were too lazy to take a apart the equipment. As they tried to get the elliptical down the steps they scuffed my laminate floor.

This could of been avoided. The other companies that have moved me had no issues but this group couldn't provide the service needed. It got to the point that I wanted them out of my house as it was approaching 11pm. One of the crew members kept disappearing and elongating the processes. It also looks like I may be missing a box or two. I have called the facility only to be directed to a voicemail. No one has called back. I left an email at the address the operator gave me to no avail. I am expecting someone to get back to me to resolve these issues.

UPDATE: Mary the rep was obnoxious, rude and a liar. Threatened me to pay via credit card and said if i dont sign I dont get my things. She then sent another form and raised the price by 650. I signed just to get my stuff and was then told it was cash only. She did this in purpose knowing banks were closed on a Saturday. Items were picked up on 7/13.

The driver underlined and said Id get in no less than 14 days. Its now 8/8 and look at the pics of how I packed them and how they arrived. They are disgusting scam artists and a class action lawsuit and talks with local politicians will occur. Absolutely horrible! My items were picked up in Chicago and they only need to deliver 700 miles away. They told me it would be there the next week so I took the week off.

Never heard from them. Called numerous times and no response. 15 days have passed and now I am told MAYBE it will be delivered next week which outs this move over 21 days MAYBE. I have items being moved by another company from California and my things arrived in 5 days! This is the worst customer service (called 11x and not one call back) and moving company ( they jacked up the price upon pick up) I relocate often because of my job and have never had a more horrific experience.

This was such a small move and has cost me thousands in inconvenience with time off work, no clothing, etc. AVOID this company and shame on First National Van Lines for brokering out this company that has so many awful experiences. Way too many others to give these guys business. Zero stars

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I had a terrible experience with this moving company, Best Price Moving, from start to finish. Ironic that they call themselves "Best Price Moving" when they're going to nickel and dime you and you're going to end up with the worst price you could find compared to anywhere else, but they'll quote you at what you think will be a great cost.

If you get a quote from them, expect to pay TRIPLE that, minimum. Their only real skill is being con artists and finding any way to keep charging you for the tiniest things. (Ex: for packing paper, when they were using MY packing paper at my home.) I made the mistake of using a broker to find a moving company, and this is the company they picked for me.

I wish I would have known this would be the company so I could have seen their reviews and cancelled my move with them. When the movers arrived at my place, the lead mover was brash and rude. He spent more time trying to find reasons to upcharge me, which slowed down the move between the other movers doing all the labor on their own. I had to triple check the list of items that they had for me, and they would put double of furniture pieces to charge me more which I had to tell them to go back and correct.

I was moving out of a one-bedroom apartment with minimal furniture, not too difficult to mess that up. The delivery process was a million times worse. I was told that they give a 24-hour notice before they deliver. They did not honor that. Their delivery driver called me at 8 pm on a weeknight, and I let it go to voicemail because I don't answer unknown numbers after typical business hours.

When he left a voicemail, I call him back and he says sternly "Hello?" without introducing himself, super awkward and unprofessional. where I had to introduce myself and let him know that I am the customer he just called one minute ago. He told me he wanted to deliver at 8 am the following morning, so less than 12 hours notice. I had already been waiting for over 2 weeks for my furniture, so I told him that it was fine.

I was annoyed he called so late as a customer, and he gave me a snarky "do you have a problem with that?" He also told me that he might need to take a shuttle which will cost me $300. Typical they keep up charging but "it's in the contract" that they barley even give you a minute to look over without pressuring you to sign. They ended up coming 4 hours late at almost noon the next day.

The minute the two of them arrived was a nightmare. He demanded $300 IN CASH while smoking cigarettes in my garage. He said if I can't give him cash, he could "dump all my things 72 feet away and I can bring it in all by myself" I called their office to ask about other payment options, and he yelled at me in my home that I am calling him "sketchy" and he doesn't appreciate that.

I let him know I don't feel comfortable and that I don't understand this type of business practice. This was a company move for me for a work relocation, so I couldn't provide cash right on the spot. When he started the move, he asked me if I had a kitchen knife he could use. What? I told him my kitchen stuff is in the boxes. He didn't come prepared with a utensil to unwrap/cut the tape around the padding on my fragile items that the first movers packed.

