Allied Van Lines Agent - Schick Moving & Storage

Destroyed one of two kayaks and lost major equipment for 3 days. Insurance from Allied is a joke. Non existent. Most expensive quote I got to insure a perfect move and it was the worst experience ever.

Everyone we dealt with was very professional. Driver was very personable and handled our belongings with great care. Over all was a great experience.

Best price, extremely knowledgeable, and the customer service from first call, to delivery was second to none. I shipped from California to Florida with a great turn around time. I would never use anybody else. Employees have been there for decades for a reason, quality company! Thank You All!

Schick moving just finished packing and moving my things from CA to PA. It was all so smooth and easy. Chad was an expert at the estimate and planning. The packers, loaders, unloaders, and driver were amazing. Super nice and very communicative. I highly recommend this company.

I would highly recommend Schick for a great moving experience. Chad Scott came out to give us an estimate. I couldn't believe how fast he was in assessing the contents of our home. He provided us with an estimate, explained what would happen and answered all our questions. He followed up with me a few days later and we went ahead and booked with him.

On moving day the truck showed up on time, with plenty of movers and were super efficient with loading everything. The truck showed up on time and unloading was just as easy as loading. I appreciate all the help Chad gave us during this big move across country!

We used Schick Allied, I would not recommend this company. Schick was our second choice because the other company could not accommodate our timeline. Chad went through our house, looked at everything we had and prepared a bid for what the cost would be for our move to Utah and 3 months storage. We were told if he were to estimate over the weight, the bid would go down to the actual weight, but if he under estimated there would be no adjustment.

We received a call from Chad a few weeks later asking in an accusatory manner, if we had brought in extra items because our weight was over what he estimated. He was told no, what he saw in the house was what was packed. Chad told us when we needed our belongings to give him two weeks notice. We called on June 16th requesting our belongings and were told they were having trouble with manpower and drivers.

We received our belongings on July 16th after being charged an extra month's storage. In the final contract, the storage fee had been increased by $40.00 per month. Stay away from this company, they don't honor their contract or deliver as promised.

Critical: Professionalism Your sales person, Chad was les than professional. He made mistakes and tried blaming us. Could not deliver our belongings as promised which cost us. Would not recommend this company.

I recommend this company 100%. They moved our furniture like it was their own. Our driver Horatio called us twice during he's drive to update us!

We moved our furniture into the truck on August 14 th. We still have not even got a driver to transport our furniture to Montana. Monday will be 1 month. We were promised delivery no later then August 25th. We have no living room, dining room and bedroom furniture. You really need to ask how good the service has been. Send

From my first phone call to the delivery of my belongings this company has been great. They responded promptly to my phone calls and emails. They handled all my belongings with care. Everyone was friendly and professional. They took the stress out of my cross country move.

Chad came out a gave an estimate. Showed up on time and the move to Virginia Beach went smoothly. The truck even arrived in Virginia earlier than expected which was great since we were eagerly awaiting it. They moved everything into our new house protecting our wood floors and walls. Same truck and driver loaded our stuff in CA brought our stuff to VA and kept us updated along the way. From the estimate to delivery everything went smoothly and for a fair price.

Great team of movers! From Kevin providing an estimate, to the loading and unloading at destination. All our things were delivered! Jaime, the driver, was exceptional. Was the same driver that loaded and also unloaded at destination. Everyone super professional and going above and beyond to ensure things ran well and items stayed in the same condition at delivery! The timing was perfect and delivered as expected. Highly recommend them and will definitely be using them in future moves!

Excellent customer service from the moment we called the 800 number all the way through until the final paperwork was signed off at the end of the delivery. Would recommend Schick Moving to anyone looking for professional and trustworthy movers.

Schick Allied was highly recommended to us by some friends that had recently moved out of state. Indeed they were right! We moved from RSM, CA to Alto, NM. Upon first contacting the company, Kevin Schick set up an appointment and did a very detailed inventory and presented a competitive quote that we accepted. The schedule was set to first to package up a good portion of our belongs, followed by their truck the next day to pick everything up and start the journey. Moses and Patrick arrived as scheduled and did an excellent job of packing our belongings, many very fragile.

