I can't say enough great things about door to door! After getting many quotes, I thought there was some "catch" with their pricing. NOPE! Outstanding AFFORDABLE service! I scheduled one week before our move and Mrs. Maggie got us on the books. Our movers had a great time and asked questions to make sure our move was exactly what we wanted! The 1 star is only so I can give a review. I used this company back in September to move from a 2 story 5/3 3000 sq ft house to a 2 story 4/3 2500 sq ft house. They only sent 2 movers for the job. I don't have any complaints about the movers they sent other than the fact that they were older gentleman. If there were going to be only 2 movers I would have wanted them to be younger.
The movers themselves said this was definitely not a 2 man job. I hired a moving company because I have back issues and didn't want to have the burden and strain on my back. Needless to say, me and 3 of my sons ended up helping in a big way. Fast-forward to this past Saturday, my in-laws were moving and guess what moving company they used. One of the movers was the same one that helped move me a few months back.
The manager (I think that's her position) Maggie was sitting in the truck when we arrived. My wife asked her about a previous conversation her and my mother in law had about the pricing. They gave her one price over the phone and got there and said there would be an additional fee because there were stairs. Seems like they would have asked these type of questions when the initial phone call was made.
My wife asked Maggie if she asked my mother in law those questions and her response was "I asked her everything". In any case, she lied. On top of that, my mother in law had also initially requested for some things to be moved to a storage unit. Maggie said that wouldn't be a problem at the time of scheduling. But after they got there Maggie told her they had another job they were late for and they "might" be able to come back later and move the items and she would call her to let her know.
My mother in law is still waiting for that call. Moral of the story is NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! I hope those gentleman find another moving company to work for. So no accountability at all? And no mention of my mother in law? I added a picture of my receipt with Maggie's name written by one of the movers because she wasn't on site for my move.

Ms Maggie and her team were phenomenal on our moving day! We were faced with incorrect information on the apartment building having a freight elevator and then only one of two elevators were working! It was a horrible situation but through it all the movers kept a positive attitude even after having to carry a sleeper sofa up flights of stairs because it wouldn't fit in the elevator! I cannot thank them enough for their patience. they so earned their tip. I just wish it could have been more. I would whole heartedly recommend Door to Door Movers!

Critical: Quality, Value A lot of my stuff ended up broken . They even broke the light in my new apartment . I really should have listened to the reviews. Spend a little more money and save yourself the frustration. I have to highlight THEY MOVE REALLY SLOW. like OMG but that's to be expected they are OLDER not young. Never again, ever.

The two men that moved our 3 bed room apartment were fast. And friendly I will use this company for ever move I make! These two men deserve a raise or a bonus.i gave each of them a $30 tip if I had more to spare I would have tipped more. Thanks to the men who moved us. God Bless you both. I want to give my thanks to the owner Maggie and the movers Eddie and John. I have used this company twice and their rates are good. I was very happy with the service; obviously, otherwise I would not have hired them a second time. The movers were very professional yet friendly, with good manners. They are very clean and very honest. I would recommend that you request these guys (Eddie & John) specifically. The moving process is very painful but they do manage to make it less stressful.

They are easily the best moving company in Jacksonville! This was the second time that I've used them. They will shrink wrap all of your big pieces of furniture. They took apart my power reclining loveseat to make it easier to move! They are quick AND professional! They do not charge for mileage. They only charge for the number of hours. Thank you kindly!
