Anthony and his team loaded my items quickly from my old 5th floor walk up despite the summer heat. They unloaded at my new third floor walk up in another borough. Everything went very smoothly. I will definitely use Man With a Van for future local moves.

Man With A Van helped us with our move from Philadelphia, PA to Jersey City, NJ and are so extremely happy with our experience! The team was extremely responsive from the moment that we requested a quote. More importantly, on the day of our move, Matt, Nat, and Jason made our experience a phenomenal one. The guys were super friendly, great communicators, and willing to help in any way that they could.

I called two of the 212 numbers this afternoon and the voicemail answered that the company name was "One thousand." something. So I tried the "800" number. That one is an ad for a "medical alert system" and it is answered by a Robo woman. A few minutes after deciding these are SCAM phone numbers, I received a call from a real man claiming to be "man with a van." He (correctly) stated that he had received a call from my number. However, when I attempted to explain my experience with three of the phone numbers on Man With A Van's website, he was quite rude, saying, "Listen, we've been doing this for 20 years -- Thank you, " and then rudely hung up on me. Not a good introduction to a company you're going to entrust your cherished belongings with!

Worse customer service and liars. You will not get what you reserved and the. They will drop you. Please do yourself a favor and never use them. There are plenty of companies in NYC

It was the first hassle free removal in years, the two Moldavian guys (Igor and the other guy) were absolutely amazing! Quick, straight to the point, moved everything with care and professionalism from our flat to a storage. We had a broken desk (broken before the removal) and they straight away disassembled it. This is as one little thing that shows how experienced and hard worker they are, they even managed to arrange a quick cover for our table with their equipment without even asking, they didn't want any help either. Highly recommended, very positive experience! Would definitely call them again for the next time

5 STAR CREW! They offered to come earlier than our scheduled time which was SO generous and helpful! They moved everything into the truck quickly and discussed the route with me, showing me know exactly how long it would take via google maps. They were SO FAST and wasted no time! They drove my items from Upper East Side NYC to Upstate NY in 2.5 hours.

They arrived at my destination before me and arranged my things very neatly (attached below). Man with a Van is 100% DEPENDABLE! If you're wondering if they are legit/the best option--THEY ARE! This was my first time using Man With A Van and I had a great experience! Booking my move was easy and they were concise and fast in their responses. This was our first time using a moving service. We moved two bedrooms and a living room. The movers arrived on time and worked throughout the entire move. However, we had to provide some help as they weren't working efficiently. For example, we were able to fit pieces of furniture into the elevator that the movers weren't able to. Overall, the move took longer than it needed to and as a result our total moving costs were higher than they should have been.

I am so happy that I got the help of Man with a Van for my move this weekend! Matt and Nat were punctual, super speedy at getting everything packed up, helped me disassemble my bed and couch and transport them out and took great care with all of my things. They were also both incredibly friendly and helpful - it was great to have their help and ease the stress of moving, especially trying to move on my own without a car, everything just went so much smoother than I expected or hoped! When U-Haul told me they couldn't guarantee equipment for my move, I requested a quote from Man With A Van. This is literally the best thing that could have ever happened. The movers that were assigned to me, Jesus and Jay, we're friendly, super efficient, and professional. They moved my boxes and mattress with such expediency that they blew my mind. And, best of all, they handled everything with lots of care.

You would have thought they were moving their own belongings. I definitely recommend this service, and I don't think I'll ever move without Man With A Van ever again!

Loved my experience with Man With A Van! I had a really wonky time getting my lease settled so even though I reached out to MWAV in advance, I wasn't able to finalize my booking date and time until the day before. They were so responsive in helping me get the COI and forms I needed for my building, John (my mover) was communicative and great to work with on the day of, and the total cost (including my tip) was still FAR less than some of the other quotes I got for this move. Would absolutely use them again!

I booked Man with a Van for a 1 bedroom move from Jersey City to Manhattan, and I could give them 5 stars alone for their flexibility in rescheduling my move the day before! I hired Man With A Van for a quick job. I scheduled the move last minute (2 days before) and on the last day of the month. I was worried they wouldn't be able to schedule me in, but they got back to me fast saying and with a quote that was 1/3 the price of that from another moving company. The day of, my movers Jesus and Jay arrived early and ready.

They were very friendly and moved my things quickly and carefully. The job took less time than I thought it would. Before I booked with them, I was thinking of doing this job myself with a friend and a rented uhaul. Took a chance and used this company because I have seen their Man with a van trucks very often in the area. Working out date, time, logistics, and booking through e-mail was seamless. Very happy with Jay and Jesus, the 2 man team that was sent to move boxes and furniture, etc., from a 4th floor walk up apartment. They easily did the work of a three man team.

I've used Man with a Van several times, and I have consistently been impressed at their strong value, fast communication and reliable execution. For my last move, I had an issue where the movers accidentally broke my monitor, and the company was very responsive and understanding in resolving the issue. Would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to others.

They broke my marble side table.other than that, they were pretty helpful! Reasonable cost also.

Man with Van tried to change my time from 9 am to 8 am even though I told them my building wouldn't start the elevator that early. I had to cancel the order. But may not get my deposit back.