The next day Ismael, the terrific driver, and his team worked very hard loading the truck. As scheduled we met Ismael at our new home in New Mexico 5 days later. Within 6 hours everything was unloaded and placed in the appropriate rooms. Beds and miscellaneous other furniture assembled etc. I cannot say enough about the terrific care taken in handling our belongs. Now, 3 weeks later, that we have pretty much unpacked most items, not one item has been found broken. Good job Team Schick!

Over all it was a great moving experience that was made possible by Chad Scott! The movers were timely, friendly and efficient. Nothing was lost, nothing was damaged and no detail was left incomplete. During the quote that Chad came and provided, the cost for a shuttle was quoted to move the contents of the house to the 18-wheeler moving van due to the tight neighborhood street.

As it turned out the operating company was able to complete the move without the shuttle. However, the operating company went ahead and charged the full amount of the quote, including the shuttle. Initially they were unwilling to refund the charged shuttle cost, but after one phone call to Chad, all was resolved and he remedied the situation in a timely and professional manner! With that level of customer service in place, I would be happy to recommend Chad and the team at Schick any day of the week!

The guys were late, we were told we would have 5 guys when we were given the estimate, only 4 came and with in an hour one left because he supposedly didn't feel well. Hours went by and the owners son showed up to help and then the move was progressing smoothly. However he had to leave and things went back to a slow pace. We have moved a number of times (5 times in 9 years) and we know how our heavy large expensive pieces are supposed to be handled.

We asked from the moment they moved the first piece that from that point on everything must be properly wrapped. They did until they came back from lunch. They said they would be 30-40 mins for lunch they took an hour. When I told the guy in charge that he needed to keep wrapping the furniture he told me it takes too long and that it's slippery. I told him that he was able to move out almost everything else that way that it didn't make sense he couldn't do it anymore.

He then began to speak to me with profanity and threaten me that he would walk off the job. We don't pay thousands of dollars for professional movers to be treated this way. I'm very dissatisfied with this company and would not recommend them to anyone! They got here before 9am it's almost 3pm and we still haven't left the house to make a trip to the new one.

Great movers. Highly recommended, but would deduct a half star because a couple cheaper items were damaged in the move and they forgot one of my hose reels at the old house. The packing team was prompt and courteous and finished the job better and faster than I could imagine. Nothing that was packed was damaged.

We recently had to move coast to coast, from Tustin, CA to Ocean Isle Beach, NC. We spoke to many different moving companies before we talked to Chad at Schick Moving & Storage. We had read the good reviews on Yelp and they were no exaggeration. Chad was knowledgeable, friendly, extremely helpful and professional. He reassured us that some complications in our move would not be an issue.

From our quick and efficient packers, to our loaders, to our wonderful driver - the whole team from Schick was excellent. We have moved back and forth across country several times - this move with Schick was our best, easiest experience ever. Chad and his team will take good care of you and your belongings.

Schick Moving AND Storage are the very BEST. I have made several moves in Orange County with them. Big houses, tons of book boxes. I have never had an issue with them. They are fast and only take a few breaks throughout the day. The crews are very respectful and very careful of all items. We are an older couple and they won't let us lift a finger during the moves.

I would never even consider using another company. Oh, I have also stored with them for over a year in their place in Tustin. Very carefully packed into the vaults and detailed list of items. No hidden charges. Maybe a little more money than some of the discount companies but you get what you pay for. Thanks Schick.

Do not use Schick Moving and Storage. We used them to move us from Brea to Yorba Linda 4 weeks ago. They broke a foot from the base frame on our wine cabinet and they broke the cooling unit in the wine cabinet. They also damaged my brother-in-law's coffee table that he purchased in Japan. We paid for insurance. When I filled out the claim form they denied the entire claim based on the movers excuse that they "bent back" the broken foot so they considered it fixed.