What movers don't have moving tools? He was irritated that I didn't have more tools for them to use. He used my kitchen scissors and the two of them had to share which made the move take even longer, and now my nice kitchen scissors are so dull I have to buy new ones. He made me feel so uncomfortable, and I am a single woman living alone.

He continued to intimidate me and get into my personal space, making me so uncomfortable in my own home. He acted like I was inconveniencing him by moving my furniture in. He brought someone else's 2 chairs inside and I let him know those were not mine. He questioned me saying "are you SURE they're not yours?" Are you kidding me? I think I would know what furniture is mine or not.

They also left items behind when they moved my things into a shuttle. I asked if I could receive the items that are missing and he said "Do you really need them that bad? Do you really want it?" What kind of question is that? I moved it, so obviously I want it. I asked him to bring it, and he never returned, so now I have to buy replacement for the items I lost.

He continued to degrade me, interrupt me, and try to intimidate me the entire time he was moving my things and threatening me to sign my paperwork immediately and said rude things when I was going over it carefully reading the fine print. When they left, they left the place a mess and left their gross trash behind. I cannot believe the people that are working at this moving company, it was a horrible experience. I have friends and family who are also preparing for moves, and told them about my experience and they're spreading the word to stay AWAY from Best Price Moving.

Don't use! The staff is rude and unprofessional. My belongings sat in IL for four months when it was supposed to be shipped and stored in NC. Mary is extremely unprofessional and threatens customers who simply ask questions. Many companies will broker their service. Cancel your contract if so.

Update (see first review below): It got even worse. They lied to me and told me storage was in a climate controlled warehouse and it wasn't. All my stuff was in a very old metal trailer in the middle of what looked like a junkyard. They also price gouged me on storage fees. They would threaten to sell my stuff. I felt like my stuff was being held hostage.

They made it almost impossible to try to get to my stuff. I hired another mover to get my things and the rest that they didn't pack and move like they were supposed to. It took forever for them to return the calls of my new movers and they made it nearly impossible for them to get my stuff and I was on a time crunch as my house had sold and it would cost a lot more to have them move my stuff from the house and storage on separate says.

They were supposed to let my movers in at 9 am. The entrance they gave them wouldn't fit a semi. They called and Mary told them she couldn't do anything and hung up on them. They continued to call and she would just hang up. Finally at almost noon they were able to gain access. I'm certain this isn't a moving and storage company but a front for organized crime.

Everyone who was present said the same thing. In the middle of the yard was a huge mound of beer cans and chairs around it and evidence of a bonfire. And an Italian man in a very expensive silk suit came out at one point and looked straight out of the Sopranos. This being Chicago and knowing how they have the courts and police on the payroll I doubt there's a thing I can do except to warn others to stay the heck away.

My stuff was also in the trailer with someone else's stuff and my stuff was at the back and almost impossible to get to. They had a few weeks notice and did nothing to help this situation. When my stuff arrived in Texas I discovered more of their duplicity and how I was conned even further. As I mentioned in my earlier review I was originally supposed to have a semi and they sent a truck similar to a large uhaul and definitely not a semi.

They left over half of my belongings at the house in Illinois and told me I'd lose my money if I used someone else and that I'd have to hire another mover for the rest. I don't know what I'd have done if the house had sold then, but knowing what I know now I should have turned them away and eaten the $3000 deposit. I think most of my stuff would have fit if they had packed correctly.

This was another way to scam. They made me buy several of the huge wardrobe boxes and nearly all of them were only 1/4 full or had pillows in them that could have been squished down and I'd even told them not to pack the pillows. They put boxes I'd already packed in other boxes just to charge me for more boxes. Also, you are charged for square footage in moving and storage so using these huge nearly empty boxes obviously added more costs. Also, since they weren't fully packed, the boxes collapsed and stuff was crushed.

A move that should have cost me around $13,000-15,000 ended up costing over $35,000 due to having to hire two movers and all the storage fees. And I am a single disabled mom of four. That was more than I made on the sale of my house and I have nothing. I am including pictures of the truck they sent for the original move that wasn't the semi promised and then the pictures of the junkyard and trailer where my stuff was stored for a year in extreme temperatures.

Original Review: The move was arranged through Cross Country Movers. I had no choice in who I could use or I would have chosen them. Let me say, ONE STAR IS BEING GENEROUS. I'd use ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE. I'm pretty upset. He's saying it's going to be a lot more than was quoted even though I removed half of the furniture. Im leaving my kids furniture and almost I'm a single mom on disability with heart and kidney failure.

