I called around to a few places to receive quotes and AllStar (also owns Frontier Movers) had the best price to customer service ratio. The person I spoke with on the phone to get the quote and book the service was polite and didn't try to oversell me. I booked about 1.5 months in advance and had no issue getting my preferred date. Today the movers arrived.

They can arrive between 9-11a and came at exactly 9. Both of the men were polite and careful with all my belongings. They took apart my bed from for me and wrapped some fragile things. They were also very quick. I am a single person that was moving from one unit to another in a large complex (so they loaded everything into the truck and then unloaded it). It took them about 1.5 hours (they charge a 2 hour minimum). Overall, great company. I would use them again and recommend them.

Allstar Metro Movers did an outstanding job with our move from Scottsdale to Tucson. Lynette was my first contact to get a quote and she was very fast, accurate and accommodating. We had a 4 foot by 6 foot oil painting that needed to be boxed for storage and she said they could do it and did do it. We had to cancel the first moving date because our house sale fell through and then the second moving date had to be moved up by a day with only 2 days notice (I spoke to Lynette on Christmas eve to change our move from 12/27 to 12/26) and she was able to make the schedule changes without any extra charges. Donald and Garett did an outstanding job packing the moving truck, protecting our furniture, boxing our oil painting and unloading the contents into a storage locker. Donald and Garett were very professional and fast, they had all of the necessary equipment to protect and secure our household contents in their carpet lined truck for the drive to Tucson from Scottsdale. I would use Allstar Metro Movers again, if the need arises and would definitely recommend them to everyone. Linda

Updating my review for this business. Used them last year and I was so impressed that I called them again this year when I had to move unexpectedly. Received great service yet again. The last time we moved it was by a company that used box trucks that took several trips and more money. This time we choose Allstar because they have custom sized enclosed trailers. They made a size recommendation and it was just right. Moved in one trip, saved quite a bit of money. The movers were very professional and quick. We made a good choice of a very good moving company.

We recently used Allstar Metro Movers to pack and move us to our new home. The total experience was GREAT. The office staff was helpful and professional. The packers and movers were hard working professionals who were very respectful. The service was worth ever penny. We strongly recommend this company.

Unfortunately, I have had to move three times in the past three years due to some of the conditions that go with apartment living. All three times I have used All Star Movers and each time they have been fast and friendly. I recently had a minor knee injury and couldn't help that much. This last time was the best of all, not only were they fast and efficient, they had my back!

I live by myself and don't have anyone reliable to help me move. They went through the apartment and helped to make sure I didn't leave anything by simply pointing out stuff to me that I may have left. These guys are true pros and are great with customer service!

I went with these guys because when I was called for a quote I got a better feeling from talking to Doug than I did from other companies. They were also more reasonably priced for moving on a weekend than others. On the moving day, The crew called me at 930 and asked if it was okay if they started a little early, 10, we were originally scheduled between 11-1.

We were pretty much done packing and said that was fine. They were pleasant to deal with. One piece of furniture was broken, but it was particle board from ikea, I figured it was bound to happen because it's already been moved 3 times. They apologized. I was able to fix it with a couple of nails. Moving a two bedroom apt to a three bedroom home only took about 2.5 hours I believe. They were all amazing.

I would not recommend Allstar movers to anyone. The movers they sent to my move were older than i was and i felt like i had to help them, even after i told them i had large heavy over sized items that's what they sent me. I felt bad for one of the movers because he was doing all the work. Also i was quoted for a minimum of 3 hours and Doug made me believe that they would be able to move in that time frame.

I understand that they can not guarantee anything but my move was grossly misled. My move took 7 hours with 2 people. If Doug would have told me that it was going to take that long i would have asked for the 3 man crew not just 2. They would not take any accountability for anything and just kept telling me that they would never tell me that when in fact that is exactly what was said, and im talking about the misrepresentation of the services being provided and the time that it would take.

My son moved from Flagstaff to Phoenix and Allstar Moving did a great job. He received multiple quotes and they were reasonably priced. The crew (Larry & Omar) arrived on time. They called when they were about 1/2 hr away and when they arrived they were friendly, quick, and professional. We would happily use them again and highly recommend them.