Mark and Calvin were punctual and very professional overall, communicating their ETA and matching it. They were thoughtful and tried to keep me from helping out as I really needed thing to move as fast as possible. I still did a lot to move things along (that's me). Both were really friendly and helpful. We wrapped up a smallish art studio move into a storage space in 3h. I'd definitely recommend them and will probably use them again in the future.

DO NOT USE THEM! They are very unprofessional and pass the Job to sub contractors. I booked them for morning and they were 4 and half hours late. My driver kept giving me false information about his ETA. He kept saying 10mins -15mins n stuck in traffic. The lady from the office wasn't helpful either n put the phone down on me. I wouldn't even rate them 1 star. So DONT waste your time booking them n look for someone professional. Thanks

Brilliant service! At late notice we had to move out, Willete did everything in her power to find us a team and she delivered! Lovely hardworking guys who did not stop until the job was finished, helped us with undoing our bed and desk quickly and efficiently! We will 100% use them again!

I am delighted with the service I received. With the other company not turning up and me left day before removal day with no way of moving my items, i was worried about booking another. However, from the point of booking online, Razvan was on hand, online and text to talk me through booking, and I got an immediate booking confirmation. The gentleman that came to move the items was early, extremely professional and helpful.

Nothing was too much to ensure we were happy with the service we received. I would highly recommend this company for all your removal needs, great value for money. I even chased them so I could leave a review, they deserved it that much! Top notch company who puts customer service before profit.

My removal company let me down last minute. My aunt contacted supermanwithvan via their live online chat. She was told the move could be done this evening. I called the Walthamcross branch to confirm my details and address. The woman who answered the phone was very dismissive and wanted to know who my aunt had spoken with and said they could not do the move without me even giving her any details yet.

I called my aunt to confirm who she spoke with. When I called back the lady, as soon as she heard my voice she said ' I spoke to you already, we can't do it' and hung the phone up on me. I called back and she answered and put me on mute! I was very shocked and disgusted, as someone who deals with customers on a daily business I cannot believe her customer service!

What a fantastic experience! I needed a large dining room table and a bunch of chairs moved from NYC to New Jersey. I had the move booked and accomplished in under a week with very little effort and no issues. They showed up when they said they would show up, they did what they said they were going to do, they charged what they said they were going to charge. They were incredibly responsive about everything, easy to communicate with, and did an incredible job. It was an absolute pleasure.

Let me preface by saying that I live alone survivng on an entry-level social worker's salary. Trust my broke ass when I say that this is the best price out there for a moving service! I needed help with a relatively small move - four 16x18x18 boxes and some larger suitcases. Requested a quote per email and got a response within the hour. The estimate was very affordable for a recent graduate like me.

I booked with a $5 deposit right away. The man in the van himself (I was helped by a man named John) came exactly on time. He was very friendly and worked fast at the same time. He noticed one of my boxes was about to fall apart and immediately wrapped it with tape that he had in the van. He also had a bunch of door stoppers equipped for heavy doors that close on their own.

The job was done within an hour and I paid the exact estimate they first gave me. Can't recommend them enough! If you need affordable, user-friendly and practical, these are your guys.

Simply THE BEST moving company. I had used Man With A Van 3 years ago for a move within New York City and love them! This time around we found ourselves having to plan a move in 2 days and Man With A Van came to the rescue! They were EXTREMELY responsive to emails, weren't pushy, had really fair prices, and most importantly mover FAST. Our two movers were super fun and friendly, and took great care of our stuff. Can't recommend them enough!

VALUE They got the job done and the drivers are nice - but they milked every minute for all it was worth. We were headed about 50 miles away in NJ. It's a trip that took me 50 minutes going the speed limit. It took my drivers 100 minutes. I ended up moving half of the furniture to the street myself because the drivers just stood around or sat in the truck for an extra 30 or 40 minutes. QUOTE Watch out for hidden fees.

When you request a quote, you won't be given the full price. You'll be quoted a price MINUS tolls and random surcharges like "commercial vehicles entering NYC pay a surcharge of $44". I would have appreciated the full quote ahead of time. POSITIVE You can pay by credit card at the end, so if you do feel you've been cheated, you have the option to challenge them. I felt that the price was right and the drivers were good guys.

DO NOT USE Man With A Van! The movers were just contractors and this is the second time I had horrible experience with them. Last time they broke my TV. I decided to give Man with A Van a second chance cuz it was a very last minute booking. They broke the floor and after I mentioned about the damage on the floor they straight out denied it. They loaded up the truck like throwing trash into a van.

Most of my furnitures were slight damaged, with some completely broken. I contacted the customer service and it's been almost a month and still no response. See picture below!

Leo and Mikey were amazing! They called ahead of time and communicated their exact ETA and arrived in the early part of the window time frame. They worked extremely fast and very efficiently, wrapped everything and were so careful and considerate with my things. Would 1000% recommend Leo, Mikey and Man with a Van to anyone moving.

They called day of to say they were having issues and would I mind if they came a bit later than originally planned. I said it was fine and to my surprise they showed up earlier than expected. They were courteous, professional and quick.