For only 500 sq ft more space they want $3000 more than what I paid I was estimated. I'm on a fixed income. They were very rude and short with me. If I had time I'd go with someone else on the basis of horrible customer service. Only one guy was nice and patient with me. But I'd definitely go with someone else over price. It's outrageous.

I feel extremely taken advantage of and feel both the movers and the packers were dishonest and misrepresented what was being done and the cost. I'm really just so upset I can hardly write or think through it all. I'm just appalled.

I had the worst most unethical experience of my life with Best Price Moving. To make things concise for the reader who wants the bottom line, They showed up two days late at 6:00 pm which required us to do some of the packing we hired them as our schedule couldn't slip any further. They changed the contract, while verbally telling me it was the same, legally overcharging me by over $2400.

The movers yelled at my girlfriend because there were too many screws in my bed to disassemble, smoked in front of me while signing the contract. These guys do not deserve to be in business. I worked with a moving broker called Northern Moving Systems, and "Best Price Moving" was contracted to both pack and move my stuff. I did not have time to verify reviews of "Best Price Moving" and I didn't know who was coming until the day of the move.

Northern Moving Systems quoted a 1080 cubic foot estimate which his the contract I signed. They also provided a 1500 cubic foot estimate contract I didn't sign. The whole time Northern Moving Systems assured me that with their contract I would only pay for what was moved. BUT "Best Price" Moving showed up TWO DAYS LATE with a different contract for a 38% overestimated contract for 1500 cubic feet, I told them I only asked for 1080, and they verbally told me that the price would go down with what was shipped.

They arrived at 6:00 PM with two hours of time to pack, I foolishly decided to believe them and not waste my time hiring a contracts attorney to look over this new contract. In the end they moved 1080 cubic feet but still charged me the EXTRA $2400+ for 1500 cubic feet. I've been told that by their lawyer that the contract they had me sign nullified my previous contract, and that it was the same as buying something from Walmart (contracts law is not).

I will be talking to my own lawyer to find out. Northern Moving talked with them too to allow me out of the contract and were frustrated as well with their unethical behavior. I hope they don't ever hire them again, but I blame them both for this

The worst moving experience I've ever had. Upon pickup, the movers left a huge mess of trash in my apartment and used the bathroom and left urine on the seat. They were rude and not personable. Upon delivery, almost every single box I had was damaged. Some were simply destroyed. When I mentioned this the delivery driver replied, "so?" The driver was also cursing and rude to me because a neighbor's car was parked somewhere that he wanted to park, despite me having no control over that.

Several items were damaged. I had to point out to one of the movers that he had loaded a dolly full of boxes with a box clearly marked fragile on the very bottom and also upside down. He tried to argue with me about if the box was actually upside down. I had to contact them several times to get my items to arrive in my delivery window, otherwise they would have been late. The customer service lady, Mary, was also incredibly rude and not helpful.

We brokered our move from Chicago to North Carolina through First National Van Lines. We were appointed the local firm, Best Price Moving & Storage. I was skeptical based on the reviews, but Channon was very helpful and thorough with our inventory, and First National Van Lines was firm with our agreed upon pricing, and ensured there were no surprise costs.

The movers did an excellent job. Our items arrived later than expected (due to Covid and protests) but the movers were very kind, all items were delivered, and nothing was broken.

Wish I could give 0 stars. The movers showed up and had an attitude immediately. The first thing William stated was "you're going to owe us more. There's no room in the truck for your stuff." This is after I had gone over the inventory with the moving company 24 hours prior. Afterwards, he continued to complain about a "long haul" and how much more money we would owe him. Extremely unprofessional and rude. These people are a total scam! Stay away!

Pete and his whole team moved my furniture very fast. The transport was amazing. I've already recommended them to my friends.

The experience of working with Best Price Moving and Storage in Chicago was misleading, elusive, and a lot of work. They providing us with a widely inaccurate quote and assurances it would not change, were very (overly) communicative prior to the pick up, and then when they came to take our things it was clear there was absolutely not coordination with the actual movers and the quote we received meant nothing.

They did not handle our furniture with care, and once we had questions about the quote, did not respond to any calls or outreach. Their general emails (I have to assume intentionally) do not work, and the person who had been contacting us about the booking completely ghosted, all while they had our stuff. As the delivery at our new location was being arranged, it was again clear the services did not speak to each other and arrival was a mess. I was gravely disappointed in the customer service and and ethics of this company. I would not recommend them.

