5 Star Moving & Storage

Worst experience ever. I don't even know how this company has not been banned off the military move list but I will be sure to let them know about this experience. Single parent with a child and it's nearly 9pm unable to leave my residence when this move could have been done in 2days. Damage has been done to my property and poorly handled. Unbelievable to even call this company 5star. I would give ZERO! Workers aren't the problem, it is the way this company is poorly managed. Sending only 3 people for a 5-6 man job or 2day job. Ridiculous!

As I was asked to give my honest opinion in my short time dealing with this employer, as a very small business, this company lacks the overall performance necessary to even be considered in assisting anyone let alone themselves. They are in desperate need of both movers and drivers so much that they sacrifice the safety of their own non-driver employees to be driven and managed by an uncertified driver instructer who's been in accidents which is by all means unlawful.

Anyone wanting to save their furniture, time and money on better rates, would be much better off looking to one of the more well known moving companies within the Springs area saving you from the hassle of property damage from a new incapable and inexperienced warehouse manager that will be in charge of handling your items. Though there are a few good workers, their turnover rate is ridiculously high so you can expect to have your valuables moved by equally inexperienced movers. Its just not worth it.

We used 5 Star Moving & Storage today to relocate a small office. The movers were polite and efficient. The move took much less time than we anticipated and also no items were damaged. We also had some extra stuff to move and guys took care of those boxes right away. Highly recommend.

I felt the movers were respectful of my things and moved in a timely manner since I was being charged per hour. The movers were friendly and engaging. My issue was that original quote I was provided. I was told a number but never was brought up the addition of tax, unload time, mileage or gas. When providing a quote the lady should have stated here is a quote plus the added etc.

I was given a quote with a 100 dollar deposit. Having a two hour distance each way was an expensive move to start. I had 9 large items but it ended up costing me 1074 not the quoted 874. That additional 200 adds up. Not to mentioned she didn't mention giving a 20percent tip on top of the 1074. I felt it wasn't fair that it was just under a two hour move and a four hour drive. to tip for 6 hours of moving. If she would have quoted me the 874 plus the cost of everything else plus tip I wouldn't have hired movers and purchased new furniture. Great movers. poor quote.

Managers responded quickly to changes and made certain to get all the details right of our complicated international move. Packers were thorough and careful with everything, made responsive adjustments to our requests, and good vibes all around. Really happy with 5 Star!

We used 5 Star Moving to move my daughter's things into storage. First contact was with Sharie. She was kind and courteous and professional. She communicated well and followed up when she said she would. The moving team, Tim, Dontay, and Matt were on time, efficient and kind. Everyone we dealt with was professional and courteous. And the pricing was very reasonable for the move. I will use their services again and highly recommend them!

The front office staff in both locations are prompt and kind - they have patiently answered all of our questions. The movers who packed us up were on-time and friendly. They explained what they were doing and they worked quickly and efficiently. We look forward to receiving our stuff when it is unpacked from storage!

My experience was amazing. This was the first time that I have ever moved in my life, so I was a bit nervous. My movers were extremely professional. They called me when they were about 30 minutes away. They explained everything in detail. Not only did they work efficiently, they handled my items with care and made sure they were put in the truck securely.

When they unloaded my items into my new place, they made sure the boxes were where I wanted them. Overall I can't thank my movers enough for how they made this transition as smooth as humanly possible. I would recommend 5 Star Moving 100000 times over!

This place is absolutely horrible. They ruined a lot of my belongings due to water damage and yet refuse to take responsibility. They claim to have delivered all of my household goods then say that the restoration company disposed of unsalvageable items. They however did not notify us of any items that were "disposed of". Meanwhile, I'm wondering where over three thousand pounds of books, movies, clothes and personal belongings went.

We submitted a claim over a month ago for damaged items and have yet to hear back. Calls and emails go unanswered. When they are answered, they refuse to acknowledge their fault in the missing items. If you have a choice, use someone else. Today I recieved a call from the owner yelling at me claiming that my review was false and that the damage was caused by a hailstorm on the 27th of July.

We recieved an email on August 1st stating that a sprinkler had burst and a small portion of my belongings had been damaged. (We received over 40 boxes of restored items and we are still finding items that are water damaged.) If it was true that the damage was caused by a hailstorm, why wait 5 days to notify the affected customers and claim it was due to a sprinkler burst.

The calls and emails that go unanswered are from the insurance company that Five Star hired to mitigate. It's been over a month since we filed our first claim and no resolution. We have moldy items in our brand new house since we cannot dispose of them until the claim is resolved.

Choose ANY other mover! I hired 5 Star to move my old antique upright piano as they repeatedly ensured me they would do a great job, I had several other items including a curio cabinet all of which I have successfully moved in the past with no issue. Their driver arrived REEKING of Cigarettes and rushed me through his paperwork. The two guys with him quickly loaded my items - I had everything on the driveway and in the living room to help expedite the process - my concern was my piano and I asked them during the loading process if they knew what they were doing -they ensured me they did.

I had them follow me to my new home and when we arrived my curio cabinet glass was shattered. My piano has a strap sized gouge out of the side and a chip out of the front! They banged and gouged my newly painted door/wall going down the stairs with another item. Since it was Saturday I was told I could call the office on Monday and make a claim, I was informed I had to pay for my move regardless.

I called Monday morning and was told to submit a claim, I would owe the first $500 and would receive only $.60/# for the remaining balance for the damage. I canNOT replace this heirloom and am just sick, they absolutely do NOT know what they are doing! Accordingly to 5 Star I owe another $500 for them to Damage my items!
