A-1 Rose Movers

By far the worst experience of my life. They held all my possessions hostage for 3 days and made me pay double what they quoted to get it back. Sent the worst crew of cigarette smoking, rude, nasty workers who mishandled and broke a ton of our stuff. Worst movers on the planet. Run away from these bad people who do bad business.

Moving can be one of the most stressful things a person can do. Add in a pandemic, time crunch and 3 kids and that stress can be magnified 10 fold. When my girlfriend and I made the short in-town move in Scotch Plains, Scott and his A1 Rose crew made the move absolutely seamless. On time, careful, with the best disposition A1 made this move an absolute pleasure. Would recommend to anyone looking to support a small local business. Thank you.

I wish I could leave no starts but it would not let me. DO NOT EVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! They are the most unprofessional group of men I have ever dealt with. They were over an hour late to my move, they smoked cigarettes in the back of the truck with all my clothes, furniture and bedding stuff. They broke my bed, my couch and a chair. I called immediately as the damage to my bedroom furniture was being done and the lady on the phone said she would call the owner.

A man came into my apartment looked at me and said " We good up here?" Unbeknownst to me, this man was the OWNER! He never once introduced himself as the owner, told me that all I needed was some wood glue to fix my bed, then left the apartment. Meanwhile he was smoking with the rest of them in the moving truck. I have been trying to get ahold of him for about a month now.

He has mailed me a check for $50 and left a voicemail telling me that "you're items are old, of little to no value, and thats what happens they are old, they break" He has never once apologized for the damage, for how his men smoked while transporting my items ( my stuff smells of cigarette smoke for over a week) or the fact that he saw his men break my bedroom set and he NEVER introduced himself as the owner at all.

This is a poor excuse for a company and I would HIGHLY recommend you move your own things before letting them touch an item. Especially if it is "old" because in this companies mind, there is no need to handle with care if they feel your items are of no value.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. This is the least professional mover I have ever had. I have moved over 40 times (airlines family). These movers broke items, delivered our items to the wrong house (two heirloom chairs from my mother), severely damaged furniture and lost items. They stacked book boxes on top of Fragile boxes, even though they were clearly labeled with bright yellow and pink labels.

Not only would they not make the move right by offering repairs or the return of our items, but they would not return our phone calls. They wouldn't even answer the phone when we called them. They would not answer texts. You should also know that they are NOT LICENSED to move in the state of New Jersey or the United States. They carry minimum insurance that only covers their trucks. This mover is the worst of the worst. No matter what the price quoted is, it is not worth it. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE MOVERS.

Roy and Bonnie made my move so easy. Any questions or concerns that I had were managed in a personal yet professional way. The movers on the team were neat, clean, courteous and respectful of me and my belongings. Every piece was moved with care and none of the items packed were lost or broken. If I hadn't moved out of state, I would use them for my next move. Cannot recommend them enough.

The Rose Movers were an extremely professional company for my family's moving experience. Their time and estimate quote was accurate and fair. The workmen were courtesy, efficient, and dedicated to carrying my belongings with care. I was nervous about my fragile glass collection and mirrors. They handled everything with kit gloves! I have used A1 Rose Movers on three different occasions, the last being a long distance move. I was able to fly while they drove my belongings and towed my vehicle half way across the country. They arrived safely and none of my belongings were damaged. The move prior that they assisted me with was tricky because of the narrow nature of the stairway.

They were experienced and figured out how to move my bed upstairs. I never would have figured out how to do it! I see that some customers who have left reviews here may not have positive experiences (I wonder if they are legit because their reviews do not sound like the work of this company at all), but there will always be some exceptions to the rule.

I have used A1 Rose Movers on three occasions. Each time was an excellent experience. They were very courteous and ensured that my belongings were packed and moved without damage. And they are very affordable. I have referred them to my friends who have also had great experiences with them. Highly recommend.

Absolute worst moving company. Damaged my furniture and many lost items. Owner never returns calls.

Cancelled at the last minute a good friend of mine very unprofessional since they did it for a bigger job. A1 isn't smelling like a rose more like a stink beetle

We had a job assisting a client unpack from her move which was provided by A1 Rose Movers. First and foremost the client moved from a large single family home to a smaller two bedroom apartment. When they unpacked the trucks into the new apartment they basically threw boxes where ever there was room completely boxing in their client. The movers left her in a sea of mislabeled, poorly taped and terribly packed boxes.

The boxes were poorly prepared, labeled and packed. More often than not you would find heavy items (i.e. meat grinder) with delicate items(glass cups, ceramic plates, vases). Furniture was broken due to poor wrapping and handling and was piled on top of each other. Items were missing according to the owner, including liquor and overall the lack of professionalism was quite obvious.

Normally you get what you pay for. Unfortunately this was not the case with this client. She paid on the higher end and received low end service. As a professional that works with clients after moves this service was beyond unprofessional.

If you need to hire a mover that does packing and/or moving, DO NOT hire this company. All of my liquor did NOT make it to my new address. My furniture was chipped and broken. As I began to unpack boxes that A1 Rose Movers packed, I found many of my glass items broken from bad packing. I found one whole box of my belongings saturated in water from a damp rid broken open pack.

They packed heavy plant stands on top of fragile lamps. They did not tie or wrap in a blanket two armoires which upon carrying them up stairs the doors keep on flying open resulting in the contents spilling out and continued on like that all the way to where the armoires where to be placed and caused damage to the.furniture. There was no staging in placing anything - everything was on top of everything else from floor to ceiling which caused me to have to hire another person to help me get to boxes that I could not possibly have gotten to myself.

I had many boxes of liquor that never made it with the move and when I went to file an insurance claim, of course, it was denied because liquor is not covered. I found shoes packed in with cosmetics. I am trying to save you much grief by taking this time to share my experience with this horrible company. They were NOT inexpensive - I paid over $2,375.00 for my belongings to be missing and ruined as a result of hiring this A1 Rose Movers company. It is my sincere recommendation to stay away from these movers.
