B&j is a awesome moving company. I'll be using them again for my next move.

They responded quickly and gave a good quoted price for the work, were on time and extremely friendly and professional. They were quick and efficient would definitely recommend them. In fact, I was giving a friend some furniture and she contacted them to move it from my house to hers and they incorporated it in the same move. She was also extremely satisfied with their professionalism, friendliness and them working it in with my move. She also will recommend them.

I had a phenomenal time with these guys until something was broken. I paid full price requesting a local move and to throw away a small futon in a dumpster 10feet from my door at The address moved to. I paid (for 12 boxes, bed frame, non heavy cat tree) $275 + $32 fee + $20 tip per guy and drinks and when I informed them I had a professional evaluate the item (a large cat tree) that cannot be fixed purchased less than a year ago all was down hill.

He told me he would only pay what he randomly determined was a depreciating value and wanted to pickup the old tree which was already disposed of as it was a safety hazard. All will be good unless then break something then don't expect any accountability. I can't imagine had it been anything more expensive. Beware

Mr. Barry & his crew were very accommodating of my unique needs for a total of 3 moves over the course of 2-3 weeks. What I liked most were the prompt responses and detailed answers to all of my questions. The price was fair and the service was fantastic. Hire them! Will definitely be using them again!

B and J Moving Services is one of the most professional moving services that I have ever used. I've used them 4 times and Barry and his crew have taken excellent care of myself and my belongings. I can't say enough about them. If you're looking for a moving company that you can trust and will take care of your belongings like they were their own, don't look an further than B and J Moving Services.

I was told they would arrive between 0800 and 0900. They arrived right before 0800. They were all polite and clearly took pride in their work. I wish I could hire them for my future military moves. I would highly recommend them!

B And J did a awesome job with our move. I can say Barry and his crew did a great job they where very professional when conducting the job. I can say the price was very reasonable thank you to him and his crew made it a easy move.

We used B and J for a partial move from Suffolk to North Carolina. The quoted price was fair. Barry and his crew showed up on time, loading everything very quickly, and unloaded everything in less than a day. One matter, however, left a bad taste in our mouths. When I first spoke to Barry by phone he told me they wrapped all breakable items in bubble wrap.

On the day of the move, we asked Barry to move our printer/copier for which we no longer had the original box. Barry told us moving the printer would be at our own risk and we agreed. When I tried to reconnect the printer at our new home, it not only did not work, I could tell it had been dropped. I then called Barry who admitted it had "fallen." I asked why it had not been wrapped in bubble wrap and he stated only that he had told me I had agreed that the printer was being moved at our own risk.

He went on to say that it had been wrapped--in a moving blanket. Wrapping a printer in a moving blanket is poor work but failing to tell me at the time of the unloading that the printer had fallen (or been dropped) is unsatisfactory.

This guys is AWSOME! He is one of the kindest people I have ever met and he does not over charge. He is reasonable and fast. I have already used his services twice in the past 3 years and am about to use them a third time for my move. I would NEVER go with anyone else besides B and J to be honest. We used B and J Moving Services this past July when we moved across the state. We received several quotes, and B and J's quote was a third of the the price of the other companies. We thought their price sounded to good to be true, but we decided to take a chance. We are so very glad that we did! They were punctual and so kind and respectful on the day of the move.

They were quickly and took great care of our belongings. We moved most of our things into storage, and they packed everything into the unit making the most of the space. We moved everything out of the unit this past November, and we were pleased to find that besides a few minor scratches on some of the furniture and a broken mug, all of our stuff had been transported safe and sound.

I would definitely recommend this company to anyone moving in the Hampton Roads area. It was such a positive experience for us, when you often hear horror stories of people using different moving companies.

Used B&J Moving for a move this weekend from Portsmouth to Norfolk. They were by far the cheapest quote that I had received so I decided to give it a whirl (my first time hiring movers). They were early to move, called first, which was excellent so we were done much earlier than I expected. They were very quick as the whole move took about 2 and a half hours. Very friendly and moved my things with care. I would DEFINITELY recommend them.

Excellent Service, Very Professional. My family and I are VERY pleased with the service we got. Barry, the owner, showed up with 3 other guys. They moved our 3 Bedroom Apartment from Marina Shores, VB to Colonial Arms in five hours. Other companies wanted to be paid over twice as much as Barry charged us.