DO NOT USE! DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR BREATH ON A PHONE CALL. The pick up went great. Angelo and crew did good. They picked up on Friday July 12, our first available drop off date was July 16, it's now July 29. I've inquired about delivery as we still don't have our stuff and they have yet to respond. Their lack of response makes me think these reviews are accurate. Update: So our stuff eventually arrived.

It came in an enterprise moving truck since they coordinated the move with a company who is just as bad. The guy that dropped our stuff off had to find his own moving crew from Craigslist. It's like you book with them and they send it off to another company you know nothing about. They broke my husbands motorcycle, glass tabletop, and put a dents and dings in other things.

We tried filing a claim but they said since we signed the proof of delivery it wasn't valid. Funny thing is, we don't have proof of that! First off go whatver yourself, secondly stop doing shady business. I'm ashamed of myself for falling for the kindness of your sales rep. I hope others don't do the same. To say they are unprofessional would be an understatement. STAY AWAY! FAR, FAR AWAY!

Edwin and Joshua moved us today and they were great. We were very pleased with how fast and carefully they moved our valuables. They were very pleasant and hardworking. Very very efficient. Will definitely recommend them.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Our overall experience was MISERABLE. The coordination of our pickup and delivery dates were a total disaster. The expected and communicated delivery dates were off by over a month! Every communication we had w Mary was pawned off on someone else claiming "it wasn't her problem or not her department". Upon arrival the driver was rude, unhelpful, and insensitive during the entire delivery. He forgot 6 of our boxes (which he almost unwillingly brought back the next day). We had 8-10 items that were broken during transit.

NEVER CONTRACT WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY! We have so many complaints I don't even know where to begin.here are the highlights: - Matched a competitor's bid and gave us a binding interstate moving quote. Then upped our charge by almost 50% when they arrived to load our possessions.without measuring, weighing or comparing items against the inventory list in our binding contract. Movers would not leave their car without us signing new quote. - After loading our possessions and driving off, they called to tell us it would cost an additional $1260 (which they later reduced to $800) to deliver our items due to a "shuttle service" requirement in the delivery neighborhood.

Despite having the delivery address from the time of contracting, they only told us of this charge after taking possession of our property. AND we have pictures of other large moving trucks delivering at the same address. - When we refused to pay these additional charges, Mary (who refused to provide her last name or title) cancelled our delivery date and threatened to put our items in storage.and charge us storage costs! - Only by agreeing to pay the increased balance ($3,158 more than our binding quote!) in CASH before delivery, did they reschedule delivery. - Then, they missed their delivery window entirely, not showing up until the next day.

I explained that our family had taken time off work and hired childcare to meet them during their delivery window. - When they did finally show up, it was simply a driver, who said he was waiting for crew. When no one else ever showed up, our family had no choice but to unload ourselves. Finally, two hours into the delivery, one guy they found on Craig's List showed up to help. - Despite repeated requests to honor our binding quote and return our $3,158, this company refused to do the right thing or even acknowledge their mistakes. We, of course, have filed formal complaints with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the Better Business Bureau to warn other consumers. RUN FAR AND FAST before ever considering this company!

I moved from the Chicago area to Phoenix this summer and must say I'm really happy with this company. I know the reputation of moving companies and I knew I was taking a gamble hiring one at all, but this was worth every penny for the hassle I didn't have to deal with. The guys came on time, the foreman was thorough and polite and the men worked fast.

My things arrived on time in Phoenix and were unloaded quickly. Everything was there. I was especially worried about my paintings and my TV, but the guys crated them with great care and they moved them without a problem. Yes, a couple of boxes looked a little smooshed, but honestly, I think that has more to do with my packing, than with how they were loaded. In short, you won't find a perfect moving company. Anywhere. But this one does their best and they are reasonably priced. I would use them again.

I can't believe how Anthony and his crew handled my move yesterday. Hands down my best move yet. Everything was handled with care and percision. The prices were affordable and they gave me a discount for taking more time then expected. Thank you guys

I really appreciate the fine work that was done. The move from my old place to the new one was a smooth transition. They were very careful with all my things, and professional. A special thanks to Charles K. I gladly recommend this company to everyone else out there.