I have used Allstar Metro Movers 2ce and found scheduling my service and the movers that came to do the work to be very, very good. This is the only moving co that didn't try to stick me with extra charges when it was time to pay. Got everything from them in writing days before my move which was comforting. The moving guys were experienced and moved quickly and carefully. I recommend Allstar Metro to everyone looking for good service and an honest company.

Update: moving company gave no refund at all for any of the damage caused. The bed frame they broke was metal and wood NOT pressed wood. My daughter will have to go without a bed for at least a month. Do NOT use these guys.

I'm happy with everything that Allstar Metro Movers ("Scott" and his crew) did on Friday 4/29 to help us with our move into our new home. Two words I'd use to describe their service are Respectful and Efficient. The day started with a phone call, giving me a heads-up that they were headed to the storage unit. After loading up the 10x20 storage unit that was stuffed full, they met me at the 1BR apartment and loaded it up.

We then met at our new house in Goodyear for the unloading process. 99% of our things got put into the correct room, and they were very careful of walls and doors and our property in general as they moved things in. I ended up paying a little over $800 for 6 hours' worth of work and driving. but I paid for good services and received it. Allstar Metro Movers, and Scott and his crew, are awesome and I'd recommend their service to anyone.

Allstar Metro Movers is remarkable. After our previous movers who we booked and paid a deposit for weeks in advanced bailed on us the day before our scheduled move, Allstar Metro Movers came to the rescue. We called Allstar Metro Movers the day before our move and scheduled them for 8:30am. We were extremely grateful. Thanks to E.J. and Anthony who showed up promptly at 8:30am very respectful of our belongings and completed said job within the scheduled period of time. We would recommend Allstar Metro Movers to anyone.

Very disappointed with the movers. Over 3 hours to move from a storage unit to a 2 bedroom apartment less than 5 miles apart. Left storage after 25 minutes. Once at apartment. They literally brought up one queen mattress & 3 couch cushions in first 24 minutes and one item every 5 minutes. They milked the clock and didn't hustle until they hit the 3 hour mark. Debit machine didn't work & had to go to the bank with these guys to withdraw $260.

My son and I have moved several times and never took that long. I didn't complain as it would have upset my son who is recovering from lung surgery and the reason we hired movers. Felt bamboozled. I even tipped them- for son's benefit only.

Back in November 2014, my family went through a very traumatic experience. They had to move out of their apartment fast. Doug and his crew were so very helpful & considerate of our very complicated situation. With great care and a genuine heart they got the job done even though our move was sort of troublesome. I appreciate their work more than I can say! And give them many stars for just being cool in a very difficult time in our lives. Thank to Doug and his guys for being awesome!

I had a great move with Allstar. Jan in the office was very helpful and the price was about 100 less than other companies I called. The guys were on time and very helpful and friendly. I had a challenging move because it was two stops, but they got everything to the right locations in a timely manner. Would definitely use Allstar again!

I used Allstar Metro Movers back in 2012 and am using them again for another move in the next couple months. I didn't think twice about calling them for the second move. Such a great company to work with! The movers are very professional and friendly. They are very fast and don't mess around. They even showed up early. The total came to exactly what they quoted me at, without any hidden fees. Unlike most other moving companies. Use this company! Doug is a delight to work with!

UPDATE FOR THE SCAM BELOW: Seeing that illy D. is a male and you're quoting me as a female multiple times as if you personally recall my situation, you're full of it. Further signifying your roll as a complete scam. Thanks for making it public. Simple fact is your policy was clearly stated as being refundable, which was told to me on the phone by your employee working the phones.

I call back two days later when I was never contacted by your manager, and this egotistical female that works there with an attitude problem, throws a 12 year old temper tantrum on the phone, refusing my refund. You're a scam, simple as that. You say one thing and do another. I've made it my personal mission to post this on every single review site and spread it throughout many friends. You've lost thousands by screwing me over a measly $85. How's that sound?

This Allstar Metro Movers place is a scam. I set up a moving date a month in advance, just for loading. I paid an $85 deposit and had everything set up. Things changed and I needed to cancel my service, so I called them up, had it cancelled and was told the manager would call me back to set up my refund. Few days go by and I don't receive a call, so I called back.