Great service I called last minute and had a van in two hours. The driver who helped me move was a machine and very experienced on how to get furniture in and out, he went out his way to help me move as I was on my own and he tried to do it as quick and safely as possible. Highly recommend I was sceptical at first with booking as they want a deposit but by far the cheapest quote I found, other companies wanted more than 300 I only paid 145, considering it would have cost me 100 to rent my own van, this was a bargain plus I got a great guy to help me, we had a full load Luton van and completed in 3 hours Will definitely be using them again

Paul did jack shieeet. typical. promised fixes and refund then said "let me get back to you" never did. His "I dont know who this is, not sure it's my company" is apparently a classic go-to. We are still living with furniture has guys dented scratched in a 13 hour 4 block move. total joke and liar. been using FlatRate ever since. Not an ad for them, but my new go-to for sure.

Run away as fast as you can. Used this company twice and it was a huge and costly mistake. They subcontract the crews so despite having scheduled and confirming a move weeks in advance they will call you at the last minute telling you that they will be several hours late. They'll lie and say that they are only a few minutes out but they may switch crews at the last minute so they can be traveling from East bumbublefuk so your move may or may not happen.

To make matters worse they will start the clock early, charge you extra for non associated travel fees before they arrive, extra times such as breaks, gas twice, or any other random delay because the movers are slow rolling as much as they can milk the hourly charges.

Incredible job and a company with great people. I called to get a quote, gave them my information, but at the time, I didn't have a specific move date yet. When I did, I only had 5 days to organize everything and the Man with a Van team helped me through the arrangements within an hour. They even facilitated me getting the necessary insurance documents my destination building required within a day. Luis & Nicholas showed up promptly, worked diligently, and made a painful process (I loathe moving probably more than the average person) fairly easy for me. Would absolutely use the company again if needed.

I used Superman with a Van yesterday; and I would definitely recommend them. The quote was reasonable for an out-of-county removals job, and they advise that insurance is in place to cover your items in transit. The office personnel was excellent and I preferred to speak with her; she was very helpful and supportive, professional very polite - fabulous The removals team were punctual, professional, courteous and communicated with me very clearly and politely. They made short work of the removals and unloading putting items wherever they needed to be, great guys - excellent!

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Quote came through quickly - clear and competitive pricing. The guys turned up on time and worked hard, they were very friendly and polite. Not a single item of furniture was damaged. I was very pleased and will use for all future moves. Highly recommend.

This was my second time moving with them. The movers are still great and got the job done quickly. I guess due to covid they raised their prices but the same move cost twice as much or more than last year, including a $150 travel charge which was $25 last year. Furthermore, the $150 travel charge does not cover tolls. The same one bed move cost was higher, from $120 to $150 per hr.

They told us if we wanted to move on the 31st or the 1st then it would be $180. With the $15 tolls, 1.5hrs of two men labor $225 and $150 travel charge the total came out to $390+tips.

I used them as movers yesterday. My TV looked fine from the outside but when I turned it on it showed the image I posted. When I contacted them they essentially said sorry about that but nothing we can do. What kind of dishonest company is this? No wonder they left in a hurry after they were done and had me sign the contract before I could test everything. Beware of using them because now I'm out 600$.

I even tipped them because they seemingly did a great job. Never again 07/17/2020 update: I see Paul the owner stated I was never a client. He left me a message 07/2019 stating he was gone from his company. Tori and Renee handled the insurance claim. Maybe figure out your records before accusing me of not being a client?

Summary: Mid Feb (pre-COVID) hired MWV for quick, local Manhattan move. FOUR months later and still *hundreds or dollars* for damaged furniture costing more than the move itself. As movers left I realized they hadn't unwrapped all furniture. I found significant damage to a solid wood, designer dresser. In providing prompt photos to Paul, he agreed it was unrepairable and to compensate me for the full cost.

Instead shady, dishonest business practices Instead Paul started dodging my emails and calls to follow up when reimbursement wasn't sent. Emails ignored, on the phone he alternated between aggressive accusations he's sent it, to promising to do it 'now/today/when he's back in office', but never failing to hang up l before I can even respond.

Eventually just, "you need to call me later" *click* EVERY time. Emails unanswered. 1.5 months in claims he needs partial payments due to COVID while admitting I was owed well before. Meanwhile he stays open for business, confuses me for others he refunded for damaged furniture, and has at least the cash from my move that he could have refunded as temporary partial payment but wouldn't.

Three months later, countless calls/emails and one partial payment (still not even cost of the move.) Other employees I spoke with were confused, apologetic, surprised I was still having to call and that he hadn't reimbursed/refunded me yet. Waited to review hoping we could resolve and I could leave a positive review, but unfortunately don't see it happening. EDIT response to owner: you yourself pointed out it wasn't repairable and offered full reimbursement (not a repairman).

I accepted said offer per our emails/calls and while you never picked it up, you were welcome to. I continued to call at your instruction to "call me back later, now's not a good time etc", and because you hadn't sent reimbursement - see date of *partial* payment. Not sure what a yelp profile has anything to do with what happened but posting people's last names is a violation of Yelp and privacy. Seems small to bully customers for leaving reviews you don't like.