And they said the coffee table was previously damaged even though they never showed it to me before moving it from our house in Brea. They also wouldn't cover the cooling unit because it was one of those fine print items in the contract that isn't covered. Additionally, when I called Kevin Schick, who sold us on their quality and service to escalate the denied claim, he not only didn't have the decency to call me back (emailed me instead) but his response was that he "has no influence on claims." In this situation, it wasn't just poor service, but also a lack of responsibility, ownership and flat out disrespect that has prompted my goal to ensure no one ever uses Schick Moving and Storage.

Kevin Schick was very professional, helpful and willing to work with us on the date of the move since we didn't know exactly when our house would close. We were just moving across town, but moved from a large house to a smaller condo. We moved on 1/20/2017 during one of the strongest rain storms this winter. The crew of 4 workers was great, even in the rain.

They wrapped and covered everything really well, even though they were getting soaked themselves. They worked very hard and were very polite and respectful. You could tell they knew what they were doing. Even though it was a lousy day to move, the experience with Schick Moving & Storage was great and I would definitely recommend them.

Schick's quote for moving me from Orange County, CA to the Boston, MA area was competitive. Driver Clint Ramirez and local helpers packed and moved me out on the promised day. When there was no space to park the larger moving van at the Boston area destination, Clint rented a smaller transfer truck at no charge to me. Clint and different local helpers lugged my stuff up to the third floor at the Boston area destination. All the stuff arrived in good shape except one picture glass which was chipped.

They presented professionally, provided a competitive bid, and gave me the date I needed for delivery. Then one day before packing they 'revised' the estimate up by $3,000. Had to scramble to find a different company. A friend of mine had the same thing happen with them - on they day of the move! Be careful with these guys.

This is not the best company.it awful. We just moved from placentia to Washington and one of our boxes full of DVD's collector editions worth a lot of money went missing, we didnt realize it until 3 days later. We put a claim in and they denied it because I had signed that we recieved everything but it was impossible for me to track inventory when 4 different guys were taking the boxes off the truck including the guy who was supposed to be taking inventory.

The driver told me he was exhausted because he had to bust ass to drive up here because the shipment he was supposed to get after ours was delayed so he only had a day to get to washington. He was supposed to have given me an inventory list before they started unloading but he didnt so my husband did the best he could to do their job.he asked the movers where his dvd box was and they just kept saying its here its here.

Finally at the end i was presented with two things to sign, one which was the inventory list he was supposed to have given me at the beginning which he apparently filled out himself and told me it was HIS inventory list so I signed it besides what was i going to do after the fact, make them sit there for 3 more hours while i tracked down every box?

I was sympathetic to the driver and even gave him 40$ tip. Well now they denied our claim because i signed that CUSTOMER inventory list saying that i had everything. I didnt even realize what it was until after the box was missing. Now they say the are not responsible, the box went on their truck and didnt come off.thats what i know, and on top of that i paid an extra 500 for insurance. they screwed us and they will screw you too.

The drivers name was Jamie( spanish pronounciation)had very bad english, and he hired day laborers that had nothing to do with the company. Im disgusted and appalled by their "investigation" of the whole issue and Allied should be held responsible as well as "Schick" They are probably going to have this comment erased so not to tarnish their reputation thats how corruption works. Thats ok because we are going to keep reposting everywhere every week.

This is the best company you can find for a long-distance move - hands down. I move residences quite often and find there are pros and cons with every mover I've used in the past. There are only pros with this one. Paul Arborn was my estimator, he is very experienced, accurate, professional and helpful. The moving team, John & Susan Holliday, brought professional helpers with them, not day laborers.

My move took only 2-1/2 hours on each side (pack-up & delivery). I was very lucky to get John & Susan as my mover team, they cover the west coast area - let's hope you get them for your move, too. They made the whole moving process much easier and less stressful. It makes a big difference when the movers know their job well and are organized - I just can not say enough good things about them!