The women I talk to then proceeds to tell me that my appointment was never cancelled and that I am "still on the board" ok. So I tell her I would like to cancel, so she cancels it, and then tells me my deposit is NON REFUNDABLE. This is a flat out scam, because at no time was I told it was non refundable, and the women the day before told me it was refundable.

So after a few minutes of lies and scams, I then tell her I will just keep the appointment, as I am already paying for it, I might as well use it. Then get this, she tells me NO, the appointment has already been cancelled! WTF? So yeah, I am out $85 because of this scam company. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this place. There are tons of other moving services that don't require deposits, let alone LIE about it to a repeat customer. I've used them in the past, but I think they had a management/staff rehaul, because they have a few new policies that weren't in place before. And I am sure it's Allstar Metro Movers and not the other Allstar Movers and Storage people.

I used Allstar Metro Movers in 2010 to move from a second story apartment in Tempe to a third story apartment in Scottsdale. I hired Allstar because they offered lower rates and I noted that they have a good BBB rating, which made me feel comfortable. I did hear some horror stories from other moving companies and through some other review websites, but figured that this might just be competition.

In any case, I went ahead with it. The two guys showed up on time and overall did a good job. Again, this was from a second story to a third story. The largest items I had them move were a bed, a couch, a loveseat, and about 10-15 big boxes full of miscellaneous items. They kind of seemed worn out by the end, but who wouldn't be in Arizona and with so many stairs.

They did not damage any of my items and were polite. Like I said, overall a good job. It worries me to see the negative ratings, but I feel confident that I would use them again.

This was our first and last experience with Allstar Metro Movers, LLC. We were completely dissatisfied with the customer service and the contractors they hired. First, it's important to note that this company subcontracts out the work and provides the moving trailers. At least in our case, the owners weren't doing the work themselves, and the people they hired were not professional movers with lots of moving experience.

Some of the men assigned were doing this until they could find work in their professions (construction). We hired four movers and two moving trucks. While the movers seemed like nice fellows, they caused some damage. One mover in particular kept dropping things and scratched our stone flooring while moving some furniture. He denied he scratched it.

He also dropped and broke a shelving unit and dropped a box of glass candle holders (they didn't break). He wasn't apologetic even though we watched him do all this. The movers' boots and moving equipment also dirtied our berber carpet. And our black dresser arrived at our new home with small chips and scratched up. We didn't notice this until after they left.

We also believed they used the drive time (which we were paying for) to stop for lunch. They drove to our new location (about 35 miles away) 20 minutes before we left, which mean they would get there first. They didn't show until 30 minutes AFTER we arrived at our new place. It looked like one guy was putting away a drink and some wrappers before stepping out of his vehicle.

Even through all this, we were calm and excused their mistakes/errors. Most of the men were working hard and seemed nice. And we just wanted it to be over. But then it came time to pay. We had confirmed the amount with the office twice and OK'd a confirmation e-mail before the work started so we knew how much it would cost us. Yet the bill had an added 3.5% charge.

They neglected to tell us that they amount they quoted was contingent on a CASH payment. If we had known, we would have been happy to have cash ready, but they made no mention of it. When we called the main office to ask, they said it was in the contract. Sigh. Couldn't they just have mentioned in our THREE communications with the company that the quote was for a cash payment?

The charge wasn't much, but it was the principal of the matter. When we explained this to the person over the phone, she didn't care and refused to waive the fee. She was extremely rude. The terrible customer service and sneaky fee was the cherry on top a terrible moving experience. While we are very thankful not more damage was done, we were deeply dissatisfied with the service.

Bottom line- if you enjoy being insulted, threatened, treated like garbage, or feeling slightly masochistic; then this is your place. Generally I feel guilty speaking poorly of a company, but I do not want anyone to go through what I did. Their customer service was beyond awful. I have never wanted to rate anything less than one star before, but if I could, I would for this company.

Being in the customer service industry I know what exceptional service looks like. This company was probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The manager was demeaning, condescending, and argumentative. If you check other sites you should find others with similar stories. I had been shopping around to find a moving company to fit my needs and budget.

My recommendation is to go to Camelback movers they are highly ranked, offered exceptional customer service and a good quote. Glad the move is over with! Loving the new place!
